Zohran Mamdani’s racial Stalinism

New York may be the greatest city on Earth – but don’t count its mayor, Zohran Mamdani, among its fans.

According to Mamdani, New York City is little more than a cesspit of racism and white supremacy, and has been ever since it was stumbled upon by the Dutch in the 17th century. ‘New York’s history has been one of colonisation, exploitation and racial oppression’, states the mayor’s recently released Citywide Racial Equity Plan. The city’s ‘racial inequalities’, it asserts, are ‘rooted in our 400-year history’, beginning with the European settlement of New Amsterdam in 1624 and continuing unabated until, we can only suppose, Mamdani’s election as mayor in November.

Asylum seeker ‘told friend “you are an animal” after watching him spit in woman’s face after raping her on Brighton beach’, court hears

An asylum seeker accused of raping a drunk woman on Brighton beach branded his friend ‘an animal’ after witnessing him spit in the alleged victim’s face, a court heard.

Iranian-born Abdulla Ahmadi, 26, said he was ‘disgusted’ after watching Egyptian Karin Al-Danasurt, 20, grab hold the the woman’s face and spit in her mouth.

He told the court: ‘I pushed him and was swearing to him and told him: “You are an animal”.’

‘Practicing Muslims Can’t Disavow Sharia Even If They Wanted To’

As a professor at Georgetown University and Washington Post columnist, Shadi Hamid is a made guy in today’s leftist establishment, and it is from those positions of oracular authority that he has delivered a sobering message to the growing movement to ban Sharia in the United States. In the WaPo on Wednesday, he declared that Muslims should not have to assimilate into American society and should not be expected to do so, and that efforts to ban Sharia were not only bigoted and “Islamophobic,” but also futile, as Muslims simply weren’t going to give Sharia up. And he’s right about that part, albeit in the midst of being wildly disingenuous about the nature of Sharia itself.

British Citizen Charged With Leading Somali Terrorist Group

A British man has been charged in connection with his alleged involvement in a Somalia-based Islamist terrorist organisation.

Jermaine Grant, 43, of no fixed abode, is accused of directing the activities of Al-Shabaab between December 31st, 2007, and January 1st, 2010.

Pakistani man who came to Canada on a student visa pleads guilty to plotting to kill Jewish people in the U.S.

A former international student in Canada has pleaded guilty to a terrorism charge Wednesday, telling the court it was a “morally reprehensible idea” to support the Islamic State group by plotting to use automatic weapons to kill Jewish people at a Brooklyn centre.

Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, 21, said he answered the group’s call for Muslims to kill Jewish people by plotting to attack the Jewish centre in October 2024.

Oh but he’s reformed!

You can’t screen because all Muslims believe in Jihad so ban them all.

Washington Post columnist argues Muslims shouldn’t have to assimilate in America

Washington Post columnist Shadi Hamid is making the case that Muslims don’t need to assimilate in America.

“The assimilation defense — look how well we’ve integrated — is satisfying to make. But it concedes a premise I no longer accept: that a minority community’s right to be in the United States depends on its willingness to converge with the cultural mainstream. It shouldn’t depend on that. It shouldn’t depend on anything,” Hamid wrote Wednesday.

I agree they shouldn’t have to assimilate because they shouldn’t be here to begin with.

At televised Premiership football matches, play stopped to allow Muslim players to break their fast. Days before Eid, Muslims gathered in London’s Trafalgar Square to pray in public. The Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, hailed the “power of being Muslim” as he addressed thousands at the “biggest Iftar in the Western world.”

For Christians around the world, Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, in commemoration of the entrance of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.

On Palm Sunday this year, on Saturday 29 March, Christians in the city of Jos in northern Nigeria’s Plateau State saw AK-wielding jihadists enter their city on motorbike. Dozens were then slaughtered. One local leader told me of the pain of praying with a single mother whose 17-year-old son was murdered. Another woman was pregnant when she was shot dead.

Labour’s Islamophobia ban spells the death of English liberty

The bigots who hounded the Batley Grammar teacher into hiding have been rewarded with a blasphemy law.

There is a schoolteacher in England whose name I cannot tell you, because he was forced to change it. In March 2021, he showed his year nine class at West Yorkshire’s Batley Grammar School a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad – a reproduction of the infamous Charlie Hebdo cartoon from 2015 – as part of a lesson on blasphemy. It was five months after Samuel Paty, a French teacher who had conducted a similar lesson, was beheaded by a jihadist in a suburb of Paris. One might have expected, in the aftermath of a colleague’s decapitation, some institutional solidarity. One would have been naive.

On the official GoFundMe page where his supporters have raised more than £116,000, the young father is known simply as ‘The Teacher’. Perhaps a better title might be ‘The Forgotten Teacher’.

Last week marked the fifth anniversary of an extraordinary – and shameful – episode in modern British history that saw this man, then a respected member of staff at Batley Grammar School in West Yorkshire, forced into hiding, fearing for his own life and for those of his children.

There, shockingly, he remains. Today he is living under a new identity, having fled not just the classroom, but his home, his town, his rugby club, his entire previous life.

Harrow School has many centuries-old traditions that make it a jewel in the crown of British education: straw hats, black tailcoats and its own form of archaic slang, where “beaks” means teachers and “the ducker” is the swimming pool.

Soon it will need to grapple with some new customs. Sir Winston Churchill’s alma mater is opening two schools in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this summer, where Muslim pupils recite the Koran and learn about beating their wives.
