Trudeau Did This: Cheap foreign labour soars in Canada as young workers are left jobless

(Bloomberg) — It’s getting harder for young Canadians to find a job. A post-pandemic influx of cheap foreign workers in restaurants and retail stores may be making it tougher.

Michelle Eze started actively searching for work around Toronto in October, just as the youth unemployment rate in Canada began to surge. The 22-year-old public-policy graduate sought out teaching and restaurant service jobs to help pay the bills and support her parents, but struck out.

“I was struggling. I was searching on Indeed, looking everywhere, asking friends and like — nothing,” she said. “That was really demoralizing because I had the determination but I was seeing no results.”

Trudeau rigged the temporary workers program costing Canadians jobs at fair wages

Fraud in the temporary worker program isn’t the problem. The rules that rig the labour market are

Unemployment has been steadily rising for more than a year, as the Bank of Canada’s anti-inflation campaign weighs down the private sector.

Younger workers and recent permanent immigrants have been particularly hard hit. According to the June Labour Force Survey from Statistics Canada, the unemployment rate for both groups has climbed well into double digits.

Meanwhile, the federal government is busy approving record numbers of permits under the low-wage stream of the temporary foreign worker program from companies claiming that they are unable to find Canadians to fill vacancies.

Bastards.

‘A new kind of slavery’: Skyrocketing use of temporary foreign workers in restaurants and fast food chains has advocates concerned

David Rodriguez says he was abruptly fired from his job after standing up to his abusive employer less than two months after arriving in Toronto from Mexico in 2022 to work as a cook.

The 39-year-old was one of several temporary foreign workers employed at a downtown restaurant, enduring harsh working conditions that he says included aggressive behaviour from the owner and unpaid overtime.

When Rodriguez raised his concerns, his boss fired him on the spot, he says, leaving him unable to find new work, as his status in the country was tied exclusively to his employer.

There is no labour shortage in Canada, there is a surplus of wannabe slave owners eager to abuse the temporary foreign workers program for profit.

Don’t for a minute think that Canada’s business class is above the practice of modern day slavery, they love importing indentured servants.

The latest scam is an active discussion of the need to implement a six day work week as Greece hopes to do.

Trudeau’s Canada: Homeless Torontonians are dying younger than the general population — and it’s getting worse

Losing the roof over your head could reduce your lifespan by 17 years.

That’s the takeaway from a new study published Friday, which warns that the gap between life expectancies for housed versus homeless Torontonians has only been growing, and is especially pronounced for younger generations.

It’s a gap that persists even after accounting for the outsized toll of substance use and other mental health-related challenges within the city’s homeless population, said researcher Lucie Richard with Unity Health’s MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions.

Proles will no longer fear us! Trudeau’s plan to cut temporary immigration means we can’t depress wages & profit from shortages says Corporate Welfare Class

Trudeau’s plan to reduce temporary immigration risks economic harm: business groups

Canada’s independent business advocate says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s plan to reduce temporary immigration risks dire economic consequences, underscoring the pressures the government is facing as it tries to slow population growth.

Don’t know what they’re on about. Trudeau will do squat.

They were supposed to decrease the intake of phony foreign students yet somehow we’re on track to exceed 2023’s numbers.

I hope Poilievre is listening. Corporate carpetbaggers should not be in charge of immigration policy.

FINLAYSON: Corporate head offices are fleeing Canada

Canada is losing corporate head offices.

Between 2012 and 2022, one-in-20 head offices closed or merged with other companies, according to Statistics Canada data, which tracks the number of large and mid-sized Canadian-based companies over time. Head office employment has also dwindled, dropping by around 6% since 2012.

The LPC’s lunatics are often in cahoots with our corporate welfare loons.

Federal government announces crackdown on temporary foreign worker program misuse

Canadian Employment Minister Randy Boissonnault announced Tuesday that the government is cracking down on Canada’s temporary foreign worker program in a bid to curb fraud.

