Our Razor’s Edge

At some point, the patience of the American people will run out.

At the end of the year, we are on the razor’s edge of many things that soon may blow up.

Americans are far beyond President Joe Biden’s serial untruths of some eight years that he never discussed Hunter Biden’s various get-rich-quick schemes.

All were predicated on the perception of foreign interests purchasing from the Biden family the influence of then-senator, vice president, and possibly soon-to-be President Joe Biden.

Liberals, NDP say no plans to merge, despite strong Conservative lead in polls

With the Conservatives poised to make major gains in the next election, don’t expect to see the Liberals and NDP duplicate the 2003 Conservative merger that stopped vote splitting on the right, despite their current close partnership in Parliament.

The Liberal and New Democratic parties may be looking at their current polling numbers with unease, but party insiders and analysts say the two parties believe they would have more to lose if they joined forces and ran on the same ticket.

Singh urges solidarity, respect amid heightened fear in Jewish and Muslim communities

OTTAWA – Canadians can and must do better as hate crimes increase during the Israel-Hamas war, federal New Democrat Leader Jagmeet Singh says, calling back to his own experiences of being targeted for his identity.

There has to be space for people to express their fears, worries and political opinions without provoking hateful conduct, Singh said in a year-end interview with The Canadian Press.

“I think we can be better as a country,” the NDP leader said in a phone call from Toronto.

We’ll be doing better the moment your citizenship is revoked and you’re deported to India Singhy.

Canada seen as an ‘unserious player on the international stage,’ says Chamber of Commerce CEO

Says his kids punched him out

Perrin Beatty said in an open letter to the PM that the country needs to boost defence spending to deal with an increasingly dangerous world

OTTAWA — The head of Canada’s largest business organization wants the government to step up internationally, warning the country is seen as increasingly irrelevant on the world stage.

Perrin Beatty, CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, released an open letter to the prime minister this weekend, arguing that the country has to do more and develop a foreign policy and defence policy designed to meet today’s challenges.

I don’t trust the Chamber of Crony Capitalists to speak in anyone’s favour but their own.

Ottawa to accept 1,000 applications from Hamas seeking a way out of Gaza

The federal government says a maximum of 1,000 Palestinian relatives of Canadian citizens will be able to apply to escape the Gaza Strip with Canada’s help.

The special extended family program for people in Gaza is set to launch next week, after Palestinian Canadians pleaded with the government for months to rescue their loved ones as the Israel-Hamas war continues.

The policy details released last week say the program will stop taking applications either after it receives 1,000 requests or after a year has elapsed.

Multiculturalism is tearing Britain apart

Britain’s struggle to integrate some of its ethnic and religious minorities continued to cause significant social problems in 2023.

There was nothing on a par with 2022’s disorder in Leicester, when Hindu and Muslim youths fought street battles with each other over the course of several weeks. That eruption of inter-ethnic violence on to the streets of a British city ought to have been a moment for us to take a deep breath, and to work out how to bridge these divisions. Yet it seems that over the past 12 months, too many have been keen to brush this fracturing of community relations under the carpet. Even local politicians, such as Labour MP for Leicester West Liz Kendall, have continued to romanticise Leicester as some sort of paragon of multicultural harmony.

The ‘Two-State Solution’ Echoes Hitler’s ‘Final Solution’

This is not a land dispute but a war to terminate Israel.

Israel is fighting our fight.

For civilization.

Against the barbarians.

Yet — Biden/Harris, Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Lloyd Austin, Senate/House Democrats publicly urge Israel to ramp down, even stop its military in Gaza. Imagine FDR in newspapers (read by the Nazis) — scolding Churchill — “Not victory, Winston, it’s stalemate, stupid!”

Canada’s highest-paid CEOs make 246x the average worker, says new report

It was another record-breaking year for Canada’s richest CEOs.

In one work day, and less than a half hour into the new year — 27 minutes to be exact — Canada’s 100 highest-paid CEOs will have already earned the average worker’s annual salary, according to a new study by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA).

It translates to roughly $60,600 by 9:27 a.m. on Jan. 2, if you include Monday as a paid holiday, according to the report.

When you make that kind of dough you must believe it your duty to betray your fellow citizens in all sorts of scummy ways like mass immigration.

Chinese teenager found alive in Utah woods after ‘cyber-kidnapping scam’

A Chinese exchange student who fell victim to a “cyber-kidnapping” scam, in which his parents were extorted for $80,000, was found alive but “cold and scared” in a tent in the Utah wilderness, police said.

Kai Zhuang, 17, was reported missing on Thursday after his parents in China told officials at his host high school in Riverdale, Utah, that he appeared to have been kidnapped and a ransom had been demanded.

Why Christian Leaders Ignore Attacks on Their Community

On December 26, Iran’s Lebanese terror proxy Hezbollah attacked St. Mary’s Greek Catholic Church in Iqrit, northern Israel. An anti-tank guided missile fired from Lebanon directly hit the church, severely wounding an 85-year-old civilian. Nine Israeli soldiers who rushed to rescue the churchgoer were then wounded by a second missile strike. Hezbollah boasted about the attack and posted a video of its missiles hitting the church.

The attack did not elicit any response from any major Christian organization in the West. By contrast, the pope was quick to denounce the killing of two Christian women in the Gaza Strip, falsely insinuating, however, that Israel was responsible.
