Suspected terrorists crossing border ‘at a level we have never seen before,’ outgoing Border Patrol chief says

Unprecedented numbers of known or suspected terrorists have crossed the southern border in recent months, the outgoing Border Patrol chief said.

The head of the Border Patrol, Rodney Scott, told his 19,000 agents before retiring on Aug. 14 that their national security mission is paramount right now despite the Biden administration’s focus on migrant families and children who are coming across the United States-Mexico boundary at record rates.

This Is All Your Fault, Joe

You have sold out American lives and honor.

It is not so much that you are a bad president; you are more like a danger to the West. Everything you touch, you set ablaze. You remind me of me when I’m asked to help out in the kitchen. And, of course, you’re oblivious. It stands to reason that someone who can’t remember what flavor ice cream he just had should also be the only person in the world who was unaware that the Taliban would do exactly what they are doing. For the Left, it seems hard to believe that Islamists have this strange habit of doing wildly Islamist things whenever they get the chance.

MALCOLM: Let’s talk about who could be harmed by domestic vax passports

Vaccine passports are all the rage these days. As Sun editor and columnist Anthony Furey put it, there is a “current urgent, manic energy around domestic vax passports.”

Quebec was the first to take the plunge, announcing last week that it would ban all non-vaccinated people from “non-essential public spaces” – including bars, restaurants, gyms and festivals – as of Sept. 1.

This is worse than Saigon

America’s humiliation in Afghanistan confirms that the woke West is utterly incapable of standing up for itself.

Everyone is saying it’s like Saigon in 1975. Helicopters evacuating an American embassy. Chaotic, distressing scenes at the local airport as American allies, or just plain fearful people, desperately try to flee the country. American officials convincing absolutely nobody with their unhinged claims that the ‘mission has been successful’ (in Anthony Blinken’s words). It’s clear for all to see, commentators insist: Kabul in 2021 is a replay of Saigon in 1975. America humiliated, its enemies ascendant.

Yet here’s the brutal truth: what is happening right now is worse than Saigon.

Taliban parade two men through streets with blackened faces and nooses around necks

Sickening images show two men being paraded through an Afghanistan street with their faces tarred black — and being pulled by nooses around their necks.

“Taliban accused these men of theft, their faces were colored with black color — to embarrass them,” tweeted Bilal Sarwary, one of Afghanistan’s leading journalists, who said he was sent the images late last week.

China, the WHO and the power grab that fuelled a pandemic

In early 2020, the world missed its chance to stop Covid-19. Insight exposes how Beijing’s ten-year takeover of the global health watchdog sowed the seeds of disaster

After being heavily criticised by the World Health Organisation for its response to Sars in 2003, China decided it would not accept such public humiliation again. What followed was a concerted campaign over many years to seize power within the organisation.

A Sunday Times investigation raises serious concerns that the independence and leadership of the WHO were severely compromised by the time the first cases of a mysterious new coronavirus appeared in Wuhan in 2019 — with profound consequences for the course of the Covid-19 pandemic and the world.

Are We in a Revolution and Don’t Even Know It?

Institutions are being absorbed not just by the woke apparat, but by an array of ideologies that seeks to destroy them.

The collective madness that ensued from the pandemic, the quarantine, the self-induced recession, the George Floyd killing and subsequent months of exempted riots, the election year, and the resurgence of variants of the Chinese-engineered coronavirus, all ignited the fuse of formerly inert socialist dynamite. And the ensuing explosion of revolutionary fervor in just a few months has made America almost unrecognizable.

Islamic Religious Authority Anjem Choudary is using encrypted phone app Telegram – favoured by ISIS terrorists – to spread poison online

Hate preacher Anjem Choudary is secretly posting vile messages to his followers on an encrypted smartphone app favoured by Islamic State terrorists, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The extremist imam, who called the 9/11 hijackers ‘magnificent martyrs’ and radicalised the killers of soldier Lee Rigby, is sending messages on the Telegram app after he was banned by Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp for violating hate-speech rules.

Choudary told his Telegram followers last week that Britain is a ‘police state’ and preached that Muslims are having their freedoms taken away ‘under the guise of counter-terrorism’.

China’s Xenophobic Plan to Shut Out the World

On August 11, the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Committee and the central government’s State Council issued what the official Xinhua News Agency called “an outline on promoting the building of a rule of law government from 2021 to 2025, on the basis of the successful implementation of a previous 5-year plan.”

The Chinese party-state’s announcement included a promise to enact a series of laws on, among other things, national security, tech innovation, monopolies, education, health and quarantines, food and drugs, and foreigners.

“The announcement,” Reuters stated, “signals that a crackdown on industry with regard to privacy, data management, antitrust, and other issues will persist on through the year.”

Trump Has a Question for Joe Biden

Nap time.

He may no longer be on Twitter, but Donald Trump is having his say about Joe Biden’s latest epic failure, Afghanistan.

“First Joe Biden surrendered to COVID and it has come roaring back. Then he surrendered to the Taliban, who has quickly overtaken Afghanistan and destroyed confidence in American power and influence,” Trump said in a statement.

Who are the Taliban and how will they govern Afghanistan this time?

After their lightning conquest, there is little to indicate the group will moderate their strict Islamic beliefs

Who are the Taliban?

The Taliban were born out of the mujahideen fighters who opposed the Russians during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, which began in 1979. Founded by Mullah Mohammad Omar, a local imam in Kandahar, in 1994, they were initially formed of a small group of madrassa students who were angry at the depredations of the warlords in the civil war that followed the Soviet withdrawal in 1989. Their influence rapidly spread over the following two years.

‘The Taliban will ban all art’: An Afghan female filmmaker’s plea

“If the Taliban take over they will ban all art. I and other filmmakers could be next on their hit list,” Sahraa Karimi writes in an open appeal that was sent to global media organizations on August 13 and circulated on social media as the Taliban took control of major cities in Afghanistan and encircled the country’s capital, Kabul.

The filmmaker is also documenting the situation on social media and has since posted on Facebook and Instagram different videos showing her fleeing to the Kabul airport, joining crowds of other Afghans as they scramble to reach the capital’s last remaining exit.
