The man who drove a truck into a crowd of New Year’s revelers in New Orleans’ French Quarter, killing 15, has been identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, a US citizen.

The Ford electric vehicle was owned by another 42-year-old man from Houston, Texas. The truck had reportedly been rented out on Turo, and police are in contact with the owner who listed it for rent.

The gunman was killed by police after he slammed a truck into pedestrians celebrating the New Year, exited the vehicle, and started firing.

Never trust the FBI

Easy Peasy.

The Houellebecq Prophecies

The French writer’s novels have foretold coming catastrophes with uncanny prescience—and his ambivalence toward modernity has much to teach us.

Michel Houellebecq is a writer of the after—after history, after God, after politics, after romance, and after happiness. He chronicles a world in which we watch ourselves live, poisoned by irony, oscillating between nihilism and hedonism, until the difference between the two becomes imperceptible. Houellebecq captures this post-world without adornment. His characters are lonely, sexless, and impotent. They seek something higher and seldom find it. They try to escape from their condition but cannot. For Houellebecq, the impossibility of escape is the defining feature of our age. As he puts it in Platform (2001), “everything can happen in life, most of all nothing.” It’s not merely that nothing happens, but that nothing will happen. As a civilization, we may have done things in the past. But our present precludes the future tense.

Germany: Muslim couple accused of abusing Yazidi girls aged 5 and 12 as slaves

The couple allegedly bought two children at an Iraqi market and kept them as slaves. The accused are alleged to have been members of the “Islamic State” group and were detained in Bavaria in April.

Germany’s federal prosecutor on Monday charged an Iraqi couple with enslavement, torture and war crimes, after they allegedly kept two young Yazidigirls as slaves and sexually and physically abused them.

The couple, identified as Twana H.S. and Asia R.A. in line with German privacy law, were arrested in the southern state of Bavaria in April.

The two are also suspected to have been members of the “Islamic State” (IS) extremist group in Iraqand Syriabetween October 2015 and December 2017, the prosecutor said in a statement.

They allegedly kept a 5-year-old Yazidi girl as a slave starting in late 2015, and a 12-year-old from October 2017.

This is not an aberration. It is Islam.

France’s ‘Christian Terrorist’ Turns Out to Have Been a Muslim All Along

At first glance, the story seemed distressingly familiar: back in June 2023, a Syrian asylum seeker went on a stabbing spree at a playground in the French city of Annecy, stabbing four toddlers and two adults. There have been numerous incidents in recent years of Muslim migrants in France stabbing people in random attacks, often while screaming “Allahu akbar.”

Terry Newman: No Boxing Day joy for you, say anti-Israel mall protesters

Yesterday, as shoppers were returning unwanted presents, revelling in Boxing Day sales and enjoying the Christmas tree light show at the Toronto Eaton Centre, a group of anti-Israel protesters disrupted the joyful experience by harassing bargain-hunters and unfurling a large banner with a crude likeness of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with the words “arrest this criminal” emblazoned in red. Like the twisted image of Netanyahu, and the chants that filled the mall, nothing these protesters say or do is to be trusted.

You lost me at Multiculturalism and Diversity ….

Aviva Klompas: Jew hatred is not just a Jewish problem. It’s a Canadian problem

…This global surge in Jew-hatred is inexcusable everywhere, but its prevalence in Canada is particularly shameful. Canada was the first nation to adopt multiculturalism as an official policy in 1971, later enshrining it in law through the Canadian Multiculturalism Act of 1988. Canadians pride themselves on being champions of diversity and tolerance, yet today, what they are tolerating is violence and bigotry.

Most damningly, they have failed to recognize that Jew-hatred is not just a Jewish problem — it is a Canadian problem.

Canadians have a lot of problems. Many caused by Multiculturalism, Diversity & Tolerance.

The Liberal government declared war on its own people by actively demonizing Canadians who objected to mass immigration and the one way street of “Tolerance.”

Canadian values and heritage have been denigrated and White Canadians openly discriminated against in hiring.

The situation is so perverse, so evil that school children are labeled oppressors and racists because they have “White skin” under the NAZI like DEI programs our governments condone.

Imported Fifth Columns comprised of incompatible cultures have brought us increased violence and crime, a lowered standard of living, homelessness, unemployment, an affordability crisis, foreign conflicts fought out in our streets along with baked in antisemitism and Christianophobia. That’s how multiculturalism, diversity and tolerance have benefited Canadians.

