In the summer of ’72, I lent my Led Zeppelin 4 album to a girl down the street, Karen F., and in turn she lent me Black Sabbath – Paranoid (which included War Pigs) and Alice Cooper – Love It To Death. It was a life changing experience at 12 years old! I had purchased the new Led Zeppelin album during Easter break because Robin W., who sat near me on the school bus liked Black Dog on the radio. She was a year older than me and reached ‘early physical maturity’ in a large way. Believe me she was impressed I had LZ IV!
We have a new category called ‘Chicks Can’t Rock’ & I’m gonna torture y’all with it. 😉 Oh and BTW, I used to be the sound guy for a band – do you have any idea how hard it is to play rhythm guitar and sing? Okay, now think about playing lead and singing at the same time. Crazy hard, eh? This woman is playing both rhythm and lead and singing, the guy on stage with her is only playing bass. Show a little respect for her talent.
And damn look at Go Go Ray on drums!
