I don’t think many Americans realize how difficult it is to come to America legally.
Among my own friends, I know an academic who has spent the past year in legal limbo, not allowed to work between teaching positions and constantly waiting on whether he can stay in America or not.
In Georgia, I know a couple — the husband is American, the wife British — who can still not legalize as a couple, despite years of marriage and years of being together, who want to get themselves to America.
Sweden? Canada is much closer and near as shitty.
More than 20 years ago, the Mackenzie Institute newsletter identified a bizarre and deadly defect in then-Palestinian leader and terrorist Yasser Arafat: “an impulsive urge for trying to take the pot with a pair of fours.” But it’s not just him. It’s on display today from Gaza to Toronto, and we need to stand up to it.
Admittedly Canadian pro-Hamas protesters could be forgiven for thinking they’re strong. They appear to have the police on their side, and much of the political class including that jangling dunce Jagmeet Singh. But I think it’s as bad a misread of the situation on the ground as Arafat’s belief he was about to destroy Israel.
In the name of tolerance, diversity, and inclusion, some public school teachers in the Frankfurt metropolitan area in Germany are unilaterally imposing Islam—arguably the world’s most intolerant religion—on their pre-teen students.
For the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which began March 10th, a pair of primary school teachers took it upon themselves to prohibit fifth-grade students from drinking water in their classrooms out of consideration for a few Muslim pupils fasting.
You know what it’s like in London, there’s never a mosque around when you need one. I recall the Muslim takeover of SW1 late last year, when thousands of pro-Palestine supporters found themselves caught short, and decided that Downing Street would have to do for a spot of al fresco prayer. As the Adhan blared at a dizzying volume, the Old Bill watched on meekly from the periphery; an arrest about as forthcoming as a bacon sandwich. I remember thinking then, this was not a good look for Britain.
Nobody, to my knowledge, has ever accused Rep. Ilhan Omar of being a nationalist. But if her recently surfaced comments about Somalia are any indication, she is, in fact, an ardent one — just not for the nation of America.
A few months ago, controversy broke out surrounding comments Omar made during a speech about Somalia (delivered to a predominantly Somalian crowd in Minneapolis): “We are people of brotherhood, people of blood, people who know themselves to be Somalis, to be Muslims,” Omar thundered, according to the English-translation subtitles. “We are a gifted set of individuals with a patriotic spirit that acknowledges our homeland and strives to protect it.” In a shockingly candid admission, Omar openly bragged to the crowd about her ambition to serve the interests of a foreign nation while ostensibly representing American voters in the U.S. government: “The U.S. government will do what we tell the U.S. government to do,” she boasted. “That is the confidence we need to have as Somalis.… For as long as I am in Congress, no one will take over the seas belonging to the nation of Somalia and the United States will not support others who seek to steal from us.”
One in five Muslim prisoners is white, official figures show, amid fears that Islamist gangs are driving conversions.
Ministry of Justice (MoJ) data has revealed there were 15,594 Muslim prisoners in jails in England and Wales in September 2023, accounting for 18 per cent of all inmates despite comprising only 6.5 per cent of the population.
Of these, 3,096 or 19.9 per cent were white, according to the MoJ figures. This is nearly three times the rate in the general Muslim population, where 7.8 per cent are recorded as white.
Germany’s Federal Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday said two suspected supporters of the so-called “Islamic State” (IS) jihadist militia had been arrested in the central German state of Thuringia.
Prosecutors allege that the two Afghan nationals had hatched a plot to carry out an attack near the Swedish legislature in retaliation for Quran book burnings in the country.
Nine people, including two minors, have been arrested after a group of about 50 people attacked a police station near the Paris 2024 Olympic village with heavy-duty rocket fireworks, the French capital’s top police official has said.
The attack on Sunday evening in La Courneuve followed the death last Wednesday of a teenager after a police chase. Authorities announced a reinforced police presence across the northern Paris suburb.
“Police have a strong presence there today and that will be even more the case during the Olympics, when we will have a massive presence everywhere in the Paris region, and I have no fear on that level,” the Paris police chief, Laurent Nuñez, said on Monday.

Successive British governments, Labour and Tory, have spoken out against racism while passing regulations which have only served to embed it.
Tony Blair did not seem to care for our nation state. He preferred governance from unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats both here and in Brussels. It suited his brand of left-wing politics for EU nations to lose their values and identity: far easier to hand more power to Europe if national interests and cultures could not get in the way.
Mass migration, at least in the short-term, also worked economically. With an eye on the single most important metric to judge prosperity, New Labour realised immigration would boost growth. With growth in the population would come growth in GDP, a demand for housing and infrastructure and cheap imported labour to power British business. This merry go round would apparently keep working as long as the population kept growing. But in reality, it was a Ponzi scheme.

Responding to the Government’s new definition of extremism, the Muslim Association of Britain called the move “cynical… Orwellian” and an “erosion of civil liberties”.
The response was a case study in how Islamists use the language of liberalism to pursue illiberal objectives. For the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB) is one of several organisations declared extremist by Michael Gove in Parliament last week. Previously, an expert government report called it “the Muslim Brotherhood in the UK”.

News that the U.S. will build a “temporary pier” in the Mediterranean Sea to facilitate transfer of humanitarian aid to the Hamas-occupied Gaza Strip should tickle the déjà vu receptors of anyone who was politically aware at the dawn of the 21st century.
After the worst terrorist attack against the U.S. in its 225-year history on September 11, 2001, “the world” reacted sympathetically at first. But it didn’t last long. After the worst terrorist attack against Israel in its 75-year history on October 7, 2023, the world’s sympathy was as ephemeral as an Ivy League “pro-Palestine” hunger strike.
The U.S. and Israel were consoled and pitied – until they fought back. Then they were suddenly portrayed as aggressive colonizing villains, each seeking to impose its version of “empire” on an oppressed “other” while meting out “collective punishment.”

Two weeks ago, I was hearing a disturbing message from two young Canadians while having lunch at a downtown Toronto cafe.
They were questioning whether it’s still safe to be a Jew in Canada.
This week, I was sitting with two rabbis in Thornhill as they raised the same questions for themselves and their congregations.
I don’t blame them for feeling that way.
But to be clear politicians count votes not principles and the police are a militia who follow the orders of our pols.
Neither politicians or the police were ever your friend.
That cutline is insulting. I haven’t abandoned anyone. Also, white Christians have been subject to systemic demonization for years, and there’s been no organized response from the Jewish community. Should I feel “abandoned” by them?

Some in the Jewish community have a legitimate beef with our politicians & police, they saw the Islamist writing on the wall. Others called non-Jews like myself Islamophobes or racists for warning about Islamist migration. Few spoke up about DEI when whites were the public target

In London for a short visit this week, I decided to take a look at the latest demonstration organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) against what it refers to as the ‘genocide in Gaza.’ The weekly mass demonstrations in the British capital in support of the Palestinian side in the Gaza war have acquired significance beyond the specific context of British foreign policy.
