The Danish parliament on Thursday approved legislation that would effectively prohibit Quran burnings in the northern European country.
The law criminalizes the “inappopriate treatment of writings with significant importance for a recognized religious community.”
The bill was passed with 94 votes in favor by the Danish Parliament, also known as the 179-member Folketing. Seventy-seven votes were cast against the legislation.

Once again, controversy has erupted over the identity of the assailant, which the media and the political class were at pains to conceal in order to avoid facing up to the harsh realities of Islamism and immigration.

The German tourist suffered several blows to the head, back, and shoulders. Two other people were injured in the attack. One of them, an English tourist, was hit in the eye with a hammer.

Police used a stun gun to stop the man who is being questioned by anti-terror police.
