‘Minnesota resident’

“ISIS Wannabe” Arrested In Minnesota, Praised New Orleans Terror Attack

Abdisatar Ahmed Hassan, a Minnesota resident, was arrested Thursday and charged with attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization, specifically ISIS.

According to a criminal complaint, Hassan made two unsuccessful attempts in December 2024 to travel from Minnesota to Somalia to join ISIS. He allegedly tried to disguise his intentions by claiming he was visiting family, despite having no relatives in Somalia. He was found to be carrying his birth certificate, naturalization certificate, and high school diploma.

MORGAN: Let’s talk about Islam

‘We must begin by admitting there’s a problem.’

It’s time for the world to have a frank discussion about Islam and how it fits into modern societies that respect human rights. It’s an elephant in the room and ignoring it has real costs.

One of the worst examples was in Rotherham UK where young girls were recruited, groomed and raped for decades by gangs of Pakistani men. The Jay Report estimates over 1,400 young women were victims of these gangs. The number is likely much higher since so many of these crimes went unreported.

The Persecution of Christians, January 2025

“Typically, kidnapped girls in Pakistan, some as young as 10, are abducted, forced to convert to Islam and raped under cover of Islamic ‘marriages’ and are then pressured to record false statements in favor of the kidnappers, rights advocates say. Judges routinely ignore documentary evidence related to the children’s ages, handing them back to kidnappers as their ‘legal wives.’ — Morning Star News, February 7, 2025, Pakistan.

Knife Attack in France Exacerbates Ongoing Quarrel With Algiers

The Islamic terror attack by an illegal immigrant from the former colony further entrenches bitter diplomatic relations.

When, once again, innocent French people were attacked by yet another knife-wielding North African, the country’s shock and sorrow soon gave way to anger at the suspect’s native country, Algeria. France was still reeling from the killing spree of Brahim Abdessemed in the Alsatian town of Mulhouse on Feb. 22, when its minister of the interior, Bruno Retailleau, had the unenviable task of informing the nation that he and his predecessor had vainly tried to extradite the man to Algeria no fewer than fourteen times.

Labour Islamophobia definition risks ‘blasphemy law by back door’

Islamist terrorism is the greatest threat this country faces, says former anti-extremism tsar Lord Walney

Just a matter of weeks ago, Lord Walney was serving in the heart of Government.

But then he had the disconcerting experience of being sacked by some of his oldest friends.

The peer and former Labour MP, who served for over four years as the Government’s independent adviser on political violence and extremism, was told in February by former party comrades at the Home Office that his job no longer existed.

I’m sure it will receive Royal approval.

‘The West is empowering radical Islam’

Islamic blasphemy laws have arrived in Europe. Two men in Britain have been arrested in the space of month for allegedly burning the Koran. Both were apparently acting in solidarity with Salwan Momika, an Iraqi refugee and outspoken atheist, who was murdered last month in Sweden while burning the Muslim holy book. Had the Islamist mob not got to him first, he would have stood trial for his supposed blasphemy. Either way, he would have been silenced.

“Islamonazis”? No, the Nazis were Islam lite

“Islamonazi” and “Islamofascist” reveal ignorance of Islam, which encompasses much more than Nazism or fascism ever could. Contrary to common assumptions, such terms downplay the nightmare that is Islam. It is easy to fall into seeing Islam as “just another religion” and perceive those of its adherents who wouldn’t hurt a fly as practising a milder variant of the religion of their more bloodthirsty brethren.

Some non-Muslims even do their “moderate” Muslim friends the favour of expelling their “extremist” counterparts out of the category “Muslim” and relegating them to a new category, “Islamists”, who, once so expelled, no longer practise Islam, but “Islamism”. In this simplistic mind-game, the proponents of “Islamism” have yet to identify the Islamist scripture that is not a Muslim scripture, an Islamist ritual that is not a Muslim ritual, the Islamist doctrine that is not a Muslim doctrine, the Islamist prophet who is not the Muslim prophet and the Islamist Allah who is not the Muslim Allah. When they “clarify” that Muslims want to live in peace, while “Islamists” want to take over the state, they merely confirm their ignorance of Islam.

MANDEL: Who’s watching man once on terrorism peace bond?

We sure hope someone is still keeping an eye on Daniel Khoshnood.

The 33-year-old has just returned to Toronto from a three-year stint in a British Columbia jail on charges he threatened to harm his parole officer. He was arrested in June 2022, right after his 10-month terrorism peace bond had expired.

Solingen knife attack: Muslim suspect charged with murder

German prosecutors on Thursday charged the suspect behind a fatal knife attack at a local festival in the western German city of Solingen.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Issa Al H., was charged with three counts of murder, 10 counts of attempted murder and membership in the “Islamic State” (IS) terror group.

The Solingen knife attack and a series of similar incidents shook Germany and fueled the heated political debate about migration and deportation in the months leading up to last week’s federal election.

York University student president urged to resign over ‘deeply concerning’ support for Hamas

“Lived a hero and died a hero,” York University student Somar Abuaziza wrote on Instagram following the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar last October.

Last Tuesday, Abuaziza became president of the York Federation of Students (YFS), representing nearly 50,000 undergraduates and boasting an almost $2 million annual budget, raising concerns from students and others who question the leadership of a student leader with views they see as toxic.

Don’t wear ‘terrorist’ fancy dress to carnivals, warn German police

As millions of Germans get ready to celebrate the annual pre-Lent carnival season, police have increased security after a spate of deadly attacks and have warned the public not to dress up as police officers or carry replica guns as part of their costumes.

The city of Cologne, one of the main bastions of the Karneval traditions, has said it will deploy all available officers on the streets starting on Thursday, Weiberfastnacht or Old Wives’ Day, when the week-long season starts in earnest. There are street parties and women are allowed to cut off men’s ties and storm town halls with impunity.
