Michael Taube: No, Pierre Poilievre’s leadership isn’t in trouble

Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre has had a difficult couple weeks. His only Nova Scotia-based MP, Chris d’Entremont, crossed the floor to the Liberals on Nov. 4. Alberta MP Matt Jeneroux then announced on Nov. 6 that he’ll be resigning his seat next spring.

Both decisions were obviously unfortunate. No political leader would ever willingly want to go through these types of political headaches. This was especially true when last week’s focus should have been squarely on a federal Liberal budget touting a much-higher-than-expected deficit of $78.3 billion.

Ten Per Cent of CSIS Terror Investigations Involve Teens, Canadian Spy Boss Warns

OTTAWA — In his first speech as Canada’s new intelligence chief, CSIS Director Dan Rogers said the agency observed “foreign interference activity of concern” during the 2025 federal election — though not at a level that altered Canada’s ability to hold a “free and fair” vote — warning that the country now faces escalating national-security threats shaped by violent extremism, criminal–state hybrid networks, and transnational repression from China, India, and Iran, which, in extreme cases, involves “threats to safety and life.”

Addressing espionage and attempts to recruit Canadians, the new CSIS director singled out China prominently.

Sorry, Ladies, Radical Politicians Such As Mamdani Are No Substitute For A Husband

Young women love Zohran Mamdani in part because they don’t have husbands to love. The doting devotion young women have traditionally bestowed upon their spouses and families has been redirected.

As marriage rates have declined among young people, their love and attention have been diverted to social causes. Young women are more passionate than ever about abortion, so-called social justice, and other Democrat pet projects. With the election of Zohran Mamdani to be mayor of New York City, their leftism now has a face and a name.

Muslim man yells ‘Allahu Akbar’ and pummels random women, but police insist there’s no ‘religious’ or ‘political’ motive

Like Decarlos Brown Jr. reportedly saying “I got that white girl” just after he stabbed Iryna Zarutska to death completely out of nowhere definitely not being a crime borne of racial hatred or an anti-white attitude but a “mental illness” problem, so are the actions of a Syrian migrant who apparently yelled “Allahu Akbar” as he attacked and beat four random people on the streets of Dresden, Germany.

Europe’s Spiritual Battle: The Bataclan Massacre 10 Years Later

A decade has passed since the night of November 13, 2015—the night when the heart of Paris was pierced by a wave of coordinated terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of 130 people. Among the bloodiest of these was the massacre at the Bataclan concert hall, where 90 concertgoers were gunned down in cold blood.

A single photograph from that night has stayed with me over the years. It was taken just minutes before the attack began—an image of joy and abandon. The crowd is ecstatic. Arms are raised. Smiles are everywhere. The atmosphere is electric with freedom, pleasure, and anticipation. The American rock band Eagles of Death Metal is on stage, and the audience, caught in the height of their performance, appears to embody everything modern Western nightlife claims to be: liberated, exuberant, carefree.

The Guardian has a very thoughtful pictorial – France commemorates victims of Paris attacks 10 years on – in pictures

Though it would appear Europe has lost its spiritual battle… This is Satanic

With Carney’s budget prioritizing the business elite, could this be Canada’s Mamdani moment?

Although you may not have noticed, last week’s federal budget did away with the luxury tax on yachts and private jets.

It had been more of an annoyance than a serious tax on the superrich.

Still, at a time of staggering wealth accumulation at the top and a persistent affordability crisis below, it seemed like an odd decision, and one that suggests how badly Canadians were conned by Mark Carney.

A lot of Elbow People would go for this.

BBC Newsnight is also accused of doctoring Donald Trump speech: Edited clip of Capital Hill address aired two years before Panorama and bosses ‘ignored concerns’

The BBC has been accused of doctoring footage of a Donald Trump speech on Newsnight two years before a similarly edited clip was shown on Panorama.

Footage of a speech given by the US President on January 6, 2021, was edited in a way that appeared to show him inciting his followers to storm the Capitol building in Washington DC.

It was shown in an episode of Newsnight in June 2022, more than two years before a similarly spliced clip was aired in a BBC Panorama documentary.

Women Are Wonderful, Men Can Be Useful

Chris Williamson: “It’s very hard to try and put forward something that doesn’t sound like putting the brakes on women. And I don’t think that’s what either of us …”

Here is the problem in a nutshell. We must never say No to a woman, no matter the social atrophy and misery she and her sisters are causing. Carlson, in turn, gives the only permissible response: “Are women happier than they were?”

A conversation about men’s lives quickly becomes a conversation about what women want.

GOLDSTEIN: Canada’s doctor shortage no accident, it was government policy

Millions of Canadians don’t have a family doctor — and it’s not by accident.

Canada’s ongoing doctor shortage was the direct result of government policy decisions made decades ago. In the early 1990s, provincial governments deliberately reduced medical school enrolment and capped residencies, setting the stage for the health-care crisis Canadians face today.

Judges outraged after ‘ruthless’ murderer invited to speak at Ontario judge conference

A convicted murderer who killed a Crown witness recently spoke at a conference of provincial court judges following an invitation that has sparked outrage within the judiciary, the Star has learned.

Cosmo Jacobson was convicted by a jury in 2005 of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the execution-style 2001 shooting of security guard Roy Jones near his home in Ajax. Jones had been scheduled to testify against Jacobson as the key prosecution witness in a home invasion case; he was ambushed as he returned from work.

One of em likely released him on bail to begin with.

Confronting Anti-Ellis Island Immigration

Ellis Island built a nation through law and order; Biden’s border chaos dismantled it with lawlessness, division, and the greatest illegal influx in U.S. history.

Between 1892 and 1954, approximately 12 million immigrants arrived at the now-iconic Ellis Island to enter the U.S.—or nearly 200,000 legal entries per year.

All were registered, documented, and given rudimentary health exams.

They arrived as rich and poor, white and non-white, and, without exception, legally.

With the gradual decline of such great influxes, Ellis Island finally ceased operating roughly 71 years ago.