We are treated as unwanted guests in our own home. For better than 20 years we were cowed by the threat of cancelation to the point we would not defend ourselves.

No one came to our aid, no one said “Hey maybe we shouldn’t label White people racist just for having white skin” or “You know what legalized discrimination against Whites in hiring is wrong.”

And why would our replacements help us when the scam was working so well to their benefit?

People in general are fed up at those governments that have allowed the protests to continue since that fateful Oct 7 but I do not have the sense that the Israeli-Muslim conflict is a topic of water cooler conversation any longer.

Most of the antisemitism in Canada emanates from our elites in academia and government bolstered by the Islamists they imported and not from average Canadians. The success our elites enjoyed demonizing White people was easily transferred to Jews when it came time to strike a blow for Gaza which no doubt came as a shock to their fellow travelers in the diaspora.

We can vote and yes Trudeau and his party should burn in hell but I see no savior on our horizon.

Canada has been poisoned & the culture changed for the worse. Justin’s replacements have no shared history with Canada, no appreciation of Western culture and no motivation to assimilate. I doubt Jews and the holocaust are even on their radar.

We are on the outside looking in. I doubt Canadians are much inclined to rally in the streets when no one could be bothered to rally for them.

An appeal to our alleged national belief in the magic powers of Multiculturalism, Diversity & Tolerance is nothing more than condescending out of touch virtue signaling.

Taqiya: the West should know better

Asking asylum seekers about their beliefs is a waste of time. Lying to deceive the enemy is allowed by their religion. The result is that the loss of border control is being followed by the loss of internal control.

Anyone who went to a European Christmas market in the 1990s and early 2000s would never have thought that their life could be in danger. Those days are gone.

In October we discovered that the killer who murdered the children in Southport, England, was not a slightly crazy Rwandan Christian refugee, as the English government and all the mainstream media had assured us, but a terrorist with an Al Qaeda manual in his house and chemical material to make a bomb. For four months they kept the truth hidden. Why?

The Magdeburg Christmas market attack will change Germany

Whatever motivated the perpetrator to do what he did, his actions were an attack on an intrinsic Western institution

More than 200 people were injured and at least five lost their lives after a man plowed a car into crowds at a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg last night. Among those who were indiscriminately murdered was a small child.

Like many Germans, I felt a deep, burning anger rising in me when I heard about the incident. It immediately brought back sickening memories of the 2016 Christmas market attack in Berlin in which thirteen people were killed and dozens injured. My sister worked very closely nearby that day. I remember texting “Are you OK?’ with a shaky hand and waiting agonizing minutes before her reply finally came. It was sheer luck that she and her colleagues had decided not to go to the Christmas market that day.

For Syria’s Christians, Christmas is a time to grapple with hope and fear

DAMASCUS — This Christmas morning in Syria’s capital, Christians dressed in their finest clothes, attended church and participated in the annual parade through the ancient part of the city. Yet beneath the holiday cheer lay a heavy sense of anxiety.

Over the past 13 years, many have fled the country, leaving those who remain feeling particularly vulnerable as an Islamist group assumes power. Before the war began in 2011, Syria was home to more than 1.5 million Christians. Today, Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II of the Syriac Orthodox Church estimates that number has fallen to around 400,000.

Christmas market killer was ‘undercover jihadist’ claims AfD leader

The far-Right Alternative for Germany party has claimed the Magdeburg Christmas market killer is “a closet jihadist and undercover Islamist” despite his avowed anti-Muslim views.

Alice Weidel, the co-leader of the AfD, made the claims at a mass rally outside the cathedral in Magdeburg, near where Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, 50, a Saudi psychiatrist, ploughed his rented SUV into the crowd at the Christmas market on Friday.

It’s not a conspiracy theory.

Magdeburg was not a far-Right attack

Last Friday’s atrocity at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany had all the hallmarks of a jihadi attack. It was lethal, indiscriminate and utterly horrifying, transforming a boringly familiar object — a car — into a weapon of mass murder. Jihadist groups have been calling for such attacks for well over a decade now, and scores of their supporters have carried them out with deadly effect. A very similar attack to the one in Magdeburg happened in 2016 in Berlin, when Tunisian-born Anis Amri rammed a truck into a group of pedestrians, killing 12 and wounding 56 others.
