On Sunday night, far-left activists (including an SPLC attorney) stormed the site of an Atlanta Police Department training facility and fired off fireworks and Molotov cocktails in the latest attempt by the so-called “Stop Cop City” movement to physically attack and threaten law enforcement. But on the Monday morning flagship morning shows, CBS Mornings couldn’t be bothered with zero seconds during their actual newscast.
An attorney with the Southern Poverty Law Center is among the 23 protesters who have been charged with domestic terrorism after they allegedly hurled Molotov cocktails and fireworks at a future Atlanta police training facility, cops said Monday.
Thomas Webb Jurgens, 28, was one of the nearly two dozen people detained on Sunday in what police have described as a “coordinated attack” on the still-under-construction Atlanta Public Safety Training Center — dubbed “Cop City.”
Jurgens is a staff attorney with SPLC — the left-leaning, anti-hate group, according to the State Bar of Georgia and his since-deleted LinkedIn page.
Protesters hurled bricks and Molotov cocktails at cops and set vehicles on fire Sunday at the site of a future police training facility in Atlanta, officials said critics have dubbed “Cop City.”
The $90 million Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, dubbed “Cop City,” was taken under siege by a group of vandals “using the cover of a peaceful protest” in what Atlanta Police called “a coordinated attack.”

The city pays $3.65 million to the victims of the ‘summer of love.’
Residents and businesses were victims of the riots that broke out in 2020 after George Floyd’s murder. On Friday Seattle settled for $3.65 million with locals who sued after the police abandoned the city’s East Precinct to mayhem.
The notorious Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, really an urban anarchy zone, operated from June 8 to July 1, 2020. Then-Mayor Jenny Durkan called it a “summer of love,” and last week the Seattle Times still insisted it was “mostly peaceful.” Yet the occupiers declared a no-cop zone, and Seattle restored control only after two murders and multiple shootings.

If you’ve missed the news out of Atlanta recently, over the past few months, Antifa-aligned activists have occupied the site of a former prison farm where the city plans on building a public training facility.
Authorities have arrested over a dozen of these Antifa goons and charged them with domestic terrorism. The group — largely from out of town and overloaded with young white people from privileged backgrounds — has camped out on the land under the pretense that it’s some sort of forest that needs protection.
The Atlanta insurrection is the Münster rebellion all over again, and it ought to be dealt with similarly.
Let me state at the outset that my faith in Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, who seems like the ultimate Good Time Charlie of American politics, to do what is necessary to successfully deal with what’s happening in Atlanta is … limited.
Prosecutors say Caleb Freestone and Amber Smith-Stewart spray-painted threats of violence on three facilities in the Miami area between May 28 and July 3, 2022. Their graffiti made reference to “Jane’s Revenge,” an anonymous group that has taken credit for dozens of firebombings and other attacks on pro-life facilities in the wake of the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
They present themselves as rebels against the system, fighting to preserve a piece of local woodland.

Police allegedly witnessed Jared ‘Riley’ Dowell spray painting ‘All Cops Are Bastards’ and ‘NO COP CITY’ on a Parkman Bandstand Monument on the eastern side of the Boston Common on Saturday around 9.30pm.
Clark, who is the House Minority Whip, addressed Dowell’s contentious arrest calling it a ‘difficult time.’ Dowell is non-binary.
An angry crowd took to the streets of Atlanta Saturday night, smashing windows and torching a police car in response to the death of a 26-year-old protester Wednesday, reports said.
Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum told reporters that multiple protesters were found with explosive devices on them. One of the devices was used to set an Atlanta Police car on fire.
Protesters — who hit the streets after calls for a “Night of Rage” by Antifa members — were also seen throwing bricks at Atlanta Police Department vehicles smashing property, 11Alive reported.

Antifa accounts on social media have been calling for a day of violence in response to police shooting and killing someone associated with the ongoing occupation of a forest near Atlanta, Georgia that has been selected to be the site of a police academy. An officer was also shot during the shootout on Wednesday.
