British Muslim and Jewish leaders sign ‘reconciliation’ accord

A secret summit was held in a 17th-century Scottish castle between Britain’s most senior Jewish and Muslim faith leaders, resulting in the signing of historic “reconciliation” accords that were presented to the King.

The King met the faith leaders in the 1844 Room at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday afternoon. He said of the accords “I’m so glad to hear about this,” and added that it was “the least I can do” to host them. He asked: “Did it take a long time to arrange this?”
