Everyone should have the right to insult Islam

It might soon be illegal in Denmark to make fun of Islam. Seriously. In response to a spate of Koran burnings – in both Denmark and its neighbour, Sweden – the Danish foreign ministry has issued an extraordinary statement. A statement that should chill the blood of all who believe in free speech. The state might soon have to start intervening, it said, in situations where ‘other countries, cultures and religions are being insulted’. In short, a Dane’s right to mock all nations, gods, prophets and ideas might have to be sacrificed at the altar of protecting people’s feelings. This represents a deadly blow to freedom of expression.

Sweden and Denmark bow to pressure over Quran book burnings

In 1766, Sweden enacted its landmark Press Freedom Act, becoming the first country in the world to implement such protections. In 1770, Denmark outpaced this achievement by formally abolishing all forms of censorship. Despite intermittent setbacks, these pioneering acts cultivated a vibrant culture of free expression. The Scandinavian countries evolved into global symbols of democracy, freedom, equality and prosperity, underpinned by socially liberal and secular values. However, on Sunday Denmark and Sweden undermined these core values by yielding to pressure from some of the world’s most politically authoritarian and religiously oppressive states.

UK grooming gangs Part 1: How minor girls as young as 9 were groomed, raped, beaten, and killed by Muslim predators across cities as authorities turned a blind eye

An investigation by the Newcastle police codenamed Operation Sanctuary was launched in 2013 and it revealed that more than 700 girls were reportedly enslaved and abused for years. Minor girls were taken to parties and ladened with drugs like cocaine, cannabis, alcohol, or mephedrone before being raped and abused.

Arguing on behalf of Insar Hussain, one of the eight accused in the Rochdale child sexual abuse case, Meyrick Williams on 27th July said the victim, called Girl A, displayed “a vivid imagination”. The trial in the Rochdale grooming gang scandal has been ongoing at the Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester, United Kingdom. Eight men, all but one being Muslims, are being tried for raping minor girls over a period of four years. But the chilling facts of the case tell that the abuse gangs are not new to the UK and the exploitation has been ongoing unabated for decades.

Denmark studying ‘legal’ options to implement Sharia law & stop Quran burnings

Violent Muslims in Denmark – every western nation has had enough of this shit on their streets

The Danish government is looking into “a legal tool” that would enable authorities to prevent protesters outside embassies from burning the Muslim holy book, the Quran, in the Nordic country.

Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen told the national broadcaster DR on Sunday that the government was studying the scope for intervention to prevent such acts.

The news comes as many Muslim countries have protested the desecration of the Quran at demonstrations held in Denmark and Sweden in recent weeks.

It always makes sense to give in to a mob.

Muslim nations call for boycott of Swedish products

The diplomatic fallout over the burning of the Quran outside a mosque in Sweden is threatening to escalate into a trade war after calls from Muslims in the Middle East and North Africa came to boycott Swedish products.

Last month, a 37-year-old Iraqi refugee who wants the book banned tore out pages from the Quran and set them alight outside of Stockholm’s central mosque. A key point of contention is the fact that the protest was given the go-ahead by a Swedish court.
