Brother of Afghan translator who worked for US is sentenced to death for helping the ‘infidel crusaders’

The brother of an Afghan translator who worked for American forces during the war is being sentenced to death for helping provide security to his brother in yet another sign that the Taliban’s new ‘moderate’ façade has already crumbled.

News of the letter emerges as Vice President Kamala Harris announced that now was not the time to analyze the withdrawal of the Biden administration from the war-torn country, but instead to focus on evacuation.

CNN confirmed the translator, who has not been named, worked with the US Army, and that his brother, also unnamed, had been sentenced to death.

Extremist groups ‘actively recruiting’ military and police, Canadian intelligence report warns

Must be the “far-right” burning down the churches.

Far-right extremist groups are “actively recruiting” past and present members of the military and police, according to a declassified Canadian intelligence report obtained by Global News.

The report cited 17 examples in Canada, the U.S., U.K., Germany and New Zealand which “illustrate the intersections and relationships between ideologically motivated violent extremism and uniformed personnel.”

Six of the cases involved members of the Canadian military or reserves.

I have come to the conclusion that “far right extremists” is the trigger word for increased funding from the Liberal government.

Afghanistan: US decision to withdraw lays bare a not so special relationship with the UK

… America acted unilaterally over Afghanistan – actually maybe that should be Joe Biden acted unilaterally. The administration was not much interested in what the UK thought. Mr Biden, from what I have been told, was not much interested in the red flags being raised by his intel community and military top brass, or by the warnings delivered from London. He wanted out. The warnings of HM Government – and my understanding is they were made strenuously – fell on deaf, indifferent ears in Washington.

In those circumstances – and let me depersonalise this – what is a British prime minister to do? If the 800lb gorilla is going to leave the room, what is the much smaller primate meant to do? The idea that the British armed forces could have swarmed in to fill the vacuum left by a US withdrawal is unrealistic.

On the plus side, the debate promises to be far more interesting. When it comes to Vietnam, partisans debate rules of engagement, bombing strategies, funding levels, and the Tet Offensive. With Afghanistan, the question could be: did gender studies cause America to suffer its most humiliating defeat ever? Cockburn wishes he was joking.

Sort Of is a new series created by and starring Bilal Baig, the first queer (trans-feminine) South Asian and Muslim in Canada to be cast in the lead role of a primetime TV series.

Not that further proof was needed but the CBC hates you. This is their purpose – the creation of propaganda, its goal is to humiliate you.

Taliban spokesman rejects foreign troops extension

The Taliban say they will not extend the deadline for Western forces to leave Afghanistan.

In one fell swoop, the administration left billions of dollars of military equipment in the hands of the barbarous anti-American Taliban; broke the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance by bugging out without warning to its members who were in Afghanistan in support of our mission there; left as many as 50,000 Americans and tens of thousands more of our Afghan allies to the not so tender mercies of the enemy; and on Friday Biden lied about it all.
