Sadly, as a Canadian, I have had to watch the Commonwealth nations, such as Australia, Canada, and New Zealand go “full steam ahead” with endless government overreach and the suspension of basic human rights.

Spooked by rising cases, provincial governments are now imposing restrictions reminiscent of the panicked first weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic. Quebec ordered the closure of all bars, casinos, theatres, gyms and spas, which was quickly mirrored by similar restrictions in B.C . If there’s one key difference from prior lockdowns, however, it’s that they are being imposed on an almost universally vaccinated adult population that is proving to be increasingly skeptical of government public health orders.
