Who Rules the World?

Thirteen powerful families allegedly determine our collective destiny

Many years ago a friend of mine insisted we go to a bookstore so I could purchase a copy of a book that had her howling with laughter. The title of the book itself suggests the source of her amusement, “Nothing in this book is true, but it’s exactly how things are.” Published in 1994, the book is an audacious farrago into everything from massive alien intervention to pop metaphysics. One of the book’s premises, if one is to assign that much coherence to it, is that not one, but dozens of extraterrestrial races currently intervene in the affairs of humanity. It is now a cult classic.

Neo-Nazis, white nationalists go on pilgrimage to Galicia Waffen-SS memorial

Neo-Nazis and white nationalists have gone on a pilgrimage to an Ontario memorial to the Waffen SS Galicia division, the Ukrainian Nazi-led unit, after one of its veterans received a standing ovation in Parliament last month, prompting renewed calls for the monument to be torn down.

White nationalists have posted photographs of themselves on social media at the memorial, alongside tributes to Yaroslav Hunka, whom they call “a hero.” One man, whose face is obscured, is wearing a T-shirt featuring the black sun – a neo-Nazi symbol based on a mosaic at the German castle used by Heinrich Himmler, head of the SS.

Nolte: Disney’s Woke ‘Little Mermaid’ Bigger Bomb Than Previously Reported

The Disney Grooming Syndicate lost even more money on its woke Little Mermaid remake than had been reported.

Previous budget reports said the movie cost $250 million to produce. The actual budget, per this report at Forbes, was $300 million, which does not include promotion costs.

The only reason we know the truth is because Disney wanted tax credits from the United Kingdom, where much of the movie was filmed, and the UK doesn’t put up with bookkeeping shenanigans the way we do here in America.

Sabrina Maddeaux: Manitoba PCs offer case study in how not to run an election campaign

It’s somewhat comforting that, in the age of big data and laser-focused analytics, political campaigns can still go so disastrously haywire. The quest to govern is still influenced by ungovernable human factors from charisma, to hubris, to reading the room so poorly one might as well be in the wrong house. Manitoba’s Progressive Conservatives have provided the latest example of a campaign that was driven terribly (and avoidably) off course by poor judgment and a fundamental inability to connect with voters.

Liberals and Conservatives say there’s a worrying shift in some Canadians’ feelings about the war in Ukraine

OTTAWA — Justin Trudeau’s Liberals are beginning to nervously watch for signs of a breakdown in the cross-partisan Canadian consensus on support for Ukraine, but hoping it will hold amid shifting American and international rhetoric.

Both Liberals and Conservatives tell the Star they are starting to see a shift in online discourse in Canada about the war. Some report a rising number of emails coming into their offices that question the $9 billion in spending Canada has pledged since 2022 to help Ukraine fight Russia’s invasion.

At one point Freeland attempted to link support for the near universally hated carbon tax with support for Ukraine. Stupid move.

Trudeau ‘looking carefully’ at releasing names of ex-Nazis in Canada

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Wednesday senior bureaucrats are reviewing the Deschenes Commission report — a 1980s-era independent inquiry that looked at alleged Nazi war criminals in Canada — with an eye to making more of it public.

Struck by former prime minister Brian Mulroney, the Deschenes Commission’s final report was released in 1986 and is composed of two parts.

The first, which included recommendations to make it easier to extradite war criminals, was released publicly. The second was marked secret and the names of alleged Nazis in Canada were never released.

Biden Iran envoy key member of Iranian government spy ring/influence operation

Well, this explains a lot.

The Obama and now Biden Iran policies have never made much sense to me.

Iran is the avowed enemy of our allies and partners in the Middle East region, but for some reason, the Obama and Biden Administrations have spent enormous efforts appeasing Iran at the same time that they have been increasingly hostile to countries that have allied themselves with us.

Riot Fatigue

After enduring another looting frenzy, Philadelphia residents wonder whether mass thuggery is just a fact of life in the city.

“Here we go again—it’s a Philly Thing” was the message on Philadelphia social media, especially Facebook, where posters reported that the city was once again under siege.
Scattered first reports mentioned a caravan of looters moving from one neighborhood to another: Center City, West Philadelphia, Port Richmond, and then on to the Roosevelt Mall in Northeast Philadelphia. The marauders managed to pillage 18 state-run liquor stores, causing the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to close all 48 of its Philadelphia retail outlets. In Center City, plunderers ransacked the Apple store, Footlocker, and Lululemon. Some wore Halloween masks as they grabbed merchandise and were cheered on by Philadelphia Instagram celebrity Dayjia Blackwell, 21, known as “Meatball,” who told her 200,000 followers: “We outside. This is what happens when we get no justice in our city. We terrorize this city!”

An event featuring Meghan Murphy and other women speaking on gender identity and women’s rights has been preemptively cancelled by the Cowichan Community Centre, citing the BC Human Rights Code.

On Oct. 2, Ms. Murphy posted the letter cancelling the event—Inclusivity, Gender Identity, and Women’s Rights—which was scheduled to take place on Oct. 4. The letter was written by the Cowichan Community Centre Division’s administrative and facility booking coordinator Maaike McCooey and said the event would be cancelled.

Lawsuit Seeks To Untangle Links Between Biden Administration and Southern Poverty Law Center’s Listing on Moms for Liberty

Did the Biden administration coordinate with the Southern Poverty Law Center to designate Moms for Liberty an “extremist” group, and what kinds of communications have the FBI, the Department of Justice, and other federal agencies had about the parental rights group?

Those questions are central to a lawsuit filed last week by the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project against a host of agencies in the Biden administration for their failure to comply with Freedom of Information Act requests regarding Moms for Liberty, its co-founders, and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Wyoming Ranchers Accused Of Bleaching Penis Shapes Onto Neighbor’s Cows

Accused of bleaching images of male genitalia and other markings onto their neighbor’s cows, a Crook County father and son are now facing felony-level property destruction charges.

Two criminal complaints filed last month in the Sundance Circuit Court allege that Patrick Sean Carroll, who is 66 this year, and his son Tucker Kye Carroll, who is 34 this year, funneled 189 heifers and six bulls into a chute and bleach-dyed them to get a neighbor’s attention after three years of having the cattle cross onto their land.

Defence cost-cutting jeopardizing Canada’s armed forces

In last year’s budget, the federal Liberals promised to “carry out a swift defence policy review to equip Canada for a world that has become more dangerous.”

Apparently, in its “swift” review, the Trudeau government discovered the world was less dangerous, not more. How else to explain this week’s news the Liberals have ordered our armed forces to cut nearly $1 billion from its overall budget?
