United Church of Canada removes Jesus, features ‘spiritual drag clown’ in ‘bold reimagining’ of Last Supper

United Church Freakshow

The United Church of Canada has unveiled its version of Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, featuring an entirely new cast of characters.

The piece, which marked not only Holy Thursday but the church’s 100th anniversary, was created to “challenge tradition depictions” of the iconic scene, and emphasizes “support for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, Racial Equity, Disability Justice, and engagement in struggles for peace and human rights.”

I find myself nostalgic for burnings at the stake.

‘We’re behind’: some senior Conservatives call out central campaign for failing to focus more on Trump’s tariffs

As the election campaign enters its final stretch and advance voting begins, some Conservatives are voicing concerns that the party’s messaging of focusing heavily on the cost of living and not enough on the pressing American trade war reflects a troubling disconnect.

They warn that this misalignment is putting the party at risk in key strongholds, and opening the door to serious Liberal challenges in seven ridings in Alberta, long considered the bedrock of the Conservative base.

‘The system isn’t working for them’: Why young men are rallying around Poilievre

For Cole Theule, age 19, voting day on April 28 will be his first time casting a ballot in a federal election. The Winnipeg native who is studying at the University of Ottawa, comes from a family with a tradition of supporting the New Democratic Party, provincially and federally. His father even worked to help local NDP candidates.

“Acceptance, inclusion, encouraging immigration, those kinds of ideas, as well as wealth distribution such as higher taxes for the rich and more government-assisted programs, were all things I was taught growing up,” Theule said.

As Election Nears, Canadians Confront a News Void on Facebook and Instagram

Mark Carney was just days away from announcing his bid to lead Canada’s Liberal Party in January when his face popped up on a viral right-wing Facebook page.

Two photographs showed Mr. Carney, who became prime minister last month, at a garden party beside Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted sex trafficker and former confidante of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. There was no evidence that Mr. Carney and Ms. Maxwell were close friends, and his team dismissed the pictures as a fleeting social interaction from more than a decade ago.

This piece reads like it was dictated by the LPC.

King Charles’ Easter Message Accelerates Britain’s Fall

The King’s anti-Christian statement and mass arrests for those voicing unfashionable opinions are ugly signs of Britain’s rapid decline.

“Tis the times’ plague, when madmen lead the blind.”
William Shakespeare, King Lear

Last Friday marked the 250th anniversary of the Shot Heard Round the World. This was the first musket shot of the American Revolution, fired across the old North Bridge near Lexington. No one knows who shot first, the British regiment on one side of the bridge or the Minute Men on the other. But everyone knows what came of it — the birth of a great nation and the perseverance of another. Today, America is still rising after twice this century rejecting malevolent suicidal leadership. While Great Britain embraced it and is thus collapsing fast.
But there is a difference to the current UK ruling Liberal Party — and Christians are getting the worst of it.

A bad King.

Activist-academics push to Make America Teetotal Again

New temperance movement wants alcohol to be treated like tobacco

What constitutes a safe level of drinking? For some activist-academics there is none – and they are loudly lobbying for alcohol to be treated like tobacco in official US health advice.

The Dietary Guidelines for Americans are under review and will be updated this year. Currently they recommend moderation: two drinks or less in a day for men and one drink or less in a day for women. Pressure, however, is being applied for a new recommendation: no safe level.

Left-leaning Jews say NDP’s preoccupation with Israel leaves them politically homeless

OTTAWA — They’ve become political orphans.

With the federal NDP becoming increasingly intertwined with anti-Israel activism, Canada’s left-leaning Jews say they’ve become excluded from the party they once called home.

And this sentiment is tangible in the midtown Toronto riding of Davenport, where prominent anti-Israel activist Sandra Sousa is the NDP’s candidate — much to the concern of the party’s Jewish supporters.

Duh.

The Iran-Hamas Plan to Unleash More Terrorism Against Israel

After bringing death and destruction on the residents of the Gaza Strip, the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group is now trying to drag Arab Israelis and Palestinians in east Jerusalem and the West Bank into a violent confrontation with Israel.

Hamas and Iran’s mullahs will not be content until they see bloodshed and violence spread to areas outside the Gaza Strip. For them, this is a way of distracting attention from the catastrophe they brought on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for the past 18 months. They want the world’s attention to shift from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the two-million-strong community of Arab citizens inside Israel.

How to crack Canada’s military recruitment and retention problem

Our country’s largest airbase, CFB Trenton, has lead in its water.

This sprawling base, on the shores of Ontario’s Bay of Quinte between the communities of Brighton and Belleville, is home to 8 Wing, and the hub of Canadian Air Force air-mobility operations in Canada. The 4,500 steadfast men and women of the Royal Canadian Air Force posted there ensure our troops can be deployed wherever they are needed, fly humanitarian support across Canada and abroad in times of crisis, and conduct search-and-rescue missions in our vast North.

I thought they solved that issue by adding more trannies?

CNN, MSNBC Use ‘Maryland Man’ Lie 506 Times, Conceal Garcia’s Illegal Status

This past week, the Trump administration revealed more incriminating evidence about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the illegal alien recently deported to El Salvador despite a withholding of removal to that country. Yet liberal cable networks CNN and MSNBC have mostly ignored the latest developments, and instead have continued to obfuscate the truth about this so-called “Maryland man.”

Canada moving to the forefront of driverless trucking, with one autonomous rig already rolling

If it’s daytime, odds are a lone box truck is cruising the streets between Toronto and Brampton, Ont., with no one behind the wheel.

Bristling with more than two dozen cameras, radars and “lidar” — a laser-based measurement of distance — the vehicle ferries groceries daily from an automated Loblaw Cos. Ltd. warehouse at a supermarket in Etobicoke to its headquarters 25 kilometres west of the city.
