A minor right-wing party that is seeking to derail plans to host the next Eurovision song contest in Switzerland appears to have secured a referendum on whether local taxpayers should foot the bill.
The Federal Democratic Union (EDU), a Protestant fundamentalist vehicle with two seats in parliament, says the show is “appalling propaganda” for satanism, “woke” values and the denigration of Christianity.
