How a web of Canadian doctors are undermining the fight against COVID-19

Seemingly baffled, Ontario Superior Court Justice Edward Morgan didn’t quite know what to say when told only one of the four defendants for a hearing showed up.

It was a landmark hearing for Ontario. Four doctors — Rochagne Kilian, Mary O’Connor, Mark Trozzi and Patrick Phillips — had been scheduled to appear to fight legal proceedings brought by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) late last year.

Trozzi, O’Connor and Kilian have been accused by the CPSO of failing to comply with investigations into allegations they issued false medical exemptions for the COVID-19 vaccine. Phillips, the CPSO says, is threatening to re-release a tranche of confidential documents on Twitter.

Ontario reported over 4,100 COVID-19 hospitalizations today as Premier Doug Ford says residents can expect “positive news” this week about loosening current pandemic restrictions.

There are a record 4,183 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the province, up from 3,887 yesterday and 3,220 a week ago.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says 53.5 per cent were admitted to the hospital for COVID-19 and 46.5 per cent were admitted for other reasons but have tested positive.

Inside a busy intensive care unit in Toronto’s east end, Dr. Martin Betts often sees patients grappling with a double diagnosis: a serious health issue coupled with — or caused by — COVID-19.

As chief of critical care for the Scarborough Health Network, Betts has treated several patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, a build-up of acids in the blood that’s a life-threatening complication of diabetes, which can be triggered by viral infections.

Other people have been admitted for heart inflammation, heart attacks and even cardiac arrest caused by a SARS-CoV-2 infection — yet COVID-19 is often listed as a secondary diagnosis, a situation Betts describes as “misleading.”

Known Wolf: MI5 investigated Texas synagogue hostage-taker in 2020

The British man who took hostages at a Texas synagogue had been under investigation by MI5 as a possible Islamist terrorist threat as recently as 2020, Whitehall sources have acknowledged.

British intelligence closed the investigation, however, after officers had concluded Malik Faisal Akram from Blackburn posed no threat, and as a result he was able to travel freely to the US and purchase a gun.

That scene at the Union Pacific rail depot is all about wokesterism, not the weird things the press is cooking up

The terror in Texas confirms that British Islamism has become a global menace.

So, Britain is now exporting anti-Semitism. Not content with harassing and abusing the Jewish community here in the UK, our racists are now taking their Jew-hatred overseas. It transpires that the man who held Jews hostage for 11 hours in the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, Texas was a British national of Pakistani heritage named Malik Faisal Akram. He was from Blackburn. Two teenagers have now been arrested in Manchester in connection with this racist act of terror. Trekking from Blackburn to Texas to terrorise Jews – that’s some serious commitment to racial hatred right there.

New Evidence for the Ferguson Effect

Recent studies support a long-standing theory connecting police protests and rising violent crime.

In 2015 and 2016, the coincidence of a major surge in homicides following mass protests over the police killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, prompted a heated debate about whether the demonstrations, and the anti-police hostility they engendered, helped cause the murder spike. Law enforcement leaders and some public commentators—including City Journal contributing editor Heather Mac Donald—identified a “Ferguson Effect,” whereby public scrutiny reduced police proactivity and led to an increase in violent crime. Supporters of the protests just as fervently derided the idea as imaginary and “debunked.”

Social scientists made a few contributions to this debate, but the research they produced offered limited insight into the causal relationship between scrutiny, proactivity, and crime.

As far back as 2013, Pakistani Muslim terrorists had plotted to take “foreign Jews” hostage to trade for ‘Lady Al Qaeda’. In 2022, a Pakistani Muslim terrorist actually went out and did it.

The hostage crisis at Congregation Beth Israel, a Reform Temple in Texas, ended with Faisal Akram of Blackburn, another post-industrial English town where Muslims make up a third of the population and Pakistanis account for over 10 percent, dead, and his Jewish hostages set free.

Politicians and the press have ignored the evolution of Islamism

It’s been a while since Isis staged a major attack on the West. Occasionally the group’s degraded propaganda organs will try and claim one, but even that is less common nowadays. Still, just because Isis central isn’t orchestrating mass murder in Europe, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t still people killing in the name of jihad — if anything, the Islamist terror threat is still claiming many more lives and much more frequently than we realise.

Conspiracy projection has split apart the country. The Left has fought efforts to learn the full truth, as they project conspiracies to disguise conspirators.

American politics over the last half decade has become immersed in a series of conspiracy charges leveled by Democrats against their opponents that, in fact, are happening because of them and through them. The consequences of these conspiracies becoming reality and reality revealing itself as conspiracy have been costly to American prestige, honor, and security. As we move away from denouncing realists as conspiracists, and self-pronounced “realists” are revealed as the true conspirators, let’s review a few of the more damaging of these events.

Some people move away from utopian thinking after being “mugged by reality.” The latest evidence of this can be seen in leftists belatedly embracing the right of self-defense amid spiking violent crime rates and a dipping police presence.

But for some truly committed ideologues, even experiencing a literal armed robbery fundamentally changes nothing. Instead, it reinforces their fantasies of “common sense” gun control that would counterintuitively stop criminals and (supposedly) make us all safer.

Burger King worker, 16, is shot dead in botched drive-thru robbery that ‘SHE staged with her co-worker best friend and girl’s father as the robber’

A teenager who was working the drive-thru at a Milwaukee Burger King when she was shot and killed in an apparent robbery may have staged the incident with her best friend and her best friend’s father who acted as the robber, court documents allege.

Niesha Harris-Brazell, 16, was working a shift with her best friend, Mariah Edwards, on January 2, when she was found fatally shot inside the fast-food joint.

Just a few minutes prior, surveillance footage caught a man in a red hoodie and a facemask waving a pistol around and demanding money as Harris-Brazell frantically took money out of the cash register and cried for help.
