
I’ve been reading up on the Bud Light “boycott,” an event that strikes me as being of momentous significance because as far as I can tell it’s not quite strictly a boycott. Rightly or wrongly, that’s a word I associate with organized efforts led by an identifiable political tendency. If you just do something that makes zillions of your customers quite spontaneously go “Nah,” can you claim to be the victim of a boycott?
