For all that advocacy and much more, Berger was invested with the Order of Canada.
Hamas Wants UN To Condemn Wilders for ‘Violating International Law’
Dutch populist firebrand Geert Wilders, fresh after winning the Dutch national elections last week, is facing backlash from the terrorist group Hamas, along with several Arab states, for suggesting that Palestinians should be relocated to Jordan as a means to solve the ongoing conflict between the Palestinians and Israel.
Hamas has called on the international community as well as the United Nations to condemn Wilders for breaking international law, seven weeks after the group murdered around 1,200 Israelis in a surprise terror attack.
Why Aren’t Women’s Groups Condemning Hamas?
‘We have come so far in believing survivors of rape and assault in so many situations,” wrote the former Meta executive and founder of LeanIn.org, Sheryl Sandberg, in a recent CNN op-ed. And yet, Western organizations supposedly devoted to women’s issues have spent the weeks since the 10/7 massacre of Israeli civilians — a slaughter that featured the methodical rape, abuse, and torture of Hamas’s female victims — laying low. In conflicts elsewhere around the globe, Sandberg observed, evidence that rape has been used as a weapon of warfare “evoked a loud response from global women’s organizations.” But similar crimes committed by Hamas have not.
Swedish PM rebukes far-right leader who said mosques should be flattened
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has condemned far-right Sweden Democrats leader Jimmie Åkesson for saying mosques should be demolished, calling the statement “disrespectful.”
“In Sweden, we don’t tear down places of worship,” Kristersson said on Monday, Swedish outlet SVT reported.
Åkesson came under fire on Saturday for saying that Sweden should ban the establishment of new mosques, while suggesting it should also demolish existing ones in the country.

Jewish community centre in C.D.N.-N.D.G. targeted by firebomb
The Montreal police arson squad will launch an investigation after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a Jewish community centre on Décarie Blvd. near Vézina St. early Monday.
Police said they were informed of the incident at 1 a.m. and damage to the building was minor. There were no reported injuries.
CAHN spokesperson Bernie Farber said the perpetrator was likely one of the 17,000 white supremacist groups operating in Canada.

Samuel Paty, a history and geography teacher, was killed on Oct. 16, 2020, near his school in a northwest Paris suburb by an 18-year-old of Chechen origin who had become radicalized. The attacker was in turn shot dead by police.

Why No Arab Government Wants Gaza, the West Bank, or Palestinians

While Israel may retain control for the foreseeable future, Israel wants no part of Gaza. Its government left Gaza in 2005, taking with it every Jew residing in Gaza and even every Jew buried there. And Israel isn’t alone.
Egypt also wants no part of Gaza, which it ruled until Israel took it in the 1967 Six-Day War. For Egypt, ruling Gaza once was enough. Despite pressure from the United States to take Gaza back, even temporarily after Israel rids it of Hamas terrorists, Egypt has refused. Egypt has also refused to provide refuge to Palestinians fleeing the war in Gaza.
And Israel had better drop that damn idea.
