Criminologist Says Canada Should Better Track Foreign Student Departures

A Canadian criminologist who once worked on inland immigration enforcement for the Canada Border Services Agency said Canada needs to better track foreign nationals who arrive in the country on student visas.

Kelly Sundberg, a professor at Mount Royal University, said he was not shocked to hear that Indian law enforcement agencies are investigating links between Canadian colleges and a scheme to ferry international students across the Canada-U. S. border.

“I’m not surprised that our ridiculous honour-based immigration program is being gamed by transnational criminals. That doesn’t surprise me at all,” Sundberg said.

No commitment from Trump team to drop tariff threat after meeting with Joly, LeBlanc in Florida

Two of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s top cabinet ministers met Friday with two of U.S. president-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet picks in an attempt to stave off the looming prospect of tariffs on Canadian exports.

Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly and Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc flew to Florida to brief the presidential transition team on the government’s plan for improving border security and to make the case that Trump’s threat of steep tariffs on all Canadian exports to the U.S. would damage both countries’ economies.

Is the Trudeau government Canada’s biggest national security threat? An expert weighs the evidence

Canada’s national security faces such major challenges, that its state of “crisis” is alarming and enraging.

“In December 2024 we find ourselves in a far worse situation across all areas of national security than we did in 2015,” said emergency response expert and retired Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Lt.-Col. David Redman.

Could heightened external and internal threats result from not only Liberal government incompetence — but also by design?

Redman thinks so.

Terry Newman: No Boxing Day joy for you, say anti-Israel mall protesters

Yesterday, as shoppers were returning unwanted presents, revelling in Boxing Day sales and enjoying the Christmas tree light show at the Toronto Eaton Centre, a group of anti-Israel protesters disrupted the joyful experience by harassing bargain-hunters and unfurling a large banner with a crude likeness of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with the words “arrest this criminal” emblazoned in red. Like the twisted image of Netanyahu, and the chants that filled the mall, nothing these protesters say or do is to be trusted.

We’ve lost our national identity – and with it, our pride in our country

In his 1997 book National Dreams: Myth, Memory and Canadian History, which explores the roots, foundations and part-truths that form the basis of Canadian identity, historian Daniel Francis wrote that civic ideology in a country like Canada must be a deliberate product: something that needs to be “continually recreated and reinforced.” Canadians rely on this social construct more than other people, Mr. Francis argued, “because we lack a common religion, language, or ethnicity, because we are spread out so sparsely across such a huge piece of real estate.” It is not, as Mr. Francis wrote, something “we come by naturally.”

Surely that is even more true now than it was more than 25 years ago.

The Canadians Who Say: ‘Trump, Take My Country—Please!’

OTTAWA—Every day, just before sunset, 33-year-old Ryan Hemsley heads to Clover Point, a scenic stretch along the southern coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada’s westernmost province. When the weather is clear, he can look across the Strait of Juan de Fuca and see the Olympic Mountains in Washington State.

“Subconsciously, there’s something that keeps bringing me here every day,” Hemsley told me. Watching the Seattle ferry return to the U.S., his thoughts drift to an unlikely fantasy.

“How can I be a stowaway so I can be an American?” he said.

You lost me at Multiculturalism and Diversity ….

Aviva Klompas: Jew hatred is not just a Jewish problem. It’s a Canadian problem

…This global surge in Jew-hatred is inexcusable everywhere, but its prevalence in Canada is particularly shameful. Canada was the first nation to adopt multiculturalism as an official policy in 1971, later enshrining it in law through the Canadian Multiculturalism Act of 1988. Canadians pride themselves on being champions of diversity and tolerance, yet today, what they are tolerating is violence and bigotry.

Most damningly, they have failed to recognize that Jew-hatred is not just a Jewish problem — it is a Canadian problem.

Canadians have a lot of problems. Many caused by Multiculturalism, Diversity & Tolerance.

The Liberal government declared war on its own people by actively demonizing Canadians who objected to mass immigration and the one way street of “Tolerance.”

Canadian values and heritage have been denigrated and White Canadians openly discriminated against in hiring.

The situation is so perverse, so evil that school children are labeled oppressors and racists because they have “White skin” under the NAZI like DEI programs our governments condone.

Imported Fifth Columns comprised of incompatible cultures have brought us increased violence and crime, a lowered standard of living, homelessness, unemployment, an affordability crisis, foreign conflicts fought out in our streets along with baked in antisemitism and Christianophobia. That’s how multiculturalism, diversity and tolerance have benefited Canadians.

We are treated as unwanted guests in our own home. For better than 20 years we were cowed by the threat of cancelation to the point we would not defend ourselves.

No one came to our aid, no one said “Hey maybe we shouldn’t label White people racist just for having white skin” or “You know what legalized discrimination against Whites in hiring is wrong.”

And why would our replacements help us when the scam was working so well to their benefit?

People in general are fed up at those governments that have allowed the protests to continue since that fateful Oct 7 but I do not have the sense that the Israeli-Muslim conflict is a topic of water cooler conversation any longer.

Most of the antisemitism in Canada emanates from our elites in academia and government bolstered by the Islamists they imported and not from average Canadians. The success our elites enjoyed demonizing White people was easily transferred to Jews when it came time to strike a blow for Gaza which no doubt came as a shock to their fellow travelers in the diaspora.

We can vote and yes Trudeau and his party should burn in hell but I see no savior on our horizon.

Canada has been poisoned & the culture changed for the worse. Justin’s replacements have no shared history with Canada, no appreciation of Western culture and no motivation to assimilate. I doubt Jews and the holocaust are even on their radar.

We are on the outside looking in. I doubt Canadians are much inclined to rally in the streets when no one could be bothered to rally for them.

An appeal to our alleged national belief in the magic powers of Multiculturalism, Diversity & Tolerance is nothing more than condescending out of touch virtue signaling.

Raised in Sask. after his family fled Hungary, this man spent decades spying on communists for the RCMP

As a Communist Party member in Calgary in the early 1940s, Frank Hadesbeck performed clerical work at the party office, printed leaflets and sold books.

But he also had tasks his party comrades could know nothing about: snooping on mail, copying phone numbers from scratch pads and rummaging through waste baskets.

Hadesbeck, known to his RCMP handlers as agent 810, would pass along any information he could glean to the national police force.

If these events were current Trudeau would have him arrested and his bank accounts frozen.
