Vaccine ‘passports’ in the works in Quebec, says minister, despite concerns globally and from Trudeau

MONTREAL — The idea of giving citizens “passports” proving they’ve been vaccinated is controversial around the world, and in Ottawa—but less so in Quebec, whose health minister said Thursday that the province is going full steam ahead on the idea.

“The goal is easy,” said Quebec Health Minister Christian Dubé when asked about passports at a press conference.

Spread of Covid Virus Is ‘Mass Murder’: China Expert Gordon Chang

Gordon Chang, author of “The Coming Collapse of China,” discussed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ambitions in biological warfare, human experimentation, and Biden’s position on China in an interview with The Epoch Times’ “Crossroads” program.

Various reports have revealed that the Chinese military has been collecting genetic data from foreigners which could allow it to target specific DNA strands based on race.

“[China] wants the DNA profiles of foreigners, because that gives them more information to be able to do what we just discussed, which are viruses that attack only certain ethnic or racial groups,” Chang said. “So the more data they collect, the more information they have to do this.”

While making only a limited impact on Covid-19, lockdowns are taking a severe toll on physical and mental health.

While making only a limited impact on Covid-19, lockdowns are taking a severe toll on physical and mental health.

We Are Not Safer At Home

At the start of the pandemic last year, Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti chose “safer at home” as the motto for his lockdown policies. If the past year has shown us anything, it’s how misguided that notion is. Lockdowns have created not just economic devastation for America’s small businesses, restaurants, museums, and zoos. They have also taken a significant toll on the mental and physical health of everyone from small children to the elderly (while doing little to contain the virus itself). To get a sense of this, compare two states that took opposite approaches: New York and Florida.

California death toll from Covid-19 tops 50,000 after winter surge

California’s Covid-19 death toll rose above 50,000 on Wednesday, after Los Angeles county reported another 806 deaths during the winter surge.

The county, which has a quarter of the state’s 40 million residents, said the deaths mainly occurred between 3 December and 3 February. The department of public health identified them after going through death records that were backlogged by the sheer volume of the surge’s toll.

International travelers are walking out of Mississauga’s Pearson Airport and ignoring quarantine rules

International travelers arriving at Mississauga’s Pearson Airport are bypassing new government hotel quarantine protocols by simply walking out of the airport or by choosing to take a fine.

Peel Police have confirmed they are not detaining or arresting people who leave the arrival area. As well, others who refuse to take the mandatory COVID-19 test or book the quarantine hotel upon arrival, are opting to receive a fine that is cheaper than the quarantine cost and then are released to go home. The fines are usually in the $820 range while staying at an approved quarantine hotel could cost up to $2,000.

How Ottawa’s mistakes ensured you’ll likely be vaccinated six months later than everyone else

How Ottawa’s mistakes ensured you’ll likely be vaccinated six months later than everyone else

As you might have noticed if you’re a Canadian, not many of us are vaccinated against COVID-19 right now. As of publication, a mere 2.8% of us have gotten the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, and only 1% of us have gotten both doses. So, in all of Canada, the amount of people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (400,000) is roughly equivalent to the population of London, Ont.
