According to Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the US House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, whistleblowers have revealed “serious concerns among DHS personnel regarding a longstanding connection between the Chinese Communist Party and Minnesota Governor Timothy James Walz.”

“I say this as someone who’s known her since 1997: She’s trying,” Hala Hijazi assured a panel at an anti-Israel DNC event that once she was president, Kamala would crack down on Israel.
Hijazi, a Jordanian immigrant who has roots in Gaza, is close to Kamala and they both came up through the ranks together. The Muslim official and fundraiser had worked as a special assistant to former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown whom she described as a “mentor”.

On his political talk show Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO, comedian Bill Maher slammed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s participation in a voter engagement event with black men, set for Friday night.
‘This is not a good sign when you have an African American candidate [Kamala Harris], and yet you’re needing to bolster support among black men,’ Maher said in his monologue.
A devastated Bill Maher is sad to report that things aren't “looking that great for the Democrats.”

Maher pointed out that Obama said “no scolding,” and now he's doing exactly that, lecturing “brothas” to vote for Kamala Harris.

Second gentleman Doug Emhoff says claims that he “forcefully” slapped his then-girlfriend in 2012 are a “distraction” – but did not deny the allegations in a new interview that aired Friday.
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough gave Emhoff an opportunity to respond to several “tabloid stories about your personal life.” Reporting from the Daily Mail has claimed Emhoff slapped his then-girlfriend during the Cannes Film Festival more than ten years ago, with sources telling the outlet he hit the unnamed woman so hard that she “spun around.” The story, which is based on claims from several of the unnamed women’s friends as she declined to speak with the outlet, suggested he may have hit her in a moment of jealousy after he believed she had been flirting with a valet.

Vice President Kamala Harris has sparked controversy over her latest Vogue cover, with the publication featuring a profile declaring her the ‘candidate for our times.’
The democratic presidential nominee posed in a Gabriela Hearst suit and her infamous Tiffany earrings for the October digital issue of the fashion magazine, but it wasn’t her fashion choices – or polices – that had people up in arms.
Users took to social media to comment on the apparent heavy airbrushing of Harris, 59, on the cover, released on Friday.
In the early days of Kamala Harris’s campaign, her public appearances were meticulously scripted and tightly controlled. When she finally stepped into more open interviews, she failed to seize the moment to do what was crucial. Polls have shown that voters want a different direction for the country, and despite her claiming to be the “change” candidate, she’s avoiding creating distance between herself and the unpopular Biden-Harris administration.
It may cost her dearly.
I do not have a high opinion of Kamala Harris, and I never have. I think she’s a dishonest, vapid, opportunistic cipher who, in any serious country, would be considered ineligible to run a Post Office, let alone to manage the executive branch of federal government. But I must confess that even I have been astonished by how badly Harris has screwed up during Hurricane Milton. Perhaps this is what inevitably happens when you’re accustomed to throwing any allegation you can think up out into the ether and watching the press turn it into a scandal that benefits you, but . . . well, really? Trying to take on the Governor of Florida during one of the worst hurricanes in recent memory? Even the mafia-esque Longshoremen’s union declined to do that.

DeSantis rips Harris again for butting into Milton response: ‘No role in this process’
Kamala Harris had an obvious hot microphone moment during a briefing on Hurricane Milton.
Donald Trump’s campaign and critics on X are accusing the vice president of being fed what to say during the briefing on Wednesday.
While National Weather Service Director Ken Graham was providing information on the storm, Harris could be seen covering her mouth awkwardly and heard saying: ‘It’s a live broadcast.’

I am discovering that one of the dangers of writing a newsletter for NR is being constantly sandbagged by events after the fact. The Carnival of Fools gets published on Tuesday mornings but goes to the copy-editors by early Monday afternoon at the latest. This means that the majority of the drafting is done on Sunday nights, and sometimes that span of a couple of days can just kill a man, especially when he’s attempting a kindness.
One of the things that struck me forcibly when I discovered the internet and began reading both leftist and conservative content is that while leftists pay lip service to feminism, many of the most ardent leftist men neither like nor respect women. Now, it appears that Kamala Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, is the living embodiment of that fundamental dislike for women.
