A Toronto-area middle school is in crisis. Administrators pin the blame on teachers

This mural would be enough to set me off.

At Tomken Road Middle School in Mississauga, Ont., in the suburbs west of Toronto, the last day of school on Friday cannot come soon enough.

The school of 900 or so students in grades 6, 7 and 8 (aged 11 to 14) is in crisis, not only because of uncorrected misbehaviour by students that puts safety at risk and undermines every student’s education, but also because of bitter acrimony between teachers and board administration about how to respond.

“She will be returning to active duty following her involvement in a reintegration program.”

… On Wednesday, a disciplinary hearing for Edmonton Police Service (EPS) Const. Elena Golysheva was held. Golysheva was relieved from duty without pay in March 2022 after she attended a Feb. 12, 2022, convoy rally near the blockade at the Coutts U.S.-Canada border crossing.

Trudeau government spent millions on private lawyers for work related to the Emergencies Act

OTTAWA — The federal government spent at least $3.7 million on outside lawyers for work related to its controversial use of the Emergencies Act to quash last year’s so-called “Freedom Convoy” protests, the justice department says.

In response to a formal written question that Conservative MP Dane Lloyd submitted in Parliament, the government revealed this month it had spent $3,756,458.66 as of May 4 to hire private lawyers for this work, which does not include money spent on the high-profile judicial inquiry into the unprecedented use of the Emergencies Act.

Two convoy protesters win right to new change of venue hearings

Two men charged in connection with last year’s convoy protest are expected to apply for a second time to have their trials heard somewhere outside Ottawa.

Former MPP Randy Hillier and protest organizer Pat King were granted the right to re-apply for a change of venue in recent decisions issued by Superior Court Justice Kevin Phillips. He set aside earlier decisions, issued April 26, that summarily dismissed those applications.

The media hid the fact that the 2022 Canadian trucker convoy won

Canada had some of the most draconian COVID restrictions in the world. In January 2022, Canadian truckers had enough. They banded together in a massive convoy headed for Ottawa. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded with a brutal crackdown, arresting many and, even worse, working with banks to impoverish the truckers and their supporters. And that’s where most of us thought it ended—with defeated truckers. Now, though, a Twitterer has written a post explaining that the convoy was wildly successful, news that Canada’s (and the world’s) media stifled.

Meet The Violent Anarchist Behind DHS’s ‘Pyramid Of Far-Right Radicalization’ Scandal

Last week, the Media Research Center (MRC) published a report gleaned from Freedom of Information Act requests that shows how the Biden administration has weaponized the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to target political opponents. DHS provided $352,109 in grant funding to the University of Dayton’s PREVENTS-OH counter-extremism project. The grant application was based in part on the work of openly anarchist Antifa-affiliated Michael Loadenthal, a postdoctoral researcher at the university who, by his own admission, is a far-left violent extremist.

Biden DHS Funded Program That Highlighted Video Conflating Conservatives And Nazis In Its Grant Application: Report

A Biden Department of Homeland Security (DHS) “anti-terrorism” program sent funding to an outfit that, in its grant application, included a video conflating conservative and Christian groups with neo-Nazis and terrorists, a new report from the Media Research Center (MRC) suggests. Additionally, in another video from the linked conference, the same researcher from the first video bragged about working to get conservatives fired, evicted, expelled, socially ostracized, and de-banked.

DHS: First You Watch FOX News, Then PragerU, Then You Become a Nazi

This is about criminalizing political dissent.

Disinformation and counter-extremism programs have become little more than tools for suppressing the political opposition. With DHS handing out grants to study extremism, the Media Research Center has information on what may be the single most explicit attempt at using counter-extremism funding to go after the opposition.

IRS worked overtime to probe Twitter Files journalist Matt Taibbi

The IRS really must have wanted to investigate Matt Taibbi, the Twitter Files journalist.

Records produced to Congress show that the tax agency opened an examination of Mr. Taibbi’s 2018 return last Christmas Eve, according to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan.

The records also show that Mr. Taibbi was able to resolve the tax issue quickly, did not owe the IRS anything and in fact was due a “substantial refund,” Mr. Jordan said Wednesday in a new letter demanding answers from the IRS.

Windsor Police Officer Must Work Unpaid Hours as Penalty for Donating $50 to Freedom Convoy

As punishment for donating $50 to the Freedom Convoy, a Windsor police officer will have to work unpaid hours after being previously convicted of discreditable conduct.

Const. Michael Brisco, who donated to the Freedom Convoy protest in Ottawa through GiveSendGo on Feb. 7, 2022, was on unpaid leave at the time because he didn’t meet Windsor Police Service’s (WPS) COVID-19 vaccination policy.

Here’s the FBI Glossary for Flagging ‘Violent Extremism’

What happened to the FBI?

The FBI uses a “glossary of terms” to look for online that could indicate someone is involved with “violent extremism,” according to documents obtained by The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project.

The flagged terms include “redpilled,” first popularized by the 1999 film “The Matrix,” “based,” “looksmaxxing,” and the names “Chad” and “Stacey.”

The FBI also flags phrases that include “it’s over” and “just be first.”
