California tries to tear down the Castle Doctrine

A few decades ago the movement for concealed carry began. Anti-liberty/gun cracktivists were outraged. There would be wild west gunfights everywhere! The streets would run with blood! Of course, none of that happened. More recently, the Constitutional Carry movement caught fire, and the same predictions of blazing gunplay were made and failed to materialize. More than half the states allow constitutional carry and every state allows concealed carry of some sort. No state that has adopted concealed or constitutional carry has repealed either.

No charges for home-invasion stabbing death in latest test of self-defence law

One witness said he heard an “inhuman” cry from inside the house. When police arrived, they discovered why.

A 26-year-old man had been stabbed to death, the victim of what the medical examiner later deemed to be a homicide.

But police announced Monday that no charges are being considered in the incident three days ago in Halifax, saying the dead man was one of two attempting to invade the blue clapboard house.

You break-in to my home I will kill you. That should be all the law needed.
