“Debate Me, Jenny!”

For years, San Francisco deli owner and community advocate Adam Mesnick has been demanding a public debate with Jennifer Friedenbach, executive director of the Coalition on Homelessness. Mesnick’s home and business are located in the city’s beleaguered South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood, and he runs an X account, @bettersoma, to call attention to the city’s humanitarian crisis and document the encampments and sickness, blight and criminal activity, garbage and human waste—and most importantly, the thousands of deaths, overwhelmingly due to drug overdose.

Justin Trudeau’s Self-Immolation

The Canadian prime minister has alienated the largest democracy on Earth and played host to a former Nazi. And that was just this week.

OTTAWA — In the span of five days, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau has managed to alienate the government of the largest democracy on Earth; anger key allies from Washington, D.C. to Canberra; and outrage Jews around the world.

Now, the promise of Trudeau—the young, strapping progressive born into political royalty, with his ostensibly forward-looking ideas about medically assisted suicide, puberty blockers, and the suspension of truckers’ civil liberties—is on the brink of imploding.

Ex-RCMP intelligence official accused of leaking had Leak ‘authority to do everything he did’

Lawyers for Cameron Ortis, the former RCMP intelligence director accused of leaking top-secret information, are expected to argue that their client had “authority to do everything he did” when his long-awaited trial gets underway next week.

Ortis, who was the head of the RCMP’s national intelligence co-ordination centre at the time of his arrest, is going to trial on six charges, including four counts of violating the Security of Information Act.

I get the feeling he will beat the charges because conviction would likely expose the incompetence of higher ups.

Hunka said in essay that he enlisted in Nazi unit to protect homeland

Since he was celebrated in Parliament, kicking off a political firestorm in Ottawa and outrage around the world, the public has heard nothing from Yaroslav Hunka, the 98-year-old who served in a Nazi unit during the Second World War.

But a dozen years ago, Mr. Hunka wrote an essay about his time in the Waffen-SS Galicia Division for an American online magazine focused on Ukrainian war veterans – a piece that provides some insight into what he says were his reasons for enlisting.

Behind the Orange Shirt

Phyllis Webstad’s The Orange Shirt Story, published in 2018, is in school libraries across Canada. The cover depicts young Phyllis in an orange shirt confronted by two black-habited Catholic nuns, one with scissors in her hand, the other clutching a rosary behind her back. Inside the book, illustrations show four black-habited nuns greeting her outside the school, a nun removing her orange shirt, a nun cutting her hair, and a nun hovering over her while she prays at bedtime. The text states that the nuns made her shower, took her orange shirt away, gave her other clothes to wear, and cut her hair short.

American Despotism: The Great Upheaval Over Race Begins

The great upheaval over race in America began in the 1950s and accelerated dramatically in the 1960s.

In many ways, the bridges that started being built in that era are crashing down around us. Today, we have the Black Lives Matter movement (which has supported widespread destruction across America and grifted many millions of people for misspent donations). Anti-white racism fuels most of the current cultural left. Educational efforts such as the 1619 Project seek to rewrite American history so that slavery and the African American experience are the central themes. There is a growing contempt for police (especially white officers) and acceptance of crime. All of these make up part of the hardcore anti-Americanism emerging as the central value of the left.

Investigators Subpoena Bank Records Of Hunter, James Biden After Uncovering $20 Million In Foreign Payments

House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer followed through on his pledge to “continue to follow the money” on Thursday when he issued three subpoenas for the bank records of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and brother, James “Jim” Biden.

The latest round of subpoenas is part of House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into the president and, according to Comer, will “help the Committees determine whether Joe Biden abused his office by selling access and/or by receiving payments or other benefits in exchange for official acts.”

The slow and delicate aircraft taking on spy missions

Most military spying is conducted from satellites hundreds of miles above the Earth’s surface.

But there’s a new entrant in the old game of keeping an eye on your strategic opponents, and this new spy is surprisingly sluggish.

Phasa-35 moves so slowly it can appear to be going backwards.

This weird, elongated British aircraft is powered by small electric engines attached to elongated wings encasing solar panels. These capture power during the day and keep the two engines turning at night.

Danger to Western Lives Takes Off, Thanks to the Biden Administration

The Iranian regime has lately been collecting hostages: Topher Richwhite and Bridget Thackwray from New Zealand, detained in July 2022, Johan Floderus, a European diplomat from Sweden detained in April 2022, and Bernard Phelan from France detained in October 2022.

This escalation in hostage-taking of Europeans by Iran’s regime should not come as a surprise: the Belgian government last year proposed and ratified legislation that paved the way to transfer terrorists who have been convicted abroad back to Iran. The so-called treaty between the Belgian government and the Iranian regime was designed to secure the release of Iranian diplomat-terrorist Assadollah Assadi.

Sam Bankman-Fried warned by judge he may face ‘very long sentence’ if convicted

Sam Bankman-Fried, the indicted founder of now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX, may face a “very long sentence” if convicted at his fraud trial starting next week, the judge overseeing the case said Thursday.

US District Judge Lewis Kaplan’s comments came just before he denied the 31-year-old former billionaire’s request to be released from jail temporarily during the trial to better help his lawyers mount his defense case. Kaplan said Bankman-Fried was a flight risk.

Freeland’s Budget Speech Viewed as ‘Self-Congratulatory’: Federal Research

In-house research by the federal government found that some participants in an online focus group thought the budget speech delivered by Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland was “self-congratulatory.”

The study was conducted by market research firm Leger on behalf of the Department of Finance, to gauge public opinion on the Mar. 28 budget speech, as first covered by Blacklock’s Reporter. The findings were released on Mar. 31.

You’ll find your self nodding in agreement.
