Nolte: ‘Indiana Jones 5’ a ‘Disaster of Epic Proportions’ for Disney

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is “shaping up to be a disaster of epic proportions for parent company Disney and its veteran CEO, Bob Iger,” Fortune reported.

Dial of Destiny “could potentially rival John Carter as the Mouse House’s worst-ever live-action commercial bomb,” continues the report, “and call into question the future of [Lucasfilm] boss Kathleen Kennedy, a former Fortune Most Powerful Woman.”

Nolte: Desperate Disney Prepares to Sell Off Third of Company

Topple that statue!

Disgraced Disney CEO Bob Iger “put roughly a third of the company up for sale this week,” Bloomberg Business reports.

According to the report, the sale announcement was a subtle but unmistakable one. Iger made the announcement during his disastrous CNBC interview last week, where he was caught lying with the false claim that Disney is not sexualizing children.

Woke ‘Barbie’ Bait and Switch in the Works?

Hollywood may finally be learning a lesson conservatives have been shouting from the roof tops.

Get woke, go broke.

Recent woke fare like “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies” and the “Willow” TV series not only got canceled in a flash but vanished from their respective streaming platforms. Then-HBO Max nixed the “Batgirl” film before it could be released, choosing a tax write-off over another potential woke dud.

The Black Mirror plot about AI that worries actors

Hollywood actors are striking for the first time in 43 years, bringing the American movie and television business to a halt, partly over fears about the impact of artificial intelligence (AI).

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) actors’ union failed to reach an agreement in the US for better protections against AI for its members – and warned that “artificial intelligence poses an existential threat to creative professions” as it prepared to dig in over the issue.

Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, the chief negotiator for the SAG-AFTRA union, criticised producers for their proposals over AI so far.

I am not sure how this will pan out, perhaps AI actors will be accepted as animation is currently.

At the risk of sounding pervy I expect porn to advance this technology before it goes mainstream.

One good thing, no more woke actors lecturing us about the need to surrender children for sexual mutilation.

Nolte: Hooray for Woke Hollywood Shutting Down

Two strikes have shut down Woke Hollywood and that’s a beautiful thing.

Hollywood is shut down and we’re all supposed to pretend we care now that people who hate us and target our children are out of work. Well, I’m too old to pretend. As the Last Unicorn, as the last right-winger who, up until a couple of years ago, defended the entertainment industry as a vital American institution and creator of art, I’m now pledging those delegates to my Blu-ray collection.

Culturally Appropriated Snow White and the Seven… Politically-Correct Companions?

This reminds me of that horrid Michael Jackson cultural appropriation disaster “The Wiz.”

Heigh-ho, heigh-ho it’s off to the job centre they go — for the seven dwarves have been replaced by ‘magical creatures’ for Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White.

Rachel Zegler, who plays the fictional princess, has been pictured for the first time with her new companions who appear to be a mix of genders, ethnicities and heights.

The actress, wearing Snow White’s famous yellow and blue dress and a red cape, is trailed by the group who are dressed in brightly coloured clothes and carrying work tools. They were spotted shooting scenes in Bedfordshire on Thursday in pictures obtained exclusively by MailOnline.

Cultural genocide seems more like it.

Starring Ms. Box Office Poison Rachel Zegler!

Hollywood Stars Go on Strike: Celebrities Walk Off the Job Bringing TV and Movie Production to a Historic Halt

Hollywood stars will walk off the job en masse Thursday night after the screen actors’ union SAG-AFTRA failed to reach a new contract with studios, effectively bringing scripted TV and movie production around the country to a screeching halt.

The actors’ work stoppage comes as Hollywood writers are in the third month of their own strike, creating a highly unusual situation in the entertainment industry that could jeopardize thousands of jobs and wreak havoc on local economies stretching from California to Georgia.

The mega-strike that could take down Hollywood

Hollywood’s writers have been on strike for two months and soon the actors may join them, swapping the red carpet for the picket lines.

The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) contract expires at midnight local time on 12 July, following a deadline extension that delayed the possibility of a mega-strike by almost two weeks.

They would join the Writers Guild of America, which went on strike on 2 May after failing to reach a deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), an umbrella group representing studios like Disney, Netflix, Amazon and Apple.

Disney World Hasn’t Felt This Empty in Years

Topple that statue!

Visitors to Disney theme parks this summer are encountering something they haven’t seen in a while: elbow room.

Travel analysts and advisers say traffic to Disney’s U.S. parks, and some rival parks, has slowed this summer. Data from a travel company that tracks line-waiting time at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., shows that the Independence Day weekend was one of the slowest in nearly a decade.

All I know of Disney’s theme parks are the fight videos.

Scorn of Liberal Movie Critics Fails to Deter Audiences from Turning ‘Sound of Freedom’ into Summer’s Surprise Hit

Critics in the liberal media hate it. Hollywood is stunned. Audiences, however, can’t seem to get enough of this summer’s most unlikely box office hit, “Sound of Freedom.”

The film stars Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in Mel Gibson’s “Passion of the Christ,” as a former federal agent, Tim Ballard, on a quest to save children from sex traffickers. The tale, based on a true story, takes Mr. Ballard into the seamier corners of Latin America, where he declares, “God’s children are not for sale.”

Brazen Media Deny Real Reasons for ‘Dial of Destiny’s’ Failure

It’s all but official. “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” will put Disney in the red.

Again.

The fifth and presumably final film in the iconic saga opened to a weak $60 million at the U.S. box office. Those numbers would be withering for most would-be blockbusters, witness fiscal failures like “The Flash” ($55 million) and “Black Adam” ($67 million).

“Dial of Destiny” arrives with a bloated $295 million budget (or worse) plus millions in P&A. That means it’ll take a cinematic miracle for “Dial of Destiny” to break even.
