The treatment of British Jews proves the lie at the heart of multiculturalism

London

If you want proof that multiculturalism is a lie, look no further than the plight of British Jews. Targeted on our streets; threatened and spat upon as they go to and from synagogue; their children’s schools hidden behind prison-like security; seldom able to open their communal newspapers without seeing a report of a fanatic calling for the slaughter of fellow Jews in Israel.

This is Jewish life in the UK today. Only part of it, of course, for there are also the sweet hopes of Rosh Hashanah, the sukkah-building and celebrations of Sukkot, and the lights and latkes of Chanukah. But whatever their level of involvement in communal life, few British Jews live their lives unaware of the grim mood music.
