OTTAWA – A senior executive with Public Safety Canada says federal officials have ramped up their monitoring of Tehran’s threats against members of the Iranian diaspora in Canada.
Sébastien Aubertin-Giguère, who oversees Canada’s response to foreign interference, says Iran and other countries have intensified their pressure tactics targeting their critics abroad.

Counter-terror police have arrested seven people suspected of plotting an arson attack on a Jewish target.
The arrests, in Harpenden and Stevenage, Hertfordshire, and in Birmingham, were part of a proactive investigation into an alleged conspiracy to commit arson.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said that while the intended target was believed to be related to the Jewish community, the specific location was not known.
Nigel Farage has been urged to drop a Reform UK candidate who called for “every Muslim” to be deported from Britain because the public cannot tell them apart from terrorists.
Kate Michaela, who is standing in Adur district council, in West Sussex, on May 7, shared several offensive posts, including one that said “every Muslim must leave the UK by 2030”.
The Reform candidate also shared a post by Tommy Robinson, the far-Right activist, describing Yvette Cooper, the Foreign Secretary, as a “dumb b—-” who was allowing Islam to “take over Britain”.

An ISIS recruiter who is being released from prison remains radicalized and poses a danger to the public, according to a Parole Board of Canada decision.
The ruling obtained by Global News said that while Ashton Larmond was now eligible for statutory release, special conditions were needed to protect public safety.
Larmond was arrested during a 2015 RCMP counterterrorism operation. He has now served two-thirds of his sentence and therefore must be released from custody.

In a move that has reignited the debate over free speech and government overreach, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has officially intervened to block U.S.-based MAGA influencer Valentina Gomez from entering the United Kingdom.
Gomez, a 26-year-old Christian conservative originally from Colombia, was scheduled to address the “Unite the Kingdom” rally in London on May 16th—an event organized by populist figure Tommy Robinson (Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) and expected to draw significant crowds following the 100,000-strong turnout in September.
Police are “assessing a number of discarded items” in London’s Kensington Gardens after a video was shared online in which a group claimed to have targeted the nearby Embassy of Israel with drones carrying dangerous substances.
The Metropolitan Police said the embassy had not been attacked and officers were investigating the source and authenticity of the footage.

The European Commission, the unelected executive arm of the European Union, assured Europeans in 2019 that it was not spending their hard-earned taxpayer money on supporting the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). In response to a question by Charlie Weimers, a Swedish Member of European Parliament, about the Commission’s funding of the MB, European Commission Vice President Margaritis Schinas said:
“[T]he European Commission does not finance extremists. On the contrary, we have very strong oversight and audit of our financing… and if you have evidence to the contrary, I would be very interested to have it.”
It’s no secret that radical Islam is an insidious ideology that threatens the Judeo-Christian societal order. Not only are we dealing with an Islamist foe in Iran, but we can also see what is happening in places like the UK and other parts of Europe, where Muslims are running roughshod over society.
The Islamists have their sights set on the U.S. as well. Witness Minnesota and Michigan, where pockets of Muslims are transforming their neighborhoods and cities. About a year and a half ago, I drove to Milledgeville, Ga., near the center of the state, for a concert. On one of the sidewalks in this quiet, quintessentially Southern college town, I saw a Muslim family whose mother wore the full burqa. All you could see were her eyes.
A quiet surge is reshaping American courts in states such as Georgia and Missouri to prevent the encroach of Sharia law.
State legislators are advancing “American Laws for American Courts” (ALAC) and related measures. These laws attempt to keep the U.S. and state constitutions as the sole legal authorities. The message to Americans is clear: no foreign codes and no parallel tribunals. This effort addresses real risks in family law, contracts, child custody, arbitration, and other legal conflicts.
