Hamas Can’t Be Beat, Assures NY Times Longtime Anti-Israel Voice in Lead Story

The New York Times lead story Thursday certainly was a downer for those who support the one democracy in the Middle East in its war on the terrorists of Hamas. Longtime reporter Neil MacFarquhar penned a piece headlined “Skepticism Grows Over Israel’s Ability to Dismantle Hamas.” But MacFarquhar’s long history of anti-Israel, pro-Arab bias makes him the least dependable reporter to pen a lead story on the Israel-Gaza war.

His lead opened the floor to Hamas’s representative in Lebanon.

Study forecasts challenges of electric vehicle chargers on northern power grids

A study is revealing some of the challenges that electric vehicles will pose to northern power grids — and it’ll likely be revised now that Canada has a plan for phasing out the sale of gas-powered cars and trucks.

“At no point in our studies did we consider 100 per cent electric vehicle adoption,” said Michael Ross, a researcher at Yukon University who is leading the study.

Ross, an industrial chair in northern energy innovation, said his research is looking at slow to high adoption rates of electric vehicles in Dawson City and parts of Whitehorse and Yellowknife. So far, it’s showing some of the ways residential power grids will be strained if people in those neighbourhoods add Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations to their homes, he said.

Ontario court rejects Facebook user’s attempt to throw out defamation suit for post labelling drag performers ‘groomers’

Just what the hell is that thing? Look at the expressions on the kids faces.

An Ontario Superior Court justice has rejected an attempt by a Facebook user to throw out a defamation suit against him, ruling he did not speak in the public’s interest when he posted to his page that drag performers in a Northern Ontario city were “groomers” who exploit and abuse children.

Israel Had ‘No Defense Plan’ for a Hamas Surprise Attack Prior to Oct. 7: Report

As thousands of heavily-armed Hamas terrorists flooded into and fanned across Israel on Oct. 7, they capitalized on the Israel Defense Force’s belief that such an assault was “impossible,” leaving the IDF outmanned, outgunned and outmaneuvered, a report said Saturday.

The surprise attack — carried out on the Sabbath and the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah — saw some 1,200 people killed and another 240 abducted back to Gaza while Israeli troops scrambled to meet the multi-pronged offensive, the New York Times reported, citing interviews with dozens of personnel and witnesses, as well as documents and videos.

Will Justin Trudeau stay or call it quits? We listened to his year-end interviews, and this is what they revealed

It became the number-one question in Canadian politics in 2023: will Justin Trudeau stay or go?

The prime minister has an easy answer for this: He’s staying. Next question.

Yet the speculation will carry over into 2024, no matter how many times Trudeau insists he’s leading the Liberals into the next election, whether that happens in 2024 or 2025.

The Islamophobia myth

There has been an undeniable surge in antisemitism over the last few decades that has far outstripped prejudice against any other minority group. And since Hamas’s horrific terror attack on October 7th and the war that followed, there has been a nearly four-hundred percent increase in antisemitic incidents across the United States, including demonstrations by woke progressives and Islamists on university campuses and in major cities, where protestors chant antisemitic slogans and call for extermination of the Jews.

Is there another people on earth against whom their murder, rape, and torture arouse enmity rather than empathy?

Canadians abused by mass immigration

Migration to Canada reaching 50-year highs, especially among non-permanent residents: StatCan

“When the Liberal government came in, in 2016, they appointed a committee to evaluate various ways of improvement for the growth of the Canadian economy. Members of this committee were mostly businessmen, but also academic economists, and they all recommended a dramatic increase in immigration numbers,” he said in an interview with CTVNews.ca.

“… A study published this year by researchers at StatCan, Brock and Western universities found that between 2010 and 2017, the introduction of low-wage TFWP workers correlated with lowered earnings for the lower-skilled, least-paid Canadian employees of a firm, but higher earnings for the higher-skilled, highest-paid Canadians.

“A major challenge of administering a (TFWP) is that foreign workers facing poor employment options in their home country have incentives to accept jobs to work in Canada for lower wage rates than a typical Canadian would accept,” the study reads.

“This can lead to worse outcomes for Canadians in the labour market if firms internalize this knowledge when making hiring decisions and select TFWs over Canadians.”

Canadians have typically been called racist whenever they question the corporate uniparty mass immigration agenda.

Perversely that slander has come from what passes as the left, centre & right of the Canadian political spectrum, the Uniparty.

It’s deliberate.

It’s done  to criminalize us. To keep us off balance and fearful of organizing to defend our own best interests.

Corporate Canada and their political minions deliberately harmed your economic and social well being.

That’s why we have Hamas supporters parading in our streets.

That’s why you can’t afford to rent or to ever own a home.

That’s why you can’t afford food.

That’s why you can’t find a doctor and your loved ones die on waiting lists.

They have behaved heartlessly toward you. Return it in kind.

Sam Bankman-Fried will not face a second trial

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, who was found guilty of fraud by stealing from his customers, will not face a second trial.

Prosecutors told a US federal court that they do not intend to hold a second trial against Bankman-Fried as the evidence that would be presented during the second trial would be the same as already entered during the first one.

The 31-year-old billionaire’s sentencing is due in March and is likely to include orders of forfeiture and restitution for victims of his crimes.

If I read this correctly he will not face trial for the illegal campaign finance charges.
