Sectarian Islamic politics – the future of the Western world?

It is already the case in the UK. Looking at the situation in Britain’s government, one can only ask: Where does it go from here?

Looking at England today, Paul Verlaine would rewrite: “Je suis l’Empire à la fin de la décadence”.

The great Jewish historian David Abulafia writes in The Telegraph that the “survival of the United Kingdom as a beacon of freedom” is at risk. The warning of one of the leading experts on the Middle Ages should not go unnoticed.

After 14 years of Conservative flop, Labour’s long flop begins.

As the Olympics nears, Paris puts 75,000 troops on the streets

A scrum of disappointed tourists stared, wistfully, through the maze of metal fences lining the River Seine. Ahead of them, Notre Dame cathedral and other Parisian treasures lay, tantalisingly, out of reach.

“We don’t have a code,” said a woman from Mexico, watching others – armed with the requisite QR security code – pass, with an approving beep, through a police checkpoint.

Further downstream, beside the Eiffel Tower, a weary couple trailing large suitcases performed a slow U-turn on a crowded pavement.

What a grotesque state of affairs.

Canada’s acceptance of Palestinian refugees from Gaza is setting off alarm bells south of the border.

In a letter Wednesday to U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, United States Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) expressed concern over the program, which he warned could lead to an increased risk of allowing individuals with ties to terror groups easy access to the United States.

German Court Rules Syrians Can Be Deported

A court in Germany has ruled that there is no longer a general danger to all civilians in Syria, and that a convicted Syrian people smuggler can legally be deported to his home country. The ruling could significantly impact deportation cases, because the German government has so far classified Syria as an unsafe country of origin and rejects deporting failed asylum seekers there.

Austria: Teachers flee Vienna schools over mass migration, with 20 teachers quitting on a ‘peak day’

Teachers are quitting schools in Vienna in droves, with up to 20 teachers quitting per day due to the extremely stressful environments featuring mostly migrant children, many of whom do not speak German or very little German.

According to a study by the Austrian Statistical Office, around 70 percent of school-age children in Vienna do not speak German in their everyday life. Now, the rise of mass immigration has created growing problems in the Austrian school system, with the Vienna school system threatening to collapse.

Update – Canadian gas station attendant and British preacher convicted in U.K. terrorism case

… Ms. Moreland was asked why Mr. Hussein wasn’t arrested and charged in Canada. She said each national investigation was at a different stage in 2023, but Mr. Hussein’s trip to London presented an opportunity to have him arrested in Britain and face charges under its terrorism legislation. Unlike the U.K., neither ALM nor ITS is banned in Canada.

Still bleeding through a white bandage wrapped around his head, Mr Rajabalizoda was soon trotted out in a Moscow court as one of the alleged perpetrators.

Church Arson France – Parish of St. Paul in Corbeil-Essonnes

Biden’s anti-Israel policies have failed to capture the Dearborn vote

Ever since October 7, Biden has been doing his best to put the brakes on Israel’s efforts against Hamas. By doing so, he turned what should have been a short war that destroyed a tyrannical enemy and probably freed the Gazans as much as it did the Israelis into a long war with a higher-than-necessary death toll on both sides. He did this to placate the pro-Hamas wing of the Democrat party, especially the voters in Dearborn, Michigan. However, his deadly efforts have failed. Dearborn hates Biden.

Calgary: Evidence closes in trial of Muslim terrorism suspect without him testifying

The evidentiary portion of Calgary terrorism suspect Jamal Borhot’s lengthy trial concluded Thursday without the accused testifying in the case.

But defence lawyer Pawel Milczarek said he didn’t put his client on the witness stand because of the vagueness of the Crown’s case against him.

“Every time the defence has asked for the Crown to formally outline its position about what it is alleging Mr. Borhot did or what activity of Islamic State he allegedly enhanced over this period of 11 months, they have refused,” Milczarek said outside court, reading from a prepared statement.

Germany has cut the benefits of asylum seekers who refused to pick rubbish in the aftermath of heavy flooding in east Germany for less than a pound an hour.

… Mamad Mohamad, from the migrant network Lamsa, criticised the court’s decision, suggesting the work order was exploitative.
