Jewish students at Western University react after posters of hostages pulled down

Gotta love the CBC for blurring out the perp faces.

Jewish students at Western University are speaking out after posters of Israelis being held hostage by Hamas were pulled down from campus buildings in an incident captured on video.

The video posted this week on X — the social media platform formerly known as Twitter — shows two young men pulling posters off the wall at Western’s University Community Centre building, then ripping up the posters and throwing them in the garbage.

Crackdown on extremism to tackle ‘permissive environment’ for anti-Jewish hate

Move could see funding to charities and mosques whose leaders or guest speakers have voiced hateful views cut off

Michael Gove and Suella Braverman have ordered a crackdown on extremism amid warnings that Britain has become a “permissive environment” for anti-Jewish hate.

Civil servants in the department run by Mr Gove, the Communities Secretary, are drawing up a new official definition of extremism. The move could see Whitehall, councils and police forces cutting off funding to charities and mosques whose leaders or guest speakers have voiced hateful views.

Separately, Home Office officials are believed to be examining potential changes to terrorism legislation, such as the expansion of some definitions in existing laws.

Should have been done years ago.

Sweden To Deport Quran-Burning Iraqi

Iraqi immigrant Salwan Momika, who became well-known across Sweden this year after carrying out several protests in which he burned copies of the Islamic Quran, often causing violent reactions in Sweden and abroad, now faces deportation as authorities claim he provided them with incorrect information.

The Swedish Migration Agency announced this week that Momika would be deported back to his native country as the board is revoking the three-year residency permit that Momika was granted in April of 2021 along with his refugee status and, according to a report from state-run broadcaster SVT, will ban him from entering Sweden for the next five years.

Temporary foreign workers in Canada have skyrocketed over the past decade, according to StatsCan. Here’s a breakdown

The overall number of temporary residents reporting income in Canada has increased close to 150 per cent between 2010 and 2020, a new Statistics Canada study found.

That growth is being driven by postgraduate work permit holders and international students with study permits.

The federal government runs two programs for temporary foreign workers and residents: the Temporary Foreign Worker program and the International Mobility program.

Another scam run by corporate interests to flood the country with cheap labour and benefit their bottom line.

The Lost Territories of the West: How Our Cities All Became Parisian Suburbs

Two years ago, a group of retired French generals gave scandal by publishing an open letter warning the Macron government that it was setting France up for civil war with its softness on both ‘wokeness’ and radical Islam.

[I]f nothing is done, laxity will continue to spread inexorably in society, ultimately causing an explosion and the intervention of our active comrades in a perilous mission to protect our civilizational values and safeguard our compatriots on national territory. We see there is no longer time to procrastinate, otherwise tomorrow the civil war will put an end to this growing chaos, and the deaths, for which you will bear responsibility, will number in the thousands.

The French government criticized these generals as out of line, which prompted a follow-up letter from active-duty soldiers, writing anonymously in defense of the older ones. Those soldiers said that decline such as they were seeing in France “precedes collapse,” and that the real threat to France was not from military men speaking out, but from “civil insurrection.”

Does the Met know what jihad means?

Ever since the atrocities in Israel more than two weeks ago, I have had one main thought. Yes, Israel has its problems. But we also have ours. Subsequent weeks have borne that instinct out. For years I have noticed that in all the wars and exchanges involving Israel – no matter the actual size or scale of the conflict – the reaction at home grows worse each time, not least in our institutions.

Last weekend there were massive demonstrations against Israel in London, as in cities across the West. And I say ‘against Israel’ with care. These protests have not been dedicated to finding a compromise between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Few acknowledged Hamas’s massacre. Still the crowds just turn up, as they are expected to again this Saturday.

Emboldened Global Jihad Is Final Nail in Coffin of Mass Migration Delusion

It has become obvious that assimilation of huge numbers of non-Western immigrants into Western society is simply not working.

The weeks since the Oct. 7 Hamas pogrom in Israel, in which the most Jews were slaughtered in a single day than at any time since World War II, have seen an astonishing rise in global Jew-hatred. One might have thought that the mass carnage and unspeakable barbarism of the Hamas Holocaust would instead galvanize a concerted pushback against Islamic jihadism, but it is the ancient scourge of antisemitism — and not so-called Islamophobia — that is once again the world’s most politically correct and fashionable form of bigotry.

Private government emails reveal Palestinian Canadians’ frustrations with Global Affairs Canada: ‘Don’t know when I will die’

OTTAWA— “I am still in Gaza and don’t know when I will die.”

“Children are hungry..scared..thirsty..sick. Need ur government help to get them out of Rafah.”

“Why is the government silent!!! Get us out already.”

Amazing how many “Canadians” found the world’s largest concentration camp a pleasant place to settle. Consider yourself officially Gazan.

Hamas Terror Is Testing the Moral Credibility of Canadian Progressives

Hamas support rally Toronto

On October 16, Canadian politician Jagmeet Singh declared that Israel’s military was sowing “the seeds of genocide” in Gaza. Singh, the leader of a small left-wing party that’s been propping up Justin Trudeau’s minority Liberal government since 2021, has a history of making this kind of unfortunate comment. Indeed, one of his unofficial roles within the progressive Canadian milieu is to confer legitimacy on dubious claimshoaxes, fake statistics, and conspiracy theories. He’s never had to pay any significant political price for spreading this kind of misinformation, and so likely believed that his smear on Israel would be passed over in similar fashion.

Good piece, but Jonathan remains under the sway of his moderate Muslim friends who no doubt have reassured him the Hamas supporters are just a fringe minority within the Muslim community.

Denmark Aims a Wrecking Ball at ‘Non-Western’ Neighborhoods

After they fled Iran decades ago, Nasrin Bahrampour and her husband settled in a bright public housing apartment overlooking the university city of Aarhus, Denmark. They filled it with potted plants, family photographs and Persian carpets, and raised two children there.

Now they are being forced to leave their home under a government program that effectively mandates integration in certain low-income neighborhoods where many “non-Western” immigrants live.

In practice, that means thousands of apartments will be demolished, sold to private investors or replaced with new housing catering to wealthier (and often nonimmigrant) residents, to increase the social mix.
