James Woods: Britain Disarmed its People and Now Nears ‘Islamist Abyss‘

Actor James Woods used a Sunday night X post to note that Britain went-all in on disarming its people in the late 20th century and now is “standing on the edge of the Islamist abyss.”

Woods wrote, “Our friends, the Brits, went from relinquishing their right to bear arms in 1997 to standing on the edge of the Islamist abyss today.”

Pope Leo To Visit Algeria Amidst Increasing Christian Persecution

Pope Leo To Visit Algeria Amidst Increasing Christian Persecution

The Vatican has announced that as part of his upcoming African tour, Pope Leo XIV will visit Algeria 13–15 April.

Pope Leo XIV’s upcoming trip is a historic event. No acting pontiff has ever visited Algeria, a former stronghold of ancient Christianity whose current population of 48 million is about 99% Muslim.

2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the 1996 attack on an Algerian monastery in which seven monks were kidnapped and beheaded by an Islamic group. Today, religious freedom has significantly deteriorated in the country, particularly impacting Algeria’s roughly 156,000 Christians. Algeria is currently ranked as the 20th most oppressive nation for Christians by the human rights organization Open Doors.

Labour’s Islamophobia ban spells the death of English liberty

Labour’s Islamophobia ban spells the death of English liberty

The bigots who hounded the Batley Grammar teacher into hiding have been rewarded with a blasphemy law.

There is a schoolteacher in England whose name I cannot tell you, because he was forced to change it. In March 2021, he showed his year nine class at West Yorkshire’s Batley Grammar School a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad – a reproduction of the infamous Charlie Hebdo cartoon from 2015 – as part of a lesson on blasphemy. It was five months after Samuel Paty, a French teacher who had conducted a similar lesson, was beheaded by a jihadist in a suburb of Paris. One might have expected, in the aftermath of a colleague’s decapitation, some institutional solidarity. One would have been naive.

What happened to the Batley blasphemy row teacher fanatics threatened to kill for showing cartoon of Mohammed in free speech lesson?

On the official GoFundMe page where his supporters have raised more than £116,000, the young father is known simply as ‘The Teacher’. Perhaps a better title might be ‘The Forgotten Teacher’.

Last week marked the fifth anniversary of an extraordinary – and shameful – episode in modern British history that saw this man, then a respected member of staff at Batley Grammar School in West Yorkshire, forced into hiding, fearing for his own life and for those of his children.

There, shockingly, he remains. Today he is living under a new identity, having fled not just the classroom, but his home, his town, his rugby club, his entire previous life.

Britain’s top private schools in Middle East teaching pupils to beat their wives

Britain’s top private schools in Middle East teaching pupils to beat their wives

Harrow School has many centuries-old traditions that make it a jewel in the crown of British education: straw hats, black tailcoats and its own form of archaic slang, where “beaks” means teachers and “the ducker” is the swimming pool.

Soon it will need to grapple with some new customs. Sir Winston Churchill’s alma mater is opening two schools in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this summer, where Muslim pupils recite the Koran and learn about beating their wives.

A Quebec judge says Canada cannot have a separate judicial system for immigrants who come into conflict with the law amid a national debate over the role immigration status plays in sentencing.

Provincial court Judge Dennis Galiatsatos made the observation in the case of a married immigrant in Montreal who harassed his former girlfriend for six months. The man wanted her as a second wife, which he considered acceptable under Sharia Law.

What Happens If States Start Codifying Muslim Holidays In Their Calendars?

What Happens If States Start Codifying Muslim Holidays In Their Calendars?

Should California codify Islamic religious observances into state-recognized holidays in the United States?

As a nation, the essence of who we are as a People is rooted in our Judeo-Christian values and principles, dating back to the Magna Carta. This shared moral vocabulary has shaped Western thinking since America’s founding. Why, then, would any State in the Union formally endorse or incorporate into our educational and other public institutions a religious doctrine with practices antithetical to the belief system?

The truth about Sadiq Khan’s Lawless London: Data reveals how crime levels have soared in the capital since Labour mayor came to power – despite his insistence it is a ‘safe city’

Crime in London has soared since Labour mayor Sir Sadiq Khan came to power despite his claims that the capital is a ‘safe city’, figures show.

The Mayor of London, who succeeded Boris Johnson in 2016 and was re-elected in 2021 and 2024, this week urged British diplomats around the world to challenge ‘disinformation and lies’ about the capital, amplified by Donald Trump.

Sir Sadiq boasted on Tuesday that homicide rates were at their lowest since records began and pointed out that there had been a decline in 2025 in incidents of phone-snatching, for which the capital has become notorious in recent years.

France’s Muslim gathering ban overturned by courts

France’s Muslim gathering ban overturned by courts

A major gathering of Muslims in northern Paris is going ahead as planned after a French court overturned a government bid to ban it.

The Paris police department argued that the four-day Annual Encounter of Muslims of France was a security threat because it could be a target of terrorism.

But the organisers – the Muslims of France (MF) association – sought an emergency injunction to let the event go ahead, arguing that a ban would be a breach of basic liberties.