The temporary foreign worker (TFW) program has ballooned over the years, with much higher use by non-agricultural sectors, such as fast food restaurants and health care providers. With the increased use, there have been mounting allegations that the program is being misused by some employers.

Kill a fallacy to save immigration

… Above all, it’s time to discard the misguided notion that the purpose of immigration is to fill labour shortages and build a bigger work force. That idea has been promoted by Canada’s business associations and adopted by the Liberal government.

More immigration doesn’t necessarily reduce labour shortages. A bigger labour force won’t necessarily make Canada richer. But a better labour force will.

Canada is run by greedy stupid people. It is entirely possible that the continued mass import of incompatible cultures will result in our own UK style anti-immigration riots.

Clinging to Power, Canada Style

There is a very real fear and presentiment across the land that the country is disintegrating, Many Canadians now feel, whether implicitly or overtly, that Canada is on the cusp, teetering on the verge of collapse and dissolution. The National Post reports that “A majority of Canadians looking at the country they see around them say everything seems to be broken. Concerned about rising costs, the state of health care, affordable housing, jobs and more, half of us are also angry about the way Canada is being run.” Similarly, an Ipsos poll found that 7 in 10 Canadians agree that “Canada is broken.” As Lee Harding writes in the Western Standard, our rulers “in our own capital city [are] full of self-aggrandizement, handing out contracts to their friends, serving foreign interests, burying us in public debt, and laying heavy taxes on people.” Sounds like it could be the U.S. under Biden and Harris.

Majority of Canadians agree immigrants not doing enough to assimilate

Muslim cultists pray to their idol in a Toronto street

Canadians are divided over the country’s record-high immigration quotas, with more than half saying new residents are failing to assimilate, according to new federal data.

“Half of Canadians, 51 percent, agree immigrants need to do more to integrate into Canadian society,” said in-house research by the department of immigration. “Just under half of Canadians, 46 percent, agree Canada should focus on helping unemployed Canadians rather than looking for skilled immigrants to fill labour shortages.”

Siavash Shekarian: Canada’s immigration system seems to be in peril

It’s no secret that Canada’s immigration system is broken. From selection to integration, every aspect seems to be in peril. Yet, while headlines abound about Canada’s population trap, productivity emergency, housing crisis, and the mass exodus of talent leaving our country, discussions about the root causes and solutions remain notably scarce.

Canada’s immigration policy is anti-Canadian.

As Trudeau botches immigration, poll shows falling support

The Trudeau Liberals have broken Canada immigration system and with it, public support for that system.

And now we have the numbers to back that up thanks to a poll by Leger for the Association of Canadian Studies.

According to Leger’s findings, 60% of Canadians now believe we have too many immigrants coming into Canada.

I believe Trudeau and his corporate cronies consider Canada’s immigration system to be working as planned.

No one could be this incompetent, suppressed wages, profitable shortages and ethnic votes galore are the goal.

The destruction of Canadian society by mass immigration is deliberate and working to plan.

The rich world revolts against sky-high immigration

Immigrants are increasingly unwelcome. Over half of Americans favour “deporting all immigrants living in the us illegally back to their home country”, up from a third in 2016. Just 10% of Australians favour more immigration, a sharp fall from a few years ago. Sir Keir Starmer, Britain’s new centre-left prime minister, wants Britain to be “less reliant on migration by training more uk workers”. Anthony Albanese, Australia’s slightly longer-serving centre-left prime minister, recently said his country’s migration system “wasn’t working properly” and wants to cut net migration in half. And that is before you get to Donald Trump, who pledges mass deportations if he wins America’s presidential election—an example populist parties across Europe hope to follow.

We do not require masses of immigrants to open up an unsettled land nor are we in the midst of an “Industrial revolution” and there are no more continental railways to be built.

Mass immigration serves only to line the pockets of the greed driven corporate class and earn the good will of ethnic vote blocs for our slimy politicos.

Our elites care nothing for you and your family they are destroying Canada for their own vile ends.

Sixty per cent of Canadians say Canada is admitting too many immigrants: poll
