Warnings to President Trump on the Future of Gaza

The Trump administration is being sent early warnings of the priorities of its possible “partner,” Qatar, for the future of the Gaza Strip.

“His Excellency” Mohammed al-Rumaihi, Qatar’s former ambassador to the United States, and former Minister of Municipality and Environment, noted on July 5 that he is concerned about “keep[ing] the Palestinian cause alive – and its people,” and slammed Israel:

“No major capital—neither Beijing, nor Moscow, nor Washington—has labelled the Gaza campaign as ‘systematic killing,’ let alone moved to punish Israel under Chapter VII of the UN Charter.”

You are not left to guess which side of the conflict he is on.

Services to students, they argue, will inevitably suffer. The cutbacks having been announced without warning, the anger is understandable. However, Quebecers would do well to get used to such financial restrictions: the province’s fiscal situation is dire, and at this stage, there is no other choice but to slow the rise in expenditures, especially for the two largest parts of the budget by far, that is health care (44 per cent) and education (15 per cent).

The left-wing media’s hysteria revolving around the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s arrests and deportations nationwide had cranked up to the next level. On Thursday’s edition of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, co-host of MSNBC’s The Weekend Symone Sanders-Townsend claimed people will see “racial profiling” as ICE continued to uphold the law. Meanwhile, another claimed ICE was “kidnapping” people.

Co-anchor Jonathan Lemire framed the segment around fear of “high profile clashes” in “Democratic controlled cities” in the country, where ICE was focusing their efforts.

Canada’s EV mandate directly benefits Musk. He’ll lose big if it’s dropped.

OTTAWA — Canada’s electric vehicle mandate is under fire from Washington — and if it falls, one of the biggest losers could be Elon Musk.

That’s because the mandate, a climate change policy from the Justin Trudeau era, requires carmakers to hit 20 percent EV sales by 2026, or else buy credits from companies that have exceeded the goal. In Canada, that means they have to buy credits from Tesla, because it only sells EVs.

The Eco-Fanatics must be so torn.

In India’s deportation drive, Muslim men recount being tossed into the sea

SATKHIRA, Bangladesh — Indian police dragged Hasan Shah from his bed in western India one morning in late April. Later, he said, officers bound his hands with rope, placed a blindfold over his eyes and put him on a boat bound for Bangladesh.

After three days at sea, Shah said, they stood him on the edge of the vessel with a life vest, untied his hands, uncovered his eyes and gave him a final order at gunpoint: “Jump into the water,” Shah remembered the officers saying.

“If you look back, we’ll shoot you.”

Canada sees U.S. asylum claim surge as both nations harden borders

A growing number of migrants in the U.S. are heading north to seek asylum, even as Canada adopts increasingly restrictive immigration policies of its own.

During the first six days of July, Canadian officials at the Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle border crossing — the busiest land port between New York and Quebec — received 761 asylum claims, a more than 400% increase from the same period a year ago, according to data from the Canada Border Services Agency. The number of claims at the crossing rose 128% in June and is up 82% since the start of the year.

Pentagon Ditches Admiral Who Allowed Drag Queen Performances On Aircraft Carrier

WASHINGTON—The Defense Department is withdrawing the nomination of Rear Adm. Michael “Buzz” Donnelly, The Daily Wire can first report, under whose command drag performances took place on board the USS Ronald Reagan.

Donnelly served as commanding officer of the aircraft carrier from April 2016 to September 2018, during which time Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley performed as a drag queen under the name “Harpy Daniels” at a department-sanctioned “Morale, Welfare, and Recreation” event on the aircraft carrier.

Brace for layoffs, budget watchdog says, as Carney government aims to slash spending by $25B

OTTAWA — The Liberal government wants to find roughly $25 billion in annual savings from the federal budget within the next three years, the Star has confirmed, a higher than expected target that the independent Parliamentary Budget Officer says will likely require civil service layoffs and cuts to funding for outside organizations.

The clarity about the goal of the government’s incoming expenditure review — two days after it first became public — sheds new light on how Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government is aiming for almost twice the level of internal “savings” than the Liberals promised during the spring federal election campaign.

This does not appear to be the massacre the media is hyping it to be.
