Why vaccine passports make things worse: Full Comment with Anthony Furey

The majority of Canadians have been clamouring for vaccine passports as a way to make them feel safer about COVID-19. But while feeling safe isn’t the same as actually being safe, politicians are rushing ahead with these polarizing policies anyway. Christine Van Geyn, litigation director at the Canadian Constitution Foundation, talks to Anthony about why passport policies probably won’t work, but they will likely cause serious harm both to individuals and to our society.

Canadians’ lives are getting harder, not easier under Justin Trudeau’s watch, according to Conservative leader Erin O’Toole.

For Joe Biden, It’s All Downhill From Here

oe Biden’s presidency is not going well.

That’s been apparent for a long time. It’s not like the transitionary inflation that’s not transitionary, the stagnating jobs market, the border crisis, and the off-putting woke-ism are new to the scene. But perhaps ironically, given foreign policy was supposed to be Biden’s area of expertise (lol), the deadly disaster in Afghanistan has represented a turning point for the president.

Kamala Harris has officially been thrown under the bus, and for good reasons

Joe Concha has an op-ed over at The Hill this week where he seeks to answer a question that Karen Townsend asks here on a regular basis. Where’s Kamala? But aside from that, we just don’t see much of her. Concha makes the argument that none of this is happening by accident.

When You’ve Lost The Washington Post, You Know You’ve Screwed Up, Joe

It takes a lot for the editorial board of a major liberal paper to shred you. As a Democrat, you have to have screwed up royally. For Joe Biden, his chaotic and utterly shameful Afghanistan exit was just something that not even The Washington Post could defend. We’re out now. America’s longest war in Afghanistan is over. The last planes left yesterday. After two decades of war, we replaced the Taliban with…the Taliban. The national army we helped train collapsed in less than two weeks. The government we propped up evaporated in the same timeframe. A lot of lies were sold to us and we’ll get to the bottom of those, but now Biden has to contend with the fact that he left Americans behind. He left key Afghans and their families behind. The number of folks we promised to get out has soared into the thousands. This is a “moral disaster,” and the publication did no hold back ripping the Biden administration for strategic and tactical missteps that created this catastrophe. Oh, and they’re not impressed with the Biden team’s ‘we’ve conducted the most awesome and bestest airlift ever. ’

A Week Ago, Justin Trudeau Wanted Canadians To Be “Infuriated.” Why Isn’t He Happy That His Wish Came True?

There is now zero doubt that Justin Trudeau is facing a huge backlash from Canadians for plunging the country into an election.

Time To Think The Unthinkable

For a long time, anyone who has followed the career of Joe Biden has had grave reservations about what a Biden Presidency would portend. It is not simply that the man has always been singularly unimpressive. It is that all of the available information suggests strongly that he has been at the heart of a massive influence-peddling scheme for years and that the Communist Chinese in particular have funneled vast sums of money to him via his son Hunter.

The Chinese have for decades put massive effort into buying American politicians and policymakers. The appearance was, to anyone who would bother to look at the evidence, that they may well have bought Biden.

Anyone taking a hard look at the people Biden brought into his cabinet had similar concerns about those individuals. If Xi Jinping had chosen them, they could hardly have been more friendly to CCP interests or have collectively taken more money from the Chinese over the years. Pulling them all together in one team suggested strongly that we were about to see a massive shift in American policy, in favor of the Communist Party of China (CCP).

Dan Crenshaw, Lara Logan Bring the Most Disturbing Reports Out of the Kabul Airport Yet

Rep. Dan Crenshaw is a retired Navy SEAL who served and was wounded in Afghanistan’s Helmand province during his third deployment, in 2012. Lara Logan is a long-time award-winning journalist now working for Fox News who has spent much of her career covering war zones including Iraq and Afghanistan. Between the two of them, Logan and Crenshaw have spent years in and around Afghanistan. Due to their experience there, both are likely to have credible sources on the ground at the Kabul airport.

Both Logan and Crenshaw are independently reporting that Americans have been turned away from safety at that airport over the past couple of days.

Biden again refuses to take questions on Afghanistan

Last Friday Joe Biden announced to the media at a press avail that he would not be taking questions on Afghanistan. His lame excuse for sidestepping the most vital topic of the day was that Israel’s new prime minister, Naftali Bennett, was visiting him at the White House. Hard to imagine after all that Israel’s head of state would have much interest in the fate of another Middle Eastern country that had recently passed into the hands of a sponsor of Islamic terrorism.

A day later Biden stopped by FEMA headquarters to address the federal response to Hurricane Ida after it made landfall in Louisiana as a Category 4 storm. His meeting with the Israeli PM was not history. But when it came time for questions from the press after the president finished his remarks, he demurred again, announcing, “I’m not going to answer on Afghanistan right now.”

How The Pandemic Has Damaged The Canadian Family Unit

The most infamous demand of the Communist Manifesto is found in the “abolition of the family.” The family unit, Karl Marx suggested, was where “patriarchy and capitalism worked in tandem to produce willing, alienated workers.”

While Marx once alluded to a higher form of the family in communist society, he usually wrote about the dissolution and abolition of the family unit. The relationships he envisaged for communist societies were to have little or no resemblance to the family as it existed in nineteenth-century Europe.

Thus a manifestation within nations such as China, as well as the former Soviet Union. Within these communist societies, the family unit remains subordinate to the state.

Ryerson University to change its name amid reckoning with history of residential schools

Egerton Ryerson is considered one of the primary architects of the residential school system and, in recent years, staff and students had been calling for both the removal of his statue and for the university to change its name.

Digging for the Truth in Canada’s Residential Schools Graves: Part Two

Part One of this three-part series considered the evidence supporting horrific claims made about the unmarked graves recently found at former Indian Residential Schools across Canada. Upon closer investigation, many of these allegations turned out to be exaggerated, unproven or simply wrong.

Part One also explained that unmarked graves are surprisingly common across Canada. The graves of millions of Canadians have been neglected over the centuries – in pioneer cemeteries, around jails, prisons and poorhouses and elsewhere throughout the country. In most cases, evidence suggests those buried originally received a respectful Christian service. It was only after many decades that these cemeteries fell into disuse or neglect. And while this may point to a regrettable lack of respect for Canada’s history among subsequent generations, the mere presence of unmarked graves cannot be considered prima facie evidence of genocide or systemic racism.

When the smoke finally clears, one thing is certain: Biden has been derelict in his duty, he is unfit to lead, and he should be impeached.

‘Herd immunity’ no longer possible without vaccinating young children: Public Health Ontario

Achieving herd immunity against coronavirus will not be possible without an approved vaccine for children under 12, Public Health Ontario says in a new report about what the pandemic will look like this fall and winter.

Considerations for Ontario Fall and Winter 2021
COVID-19 Planning

The emergence and spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)
variant Delta (B.1.617.2, first identified in India) has changed pre-existing assumptions (i.e.,
based on the Alpha variant [B.1.1.7, first identified in the United Kingdom [UK]) about the
prevention and control of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The Delta variant is more
transmissible, reduces the effectiveness of a single dose of current vaccines, causes more severe disease and is currently the dominant strain in Ontario. As a result, the level of vaccine coverage needed for ‘herd immunity’ is now estimated to be at least 90% of the population, and over 100% of the vaccine eligible population.

Shortages Are Making The United States Look More Like The USSR
