Polling On The Freedom Convoy Does Not Reflect Reality

Both during the time the Freedom Convoy was parked around downtown Ottawa and after police raided the protest zone, polling companies have been pushing out hastily made polls about the event. The polls the companies put out are supposedly gauging what Canadians thought about the Freedom Convoy, but these polls seem oddly disconnected from reality.

TERRAZZANO: Politicians, bureaucrats shielded from pain they cause

There are now 305,200 more government jobs across Canada than there were pre-pandemic

Politicians and government decision-makers are financially divorced from the Canadians they’re supposed to represent — and it shows.

… Federal Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland claims Canada has “more than recovered lost jobs” during the pandemic. But whose jobs have been recovered?

There are now 305,200 more government jobs across Canada than there were pre-pandemic, but 272,800 fewer jobs outside of government.

Then there’s the three-decades-high inflation.

This is why Ottawa was freaked out by the Truckers. Our predator class public servants came face to face with the peons they rob and it scared them.

“Canada does not want to see itself this way”

The New York Times reported last weekend that police in Ottawa had arrested protesters at gunpoint, a claim that was quickly challenged and denounced by prominent Canadian journalists.

“This is wrong,” tweeted freelance reporter Justin Ling, who had been covering the police action from Ottawa. CBC News TV host Ginella Massa called the Times headline “false and incredibly dangerous rhetoric” and CBC radio host Piya Chattopadhyay asked “where are you getting this bs from?”.

The Neoliberal War on Dissent in the West

Those who most flamboyantly proclaim that they are fighting fascists continue to embrace and wield the defining weapons of despotism.

When it comes to distant and adversarial countries, we are taught to recognize tyranny through the use of telltale tactics of repression. Dissent from orthodoxies is censored. Protests against the state are outlawed. Dissenters are harshly punished with no due process. Long prison terms are doled out for political transgressions rather than crimes of violence. Journalists are treated as criminals and spies. Opposition to the policies of political leaders are recast as crimes against the state.

Threats to press during convoy protests a wake-up call, experts say

In a video from Ottawa, a broadcaster stares at the camera in silence as protesters surround him and scream expletives, calling him a liar and bellowing “freedom.”

Near the U.S. border in Surrey, B.C., a cameraman’s equipment is shoved off his shoulder and two men spit on him. A demonstrator follows another journalist closely, yelling that he is a “disgusting, filthy human being,” while police escort the reporter through a jeering crowd.

Experts and advocates say the treatment of journalists, captured in many cases on video, during recent protests against public health measures should be a wake-up call.

Threats of violence and general feelings of ill-will toward the media? I wonder why?

“We would of course line up all kinds of people to write op-eds saying that what she was doing is proper” Katie Telford

Canada’s government paid media is the mouthpiece of the Trudeau regime.

Their job is to support the ruling permanent political class by providing propaganda on demand like trained seals.

Conservative senator MacDonald derides Ottawa residents in video

A Conservative senator from Nova Scotia was seen on a video deriding the response of people who live in Ottawa to recent protests, saying he’s sick of their entitlement and “six-figure salaries and 20-hour work weeks.”

In the video recorded near Parliament Hill, Sen. Michael MacDonald expressed support for the protesters who occupied Ottawa for more than three weeks.

Increased police presence in downtown Ottawa after convoy protesters warned to leave

Boy does this sound familiar: Winnipeg General Strike 1919. The Citizens’ Committee of 1,000 quickly formed to organize opposition to the strike. It included Winnipeg’s most influential business leaders and politicians. This committee did not seriously consider the strikers’ demands. It called the strike a revolutionary plot led by a small group of “alien scum.” Winnipeg’s leading newspapers took this view, too. In reality, there was little evidence that the strike was started by Bolsheviks and immigrants from eastern Europe. But the Citizens’ Committee used these unproven charges to block any efforts to appease workers.

New fencing has been erected on the Parliament Hill side of Wellington Street, right next to where ‘Freedom Convoy’ demonstrators have been camped out for three weeks.

It’s the latest sign that police action to break up the downtown Ottawa occupation could be imminent. On Wednesday, police handed out notices to demonstrators warning them to leave the area or face arrest.

Groups of Ottawa police officers could be seen arriving downtown Thursday morning in the vicinity of the protest red zone.

Squad member Ilhan Omar rebukes Trudeauscu regime media for doxxing Ottawa cafe owner who donated to Freedom Convoy on GiveSendGo

Ilhan and fellow traveler Justin are usually on the same page on most issues.

Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar has come out defending an Ottawa shop owner who made a donation to the Freedom Convoy in Canada.

Omar said journalists should not be reporting and publicizing the names of people who made ‘insignificant’ donations.

Omar tweeted in response to a newspaper editor from the Ottawa Citizen who had shared a report about Stella Luna Gelato Cafe in Ottawa, which was forced to close down after receiving continual threats.

Justin Trudeau’s Politics Are Anything But Liberal And Here Is Why

Traditional Liberalism is a political philosophy based on individual rights, consent of the people, and equality before the law. Liberal values support individual rights, democracy, secularism, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, and a market economy.

Police will soon establish ‘no-go’ zones in Ottawa’s downtown core, minister says

Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino sought to assure Ottawa residents Tuesday that the chaos in their city will soon end as local law enforcement, bolstered by the RCMP, works around the clock to restore order.

Empowered by the federal government’s move to invoke the Emergencies Act, police will soon establish “no-go” zones in the city’s downtown core to control unruly crowds associated with the anti-vaccine mandate convoy protest, the minister said. People who defy orders to leave, he added, will face fines or jail time, or both.

If Canada had a loyal opposition they would stand with the Truckers.

But we get what we deserve and what we have is a corrupt permanent political class and a scared one at that.

Parliament is overrun by lifestyle politicians aided by an ever expanding predatory “public service” whose goal is our financial and spiritual impoverishment.

Their bought media and minions are gleefully ratting out our fellow citizens for the crime of peaceably protesting.

They are threatening protesters with financial ruin, even jail.

So like Trudeauscu’s beloved Cuba and Uncle Fidel’s Block-Watchers.

We are not far at all from criminalizing dissent as a psychiatric disorder.

And don’t we all look forward to Junior’s internet censorship legislation.

No one in good conscience can ever vote for a mainstream party again.

We are a shithole nation.

Because we let them.

CBC Experts: Freedom Is Fascism

The Canadian-government-funded CBC published a “freedom is fascism” attack on liberty this weekend, quoting “experts” who claim that the word “freedom” has become “flexible” and “common among far-right groups.”

Let’s see who’s really doing the flexing, shall we?

The CBC quotes Barbara Perry, director of the Centre on Hate, Bias and Extremism at the Oshawa-based Ontario Tech University, who claims that the problem with “freedom” is that “You can define it and understand it and sort of manipulate it in a way that makes sense to you and is useful to you, depending on your perspective.”

CBC smears Freedom as Nazi just in time for junior to invoke the “Emergencies Act”. How convenient is that?

Media ‘Predictably Silent’ on Communist Flags Carried at Pro-Lockdown Protests: Jason Kenney

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney says the “media has been predictably silent” on the display of communist signs at pro-lockdown counter-protests in Ottawa, drawing a contrast to the wide condemnation of Nazi symbols that appeared in isolated incidents during the trucker protests, which Kenney said he had called on convoy organizers to disassociate themselves with.

“Two weeks ago I called on convoy organizers to disassociate themselves from symbols of hatred displayed by a small number of people. They did so,” Kenney wrote in a post on Twitter on Feb. 12.

“Today pro-lockdown counter protestors displayed Communist flags & signs in Ottawa, but the media has been predictably silent about it.”

No one should need reminding that Communism is the ideology behind the largest mass slaughters of the 20th century.

No one should need reminding that the chattering class routinely lies.

Bottom line: The membership of Canada’s public service union predator class in Ottawa are distressed at coming face to face with the proles they financially rape to sustain their privileged lifestyles. That’s the reason for invoking the “Emergencies Act.” They would have you disappeared if they could.

Jordan Peterson blasts CBC as “appallingly corrupt, ideologically warped”

Renowned Canadian author and psychologist Dr. Jordan B. Peterson gave a scathing critique of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and its coverage of the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa.

Peterson made the comments during an episode of his podcast with guest Dr. Julie Ponesse. He said the public broadcaster should no longer receive any public funding due to its “appallingly corrupt” practices.

Media Silent On Solution For Convoy Chaos: Trudeau Should Quit

A cure for the social chaos emanating from the Truckers Convoy is as obvious as snow on the Rocky Mountains. All that has to happen is for Justin Trudeau to quit.

Notice how not a single mainstream media organization offer this simple suggestion? There’s a darn good reason why. How many readers think it is a good idea to tell your boss to quit their job? There’s the answer. The reason for this current structure comes in a form media choose not to reveal. Why would they, when it would be a case of biting the hand that feeds them?
