Forbes publishes new ‘hall of shame’ naming 10 people it regrets featuring on prized 30 under 30 list – with jailed FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried taking inevitable top spot

Forbes has published a new ‘Hall of Shame’ with 10 people it regrets featuring on its famous 30 Under 30 list in recent years.

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried was the first person named on the new list after he was found guilty of $10billion in crypto fraud on November 2. He was featured on the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2021.

Caroline Ellison, his ex-girlfriend and former co-CEO of FTX sister company Alameda, was also included in the Hall of Shame.

That’s quite a record.

Harm reduction gone rogue: I worked at a safe injection site and it was disturbing

‘I thought I would help people but instead found myself battling drug dealers, overdosing colleagues, neighbourhood theft and inept management’

I fought as best I could to keep drug dealers away from the supervised injection site I worked at, but it was a battle that came with a price. The threats could be terrifying.

One dealer I had kicked out of the facility came up to me outside and tried to pull my COVID mask off. He said he wanted to take a picture of me on his phone so his boss could come and wait for me after work.

Behind Pro-Hamas ‘Student’ Walkouts Lurk Manipulative Adults

According to the corporate media, hundreds of high schoolers are taking it upon themselves to walk out of school to protest Israel’s right to defend itself. In New York, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and more, the nation’s budding humanitarians are banding together with the hope of ushering in a new era of peace, the stories say. As is the case with so many stories surrounding Palestinian terrorism and Israel’s response, the prevailing narrative is wrong.

These walkouts are not the result of well-meaning teenagers choosing to take a stand. These protests are being conceived of and then planned and executed by radical left-wing groups using children as political props.

Pope Says Church Leaders Can Baptize Some ‘Transsexual’ Catholics, Allow Some LGBT Godparents

In a November letter to Brazilian Bishop José Negri, Pope Francis laid out rules for transgender and LGBT engagement in the Catholic church.

Bishop Negri had asked the pontiff several questions on how the church should respond to transgender and homosexual-identifying individuals.

Under the pope’s new clarifications of rules for the church, some “transsexual” Catholics are allowed to be baptized, become godparents to children, and act as witnesses at weddings.

Would replacing Trudeau help the Liberals? It’s probably unlikely

When Brian Mulroney announced his retirement from office in February 1993, his personal approval ratings were in the teens and his majority Progressive Conservative government had the support of less than 20 per cent of voters.

Mulroney would insist those numbers had nothing to do with this decision to leave but when he did, in the early summer of that year, the party’s fortunes under his successor Kim Campbell immediately began to improve and as the 1993 federal election got underway late that summer, the PCs started in a statistical tie with Jean’s Chrétien’s Liberals.

Sabrina Maddeaux: Meek Singh unwilling to stand up to Trudeau as he spits on parties’ pact

The federal NDP’s confidence-and-supply deal with the Liberals was always a dubious venture — propping up an exceptionally unpopular government for any length of time, let alone for over three years, typically doesn’t endear voters to one’s side.

While Jagmeet Singh’s NDP should be merrily capitalizing on the current economic environment with their eyes closed, the party is instead bleeding support from key demographics to Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives. Even a Liberal slump of epic proportions, particularly among younger voters, hasn’t been enough to breathe life into a party that increasingly resembles a paper straw disintegrating into a useless, soggy mess.

The West has gone mad – and evil

What is this evil acid that corrodes Western humanism, and where does it come from?

… And while in Canada – the country of Leonard Cohen, Saul Bellow and Mordechai Richler, one of the most peaceful and safe places in the world until a few years ago – Molotov cocktails are thrown against synagogues, stars of David and threatening letters are painted on Jewish homes. University of Alberta Samantha Pearson, the head of the campus’ sexual assault centre, signed an open letter denying that Hamas-led terrorists raped Israeli women during the devastating assault of October 7th.

TikTok made Gen Z pro-Palestine

I’m a student in one of Britain’s largest high schools and know no one who supports Israel over Palestine. Some readers might find that shocking. Consider, though, how my generation gets its news. TikTok is today by far the preferred source of news for teenagers; YouTube is next, Instagram third. Studies show the average teen spends two hours every day glued to their screens. Few my age buy or read a newspaper, or would ever think of doing so. Even the idea of sitting down to watch TV news seems alien to us. We view the world through smartphones; we understand current affairs through video snippets.

RCMP admits ‘mistakes were made’ with Cameron Ortis

When the FBI swooped in and arrested Canadian businessman Vincent Ramos in 2018, it was supposed to be a good-news story for the RCMP.

The Phantom Secure CEO’s ability to sell encrypted phones to criminals had been a lingering source of embarrassment for Canadian law enforcement on the world stage.

But any joy in the moment quickly drained away when former RCMP staff sergeant Guy Belley logged on to Ramos’s computer and found confidential RCMP documents.

European Voters, in a Shift Rightward, Are Turning Against Unchecked Immigration From Africa and the Mid-East

After 25 years in the political wilderness, Dutch anti-immigration politician Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party doubled its vote and came in first in Holland’s parliamentary elections. In Ireland, a man of Algerian origin allegedly stabbed three school children in central Dublin. Hundreds of young people rioted, chanting “get them out” with one man waving a sign: “Irish Lives Matter.” Thursday, Finland closes all eight of its eastern border crossings, accusing Russia of sending this month 1,000 undocumented migrants, largely from Africa and the Middle East.
