Get Out, We’re Closed

There was a time when I was in favor of some streamlining of the legal immigration process. It seemed wildly unfair that it could take years and years to immigrate by the rules, especially when the applicant is working within the law and will bring something of value to the country – it will add to America’s greatness. Now, screw it. To hell with everyone trying to move here. Unless you’re coming with a small fortune and something truly extraordinary that will be a serious boost to the country and Americans, stay out. And everyone here illegally, get the hell out, we’re closed.

Trudeau asks for more time to really screw things up for good

Trudeau says people are frustrated, but now is time for ‘doubling down’

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he knows people are frustrated with him, especially the same young voters who helped propel his party to a majority government in 2015.

“Those young people eight years later are having trouble paying the rent, worried about their future in ways that are just as tangible, if not more, because of the global context we’re in,” Trudeau told Global News Ottawa bureau chief Mercedes Stephenson in a year-end interview.

“I didn’t make a promise that I was going to make things better for them and then walk away after four years or even after eight years. I said I’d be there to fight for them every single day.”

Only fools and grifters vote for Trudeau.

‘ZOMBIE’ deer disease …

Ho Ho Ho! Zombie Deer Disease? Ha Ha Ha! Wait WTF is up with your nose?

Scientists have warned that a virus dubbed ‘Zombie deer disease’ could potentially spread to humans after the first-ever case was detected in Yellowstone National Park last month.

The fatal brain virus, which leaves animals confused, drooling, and unafraid of humans may someday infect people, as cautioned by some authorities.

The alarm was raised after a deer carcass tested positive for chronic wasting disease (CWD) in Yellowstone National Park in northwest Wyoming in November.

Trudeau’s Christmas Gifts to Canadians: Unaffordable Housing, Inaccessible Health Care, Out-of-Control Immigration and Sagging Productivity

On Tuesday Statistics Canada reported that Canada’s population leapt by 430,635 people from July through September of this year, after previously reporting that our nation added 1,050,110 people in 2022. That was the largest such annual number ever recorded and the nation’s highest percentage growth rate since 1957. The ostensibly non-political federal agency proclaimed this result as “certainly cause for celebration.” Ninety-six percent of the growth came from international migration. People accepted as new permanent residents accounted for 437,000 of those immigrants, while 613,000 were classified as non-permanent. In November, the federal government announced plans to grant permanent residency to 465,000 this year, with a goal of half a million by 2025. Combined with a high rate of non-permanent arrivals – such as students and temporary foreign workers – this means Canada will continue to have by far the highest immigration rate of any G7 country.

Conrad Black: The Human Rights Commission’s moronic attack on Christmas

It is illustrative of the nonsense that now chronically afflicts our country and much of the Western world that the Canadian Human Rights Commission recently reported that statutory holidays for Christian celebrations, including Christmas, are “a form of discrimination” that is “deeply rooted in our identity as a settler colonialism state.” It is more accurate to say that the Human Rights Commission is a form of idiocy deeply rooted in our woke, politically correct foolishness.

Biden Convinced Netanyahu to Halt a Pre-Emptive Strike Against Hezbollah

WASHINGTON—President Biden urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to halt a pre-emptive strike against Hezbollah forces in Lebanon days after Hamas militants’ Oct. 7 assault on southern Israel, warning that such an attack could spark a wider regional war.

Israel had intelligence—which the U.S. deemed unreliable—that Hezbollah attackers were preparing to cross the border as part of a multipronged attack, pushing some of Israel’s more hawkish officials to the brink, officials said.

Israeli warplanes were in the air awaiting orders when Biden spoke to Netanyahu on Oct. 11 and told the Israeli prime minister to stand down and think through the consequences of such an action, according to people familiar with the call.

Legal Battles Over COVID Measures Continue in Canadian Courts

The pandemic may be over, but the legal battles over various government restrictions and mandates continue. A plethora of cases have made their way through the courts this year and will continue through 2024. In these cases, judges are deciding the limits of Canadians’ freedoms and government power.

One of the most prominent cases is the ongoing trial of Freedom Convoy organizers Tamara Lich and Chris Barber. Another is the so-called Ingram decision in Alberta, in which a judge ruled—on a technicality—that the province’s public health orders were invalid.

Golf cart sales surge as US families find unlikely alternative to second cars

Golf carts are becoming the second car of choice for families across the US, with the market anticipated to surge to more than $2 billion (£1.57 billion) within the next few years.

In retirement villages, residential communities, university campuses and small towns, it is becoming commonplace to see people driving themselves around in golf carts.

They’ve become so popular that Babcock Ranch in Florida, America’s first completely solar-powered town, has even enshrined golf carts into its design: Some of the houses have a second smaller garage, designed to fit a golf cart.

Sabrina Maddeaux: The Liberal response to Hamas thanking them couldn’t be more offensive

Justin Trudeau’s Liberals need to spend some time over the holidays thinking about the old saying, “show me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are.” Because when Hamas leadership releases a video publicly thanking you for your support, it should be a wakeup call that your actions and words are playing into the hands of a genocidal terrorist group with a single-minded mission to eradicate Jews.

Since the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel, Prime Minister Trudeau and many of his senior cabinet ministers have cynically attempted to “both sides” Canada’s response to a brutal massacre of innocents that Hamas vows will happen again and again.

Solar panel firm with Greta Thunberg ad sued over £1.5m house fire

Your carbon footprint was excessive so I initiated the remote arson feature.

A solar-power generating firm that uses Greta Thunberg to promote its products is being sued for more than £1.5 million damages over claims its panels led to a devastating house fire.

Mark and Sarah Evans are suing the award-winning firm Green Energy Electrical, which installed solar panels on their five-bedroom detached house in Essex.

The couple claim the catastrophic fire, which destroyed their home in April 2021, was caused either by a fault in one of the firm’s photovoltaic panels or a heating fault between a panel and electrical cables.

Gwyn Morgan: How will higher immigration fix our health care and housing crises?

… The government says we need all these immigrants to make up for a shortage of skilled workers. Permanent immigrants fall into four broad categories: economic (a.k.a., “skilled”), family reunification, refugees and protected persons, plus one more category listed as “humanitarian, compassionate and others.” Economic immigrants make up about 60 per cent of the total. But how many of these skilled immigrants are being added to the already massive number of government employees? The answer to that question is alarming.

A recent Fraser Institute study found that between February 2020 and June 2023 government-sector job growth dwarfed private-sector growth in all 10 provinces, with the number of government jobs increasing by 11.8 per cent, compared to just 3.3 per cent in the private sector. The number of government bureaucrats increased by a whopping 446,000 over that period.
