Faucism at the Vatican: It holds a “health” conference for the culture-of-death crowd.

Pope Francis is often cast as an “outsider,” even as his Vatican increasingly serves as a salon for the most insular of insiders. This week the Vatican held an online conference for the global elite entitled “Exploring the Mind, Body & Soul. How Innovation and Novel Delivery Systems Improve Human Health.” The event attracted a who’s who of prominent progressives, many of whom are anti-Catholic secularists. Speakers included Chelsea Clinton, Jane Goodall, the Aerosmith rock star Joe Perry, and, of course, Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Chinese dreams on Native American land: A tale of cannabis boom and bust

… It astonished Redfeather that on a reservation where new development is tightly controlled by tribal bureaucracy, a large-scale farming operation was going up across the street without her even hearing about it. The Navajo Nation was also struggling with a severe coronavirus outbreak, one of the worst in the country, and movement on and off the reservation was supposed to be tightly controlled.

She decided to record what was going on on her phone.

“They’re like, ‘What are you doing here?'” she recalls. “These are non-Natives. So of course, I fired back saying, ‘What are you doing here? You guys aren’t allowed here.'”

Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi says some recent rallies billed as opposing the wearing of masks during the pandemic are really just “thinly veiled white nationalist” and “anti-government” activities.

In an interview with The West Block guest host Abigail Bimman, Nenshi expressed his frustration with the fact that people refusing to wear masks and gathering in large crowds are endangering others.

Homeless Camps Are Taking Over the West Coast

Democrat cities have allowed hundreds of homeless encampments to pop up along the West Coast.

Homelessness isn’t new to places like San Francisco, L.A., Seattle, Sacramento, and so on. I was in Portland 12 years ago for a comedy gig. The park in front of the club looked like a scene from Michael Jackson’s Thriller video. Today it looks like the Walking Dead.

A sexual misconduct crisis has spiralled on Harjit Sajjan’s watch. Can he survive as Canada’s defence minister?

OTTAWA—Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan has gone from bad-ass to bad asset.

A former Vancouver police detective, Canadian army reservist and military liaison officer to the Afghan police, Sajjan was a star political recruit for the Liberals in 2014. A real warrior who’d done three tours in Afghanistan, he instantly upped the Liberal party’s defence credentials.

Sajjan cut a striking figure posing in combat gear, wraparound sunglasses and a desert-sand-coloured turban. After Justin Trudeau’s win in 2015, he was the “bad-ass” soldier, an instant internet meme, picked to lead the Canadian Forces whose job it is to serve Canadian interests at home and abroad.

Washington: American space agency NASA on Sunday slammed China for failing to meet “responsible standards” regarding its space debris, hours after remnants of the country’s largest and an out of control rocket disintegrated over the Indian Ocean near the Maldives.

The debris from China’s Long March 5B rocket re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere at 10.24 am Beijing time and fell into an open sea area at 72.47 degrees east longitude and 2.65 degrees north latitude, China’s Manned Space Engineering Office said.

FUREY: While Americans embrace reopenings, Canadians remain unjustifiably afraid

A friend of mine got to the point he’d just had enough of Ontario. The other week he and his wife packed up the car and drove with the kids to the United States. They were able to get across because one of them is a dual national.

Now, mere days after moving into their new place, their kid is already in school and the family was joyously partying it up at an outdoor Cinco de Mayo celebration.
