Illegal alien from Mali awaiting deportation stabs 3 women on Paris Metro

French police on Friday arrested a man suspected of stabbing three women in the Paris metro as the capital’s end-of-year festivities were in full swing, prosecutors told AFP.

The three victims were attacked at three different locations along the Line 3 metro track that runs across central Paris, the RATP authority that runs the transit service told AFP.

From Fdesouche – According to our information, this Malian national, residing illegally in France, was imprisoned in January 2024 for aggravated robbery and sexual assault after receiving a criminal conviction. Released in July 2025, “given his immigration status ,” he was issued a deportation order ( OQTF ) and placed in an administrative detention center (CRA). “As his removal could not be completed within the legal timeframe of ninety days, due to the lack of a consular laissez-passer and the absence of a valid identity document, he was released under house arrest,” the Ministry of the Interior told Le Figaro . He was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Mali is 95% Muslim.

Adam Zivo: B.C. winds down practice of sending addicts home with free drugs

British Columbia recently mandated that, starting from the end of this month, most “safer supply” drugs must be consumed under medical supervision in an effort to keep them from being diverted to the black market. While this reform is laudable and will help keep dangerous opioids off Canadian streets, it is reprehensible that the province dragged its feet for years here.

The Nazi legion stopping one historian from returning home

In the final months of the Second World War, as his unit retreated in the face of Allied advances with barely a shot fired, Karl Hoffmann, the German linguist and SS officer, developed a ritual.

Once a day, he would put on breezy swing records from the 1920s and dictate magazine articles in bad Urdu while caressing the hair of his typist, a fervently Nazi corporal from Hamburg.

Such was life in the “Tiger” legion, a chaotic and largely ornamental body of roughly 3,000 soldiers from British-ruled India who had mostly been captured in the North Africa campaign and recruited to the Wehrmacht.

Speed-eating cats and skateboarding dogs replace children in overworked Asia

The countdown is on: within 90 seconds, the cats must race through as much of the agility course as they can, clearing perspex holes and scaling scratching posts to claim their spots on the podium.

Only a few of the felines seem fazed. As their owners desperately try every encouraging tactic in the book – feathers, treats, clapping – most of the cats remain blissfully uncooperative.

Amy Hamm: U.K. puberty blocker trial asks children to consider freezing eggs, sperm

Imagine asking a child as young as 10 to consider whether they want to freeze their sperm or eggs in order to one day have babies, should they become infertile. It sounds patently insane.

However, that’s what researchers with the U.K.’s NHS will do to children who identify as transgender and who are approved to participate in a new puberty-blocking drug trial — the only legal way for minors to take these drugs in the U.K.

The Best Classic Movies And T.V. To Watch With Your Family This Post-Christmas Week

Binge-watching is a habit that’s usually good to avoid, especially when watching on your own. However, during the week after Christmas and before New Year’s — in which so many families find themselves sandwiched between big gatherings or parties and maybe even forgetting what day it is — spending a little extra time together in front of the silver screen with popcorn and in pajamas is to be expected, and can even prove restful.
