The threat from the founder of Hamas calling for all followers around the world to dedicate their “blood and souls” to Palestine on Friday is being taken seriously here in Toronto.
As the calendar heads into Friday the 13th of October, Toronto Police are ready. Chief Myron Demkiw has made it clear there will be an “increased police presence at places of worship.”
The Jerusalem Post can now confirm based on verified photos of the bodies that the reports of babies being burnt and decapitated in Hamas’s assault on Kfar Aza are correct. May their memory be a blessing.
The photos were shown to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his visit to Israel on Thursday by the Public Diplomacy Directorate in the Prime Minister’s Office. Later in the day, the photos were published by the Prime Minister’s Office on Twitter. The photos are graphic and have a content warning covering them until a button reading “show” is pressed.
I was proud when my son, then aged three, wore his kippa (Jewish skullcap) for the first time. We placed the kippa on his head and told him what it meant to be a Jew. ‘Mazel tov!’ we said as we hugged each other, prayed, and sung. We wondered hopefully what he might become – a rabbi, a doctor, an accountant – and we laughed and sung some more. A blessing on your head, mazel tov, mazel tov!
He’s now 17, and for the first time in his life was asked this week to cover his kippa up. An email from his school in London suggested that, in light of Hamas’s attack on Israel and the backlash in Britain, it might be wise not to wear it in public.
This is not an uncommon occurrence, Jews have been warned about “displays of faith” in France, Germany and Sweden and elsewhere at various times over the last few years, really it’s anywhere a significant Muslim population exists.

Note that the GTA has a larger Muslim population than Dearborn now. Soon they will exercise their muscle in the streets with impunity as they do in European cities. Be sure to thank our politicians for importing this.
