‘Details and arrests’ surrounding $22-million gold heist at Pearson airport revealed Wednesday

Police will announce Wednesday morning that arrests have been made in connection with a massive $22-million gold heist at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

The improbable caper happened exactly one year ago Wednesday — on April 17, 2023 — and involved the theft of a “high-value container” from a holding cargo facility after it was taken off an Air Canada plane.

Federal budget will include tax hike for wealthy Canadians, sources say

Freeland Budget Shoes

Tuesday’s federal budget will include a tax increase on the richest Canadians, sources tell Radio-Canada.

It’s not clear exactly what form the tax measure will take but senior Liberal sources have told Radio-Canada that it will affect less than 1 per cent of Canadians.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his ministers have been on a countrywide tour in recent weeks to make a series of pre-budget announcement.

Lecce tells Peel District School Board to drop Nakba politics … However DEI/CRT inspired anti-White “social justice” programs will remain A-OK

Stephen Lecce has a message for the Peel District School Board: Stop with the divisive politics.

Ontario’s education minister has reached out to officials at the Peel board to tell them to reverse course on including Nakba Day on school calendars of days to commemorate.

Your kid will still find lots of support if they want to add or remove a dick.

I am happy they slapped down the Nakba nonsense but why then does it remain open season on White kids?

Calgary: Muslim who joined ISIS seeks to have terrorism charges stayed

CALGARY – The lawyer for a Calgary man accused of committing terrorism offences over a decade ago argues charges should be stayed because of court delays.

Jamal Borhot, 34, faces three terrorism charges stemming from alleged activity in Syria in 2013 and 2014.

The charges were laid in September 2020, but the case has languished in the courts ever since.

Rising antisemitism in Canada sparks call for second national summit

OTTAWA — Rising antisemitism in Canada since the Oct. 7 Israel terror attacks has triggered a call to convene a second national antisemitism summit.

That call came via an open letter signed by 200 politicians, community and spiritual leaders, along with a motion that will be tabled in the Senate later this week.

Marvin Rotrand, a retired politician and interim director-general of United Against Hate Canada, said during Monday morning’s press conference that while a lot of good came out of Canada’s 2021 antisemitism summit, more needs to be done.

After reading this article I can’t shake the notion that those calling for this summit are hopelessly out of touch with the true nature of Islam.

They seem to think they can reason with the people who joyously slaughtered men, women and children Oct 7.

Don’t misunderstand me, I know they are well meaning and I wish them well. But this will not accomplish a thing.

It appears the Jewish community no longer has the support they used to.

Canada has been balkanized by mass immigration and the newcomers have their own tribal conflicts to keep them busy.

‘Why not do it together?’: Lifelong friends take part in ‘brosectomy’ in Vancouver

While many people choose to keep their medical appointments private, four longtime friends decided to undergo vasectomies as a group in B.C.’s Lower Mainland.

“We all had to do it so we said, why not do it together?” said Craig Tatham, a dad from Maple Ridge.

Who owns the rampant antisemitism poisoning Canada today?

The new normal has mobs of Muslims clogging our streets along with their useful idiot liberal-left allies.

They scream and holler about Israel’s destruction while declaring they aren’t in the least antisemitic.

So how did we get here? Did a Muslim horde magically materialize out of thin air?

Turns out it wasn’t magic at all just very bad immigration policy.

Canada has nearly 2 million Muslim settlers resident primarily in urban centres.

The GTA now has the the largest Muslim diaspora in North America making up 10% of the region’s total population.

Most arrived via immigration or as refugees and of course Canada’s generous chain migration policy.

In the decade following 9/11 Liberal and Conservative governments doubled Canada’s Muslim population from 500K to 1 Million.

Plainly evident is that little or no thought was given to the compatibility of Islam with Canadian society by those we naively entrusted to formulate responsible immigration policy.

Our “betters” in Ottawa want bodies to meet immigration goals and win over ethnic vote blocs and they simply don’t care where those bodies came from.

I wish I had evidence that swamping Canada with incompatible cultures was an actual conspiracy but it likely boils down to the arrogance of our entitled political class who claim to know what’s best for we horrid anti-immigrant proles.

One thing is certain Islam does not do integration.

CHARLEBOIS: Budget blues and our food future

Last week was pivotal for economic indicators. The Bank of Canada has opted to maintain its benchmark interest rate steady, while recent data revealed that inflation in the U.S. is accelerating again.

The U.S. economy appears robust, which sharply contrasts with Canada, where there is an anticipatory hope for a “soft landing”—a scenario that includes avoiding recession while achieving full employment. However, the economic data from Canada indicate significant headwinds in productivity and wealth creation.

Canada must sanction Benjamin Netanyahu and his war cabinet … say usual Star types

The murder earlier this month by the Israeli military of Jacob Flickinger, a Canadian volunteer serving with the World Central Kitchen, the Canadian nationals trapped and at risk of being killed every day in Gaza, and families of Canadians approved for temporary resident visas but barred by Israel from exiting Gaza, all paint a stark reality of how close the unfolding genocide in Gaza is to Canadians.

The consequences extend to aid workers affiliated with Canadian charities — many of whom have been killed — as life-saving humanitarian aid, funded by Canadians, languishes at border crossings, denied entry by Israeli authorities.

Israel calls on Canada to list Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps as terrorist group

Too late. Justin has already committed.

Israel’s ambassador to Canada is calling on Ottawa to list the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization, as the world grapples with the fallout of Iran’s aerial attack on Israel on Saturday.

In an interview Sunday on Rosemary Barton Live, Iddo Moed said there was no further evidence needed to justify the designation and that the move should be the first in a broader international response.

“The first initial step would be to designate the [IRGC] as a terrorist organization. That needs to happen now, it has to happen today,” Moed told CBC chief political correspondent Rosemary Barton.

Michael Kempa: Justin Trudeau’s well-rehearsed testimony reassures no one

Canada Goes All In for 1984

Punishment for thoughtcrimes is the new normal in Canada.

Americans may wish to look up north to see how the latest attacks on free thought and expression are proceeding. In Canada, governments, universities, and self-regulating organizations regularly attack the core civil rights that have long allowed individuals in English-speaking democracies to flourish and innovate: the right to think and to speak.
