One of the best episodes was the Cape Fear homage, in which an FBI agent tries to change Homer’s last name to Thompson.

The infighting within the Liberal Party is spilling out into the public just as the party released a new attack ad claiming they will look after your family. If they can’t look after their own family affairs, why should we believe they can look after the rest of us?

National finances under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have tanked, and many residents likely don’t know just how broke they are.
Canadians now pay around $75 million per day in interest on the national debt.
A formal petition to dissolve Parliament was submitted last week by Conservative MP Michelle Ferreri.
The petition, filed by the Peterborough—Kawartha representative, outlines multiple grievances against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government, including a deepening cost-of-living crisis and federal debt servicing charges exceeding $40 billion annually. According to the document, current debt levels surpass the combined debt of all previous Canadian governments.

Justin Trudeau is the captain of a battered old tub caught in a tsunami. There’s a hole in the hull, the water’s rising, half the vessel is beneath the surface and there’s an ominous sound suggesting it’s about to break in two. The lifeboats are out and the crew is fleeing.
Justin Trudeau is no feminist, and needs to stop insulting Canadian women by claiming that he is one.
The man’s record — both his behaviour and words — diametrically oppose such a claim. Yet, given any opportunity, he will proudly wax on about his alleged dedication to the rights and well-being of the fairer sex.

Chrystia Freeland, now a member of the Liberal backbench, is the pick of several of her backbench peers to succeed Justin Trudeau as leader and as prime minister of Canada.
But her popularity is not universal, some MPs have told Global News.

Longtime Trudeau loyalist Chandra Arya says it’s time for the prime minister to step aside — and he believes the majority of Liberals in caucus feel the same way.
“There is no alternative but to have the leadership change now,” the Ontario MP for Nepean told CBC chief political correspondent Rosemary Barton Sunday.
He was responding to a question about what was discussed at a virtual meeting of the Ontario Liberal caucus on Saturday morning.
At this point he’s just being a prick.

Canada in crisis: Gov’t to convene national forum after Jewish school shooting, synagogue arson
The National Forum on Combating Antisemitism, according to Canada’s Justice Department, to be held in Ottawa in February, is set to bring together political, federal, provincial, and municipal bodies along with law enforcement and prosecutorial leaders to discuss short and long-term actions to address antisemitism in the country.
“Canada has seen a troubling rise in antisemitic incidents, threats, and hate crimes. The Government of Canada recognizes the urgent need for national leadership to ensure Jewish Canadians feel safe in their synagogues, schools, and communities,” the Justice Department said in a press release.
The forum will not have far to look for answers, a glance around the room should do the trick.
Canada’s elite, not ordinary Canadians are the source of the nation’s current antisemitism. The elites poisoned the politics, universities, unions, public institutions and school systems with CRT/ DEI’s toxic hatred of White people as the world’s apex oppressors.
The elites were so successful at making anti-White hatred acceptable it is legal to discriminate against whites in hiring in Canada.
It was an easy pivot to turn their guns on Jews, Zionism and Israel and label them as members of the “white supremacist” “colonialist” project as well.
Our elites were also responsible for abusing the immigration system inviting Islamists and other incompatible cultures to settle in Canada in an effort to undermine our society’s heritage and values.
It is absurd to suggest a Liberal government complicit in Islamist hate is in any way concerned about the antisemitism it created.
Votes matter.

Justin Trudeau, abandoned by allies, besieged on all sides, is still, as of this writing, both the leader of the Liberal Party and the prime minister of Canada. But when pundits and political insiders gather in the smoky backrooms (ed note: do vapes emit smoke?) of Ottawa and Toronto this Christmas season they will all be asking each other one question: Who is going to take his job?
In the long term, the answer is still likely Pierre Poilievre, the Conservative leader who holds a commanding lead in national polls. But if Trudeau does step down, a Liberal will have to take his place, at least temporarily.

Watching Prime Minister Justin Trudeau handle the budget is kind of like driving with that buddy who can’t keep his eyes on the road, talks with his hands and knows the autobody shop guy by name.
It’s terrifying.
The Trudeau government repeatedly promised to keep the 2023 deficit within its fiscal guardrail “at or below $40.1 billion.”

A Liberal MP who has called on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to resign says the “vast majority” of caucus colleagues he’s spoken to feel the same way.
Trudeau’s leadership has been on shaky ground for months, but it became more unstable Monday after his longtime ally Chrystia Freeland resigned from cabinet, throwing the government into chaos.

Who do you think the next Liberal leader will most emulate — Pierre Trudeau, Paul Martin or Kim Campbell?
Assuming the suddenly invisible Justin Trudeau uses his Christmas break to shelter in place and finally decides to step down, do you think the Liberal who replaces him as party head will (a) revive the party and win it a majority? (b) save at least a minority or (c) suffer an electoral thumping of record proportions?

The Prime Minister has no immediate plans to step down over the Christmas holidays despite mounting calls for him to quit, and Chrystia Freeland is considering a leadership bid that is being spurred on by Liberals who believe she is a strong contender should Justin Trudeau resign.
A Liberal insider said the Prime Minister continues to reflect on whether to stay or leave and will spend Christmas in Ottawa and then take a skiing vacation with his family in British Columbia.
