Four saboteurs arrested by Border Patrol for spiking their tires while on an immigration operation on Tuesday have been identified. And, you could say, they left their seeming benefactor, a government-subsidized NGO, holding the bag.
The Trump administration appears to be targeting officials who oversaw the investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign’s connections to Russia, examining the actions of the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey and the former C.I.A. director John O. Brennan, according to people familiar with the situation.
John Ratcliffe, the C.I.A. director and a harsh critic of his Democratic-appointed predecessors, has made a criminal referral of Mr. Brennan to the F.B.I., accusing him of lying to Congress, officials said. The bureau is also scrutinizing Mr. Comey for his role in the Russia investigation, other officials said, although the exact basis for an inquiry remains unclear.
Mayor Arturo Flores of Huntington Park, California had his own Sumter moment when he ordered police to confront ICE personnel taking illegal alien criminals into custody.
“This is not immigration enforcement. This is state-sanctioned intimidation,” Flores declared. “I am calling for the immediate cessation of these raids and for the Huntington Park Police Department to begin verifying the identities and authority of any individuals conducting such operations within city limits.”

A former CIA officer has admitted that nothing about the latest Jeffrey Epstein developments adds up, and it seems like a massive cover up.
As we highlighted yesterday, everything was tied up neatly with a bow as the DOJ and FBI claimed that there is no evidence of any “client list” belonging to the convicted pedophile sex trafficker, or that he was ever involved in any plot to blackmail elite or important people.

I have just come across the most remarkable story in the news outlet NOTUS. Its headline is, “Trump Fired Them. Now They’re Plotting to Stop Him,” and yet, despite its explosive subject matter, it is written in the sort of dry, matter-of-fact tone that one would typically associate with a report on the most recent meeting of the county drainage board. In fairness, too little editorial comment is a lesser sin in this type of article than too much, but, given the astounding implications of the facts the author relates, I thought that it deserved a good deal more comment that it received, and so, having picked my jaw up from its new home atop my keyboard, I resolved to provide just that.

I literally feel sick right now. John Brennan, the disgraced former Obama CIA director, may have opened himself up to perjury charges after a new email was uncovered in a scathing internal review by CIA career professionals of the agency’s 2016 Trump-Russia collusion assessment.
Brennan is said to be under renewed scrutiny by authorities over discrepancies between his sworn testimony to federal investigations and his written orders to underlings conducting the Intelligence Community Assessment commissioned by President Barack Obama in December 2016 that found Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to help Donald Trump.
Deceased financier Jeffrey Epstein and his colleague, Ghislaine Maxwell, were both charged by the Justice Department with sex trafficking—and Maxwell was convicted. But according to the DOJ, the two apparently didn’t have any clients.
In a bombshell FBI memo leaked to Axios and published Sunday night, officials said they’ve reviewed more than 300 gigabytes of Epstein evidence—and haven’t found any vast human trafficking or sexual blackmail operation.

It’s unlikely that the question of how large the conspiracy to kill President Kennedy was will ever be resolved to everybody’s satisfaction.
Was there no conspiracy at all? Did the Soviets or the Cubans order the hit? Was it the CIA, or Johnson, or the Mob? California’s fight to rein in President Trump’s deployment of troops to Los Angeles hinges on a 19th century law with a a blood-soaked origin and a name that seems pulled from a Spaghetti Western.
In a pivotal ruling this week, Senior U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer ordered the federal government to hand over evidence to state authorities seeking to prove that the actions of troops in Southern California violate the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, which forbids soldiers from enforcing civilian laws.
“How President Trump has used and is using the federalized National Guard and the Marines since deploying them at the beginning of June is plainly relevant to the Posse Comitatus Act,” Breyer wrote Wednesday in his order authorizing “limited expedited discovery.”
