Tommy Robinson Libel Trial: left Syrian schoolboy ‘facing death threats’

A Syrian schoolboy had to flee his home and faced death threats after Tommy Robinson used social media to spread extremist views about him, a court heard.

The English Defence League founder – whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon – is being sued by Jamal Hijazi, 17.

The teenager was filmed being attacked in the playground at Almondbury School in Huddersfield in November 2018.

Shortly after the footage went viral, Robinson claimed in two Facebook videos that Jamal was ‘not innocent and he violently attacks young English girls in his school’.
