A failed asylum seeker has been prevented from self-deporting to the US for a second time.
Olabode Shoniregun, 28, tried to fly home to Las Vegas from Heathrow airport on May 7 – but border officials stopped him from getting on the plane.
The rejection followed his first attempt to leave the country in December, when Home Office officials declared him “unfit to fly”. At the time, officials insisted that they were “working to remove him as soon as possible”.
