Amazing True Facts! Lawyer who reps ‘international students’ applying for asylum in Canada says she’s never seen a meritless claim!

… Lawyer Elizabeth Kim, who only works on immigration refugee cases, said it can take anywhere from six months to two years, from the beginning of the process to a decision. She called it a “last resort” to apply, and said lawyers often look to see if other options exist.

“If your goal is to remain in Canada, the last thing you want to do is take the course of action that’s going to give you a removal order automatically issued,” Kim said.

She said there appears to be a misunderstanding that people applying for asylum would simply prefer to stay in Canada. Instead, she said it’s that they cannot return to their home.

“I personally haven’t seen a lot of meritless claims where they’re just looking to [stay in Canada]. I don’t think I’ve seen any,” Kim said.

WARMINGTON: Brampton mayor confident road rage ‘idiots’ will soon be in cuffs

For a Brampton family it was like experiencing something out of Stephen King horror novel.

The video – posted on social media for the world to see – had the look of a scene from the Russell Crowe movie Unhinged. But this was real-life at the corner of Torbram Rd. and Sandalwood Pkwy. on Wednesday.

Thank your political representatives for destroying Canada.

The return of the Irish Right

“The transformation of Ireland over the last 60 years has sometimes felt as if a new world had landed from outer space on top of an old one,” wrote Fintan O’Toole, a commentator who is generally approving of this new status quo, in 2021. But the past weeks and months have proven that the “old” country has very different ideas about this extra-terrestrial political order. After Ireland rejected two liberal amendments to the constitution, tabled and sponsored by their government, civic disturbances on a scale not seen for generations continue. They even wear the aesthetic of an older Ireland, with youths on horseback leading a recent protest against a new asylum centre in Dublin.

Canada Should Cut Immigration to Ease Housing Crisis, Canadians Tell Federal Researchers

Canadians want the government to cut immigration to ease the housing crisis across the country, according to new focus group data.

“Asked whether they thought Canada was currently experiencing a housing crisis, all believed this to be the case,” said a Privy Council report, called Continuous Qualitative Data Collection of Canadians’ Views. The report was released on March 26, with data collected in October 2023, as first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter.

UK Government Forecaster ‘Exaggerating Benefits’ of Migration by €7 Billion

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), which creates economic forecasts used by the government, has exaggerated the financial benefits of mass migration, a think tank has claimed.

Centre for Migration Control (CMC) researchers accused the body of overestimating the tax contribution of future migrants by £6 billion (€7 billion). Robert Bates, the think tank’s research director, told The European Conservative that “nothing better exemplifies the grim political and economic consensus which has existed around mass migration more than this body.”

Mass immigration is a scam throughout western nations.

The greedy bastards who demand mass immigration to depress wages are being bit in the ass by the housing crisis they helped create

Canadian businesses say housing crisis is forcing them to boost pay: survey

Business leaders see the housing crisis as the biggest risk to the economy, a new survey from KPMG Canada shows.

It found 94 per cent of respondents agreed that high housing costs and a lack of supply are the top risk, and that housing should be a main focus in the upcoming federal budget. The survey questioned 534 businesses.

Housing issues are forcing businesses to boost pay to better attract talent and budget for higher labour costs, agreed 87 per cent of respondents.

Canada’s population hits 41M months after breaking 40M threshold

Nine months after reaching a population of 40 million, Canada has cracked a new threshold.

As of Wednesday morning, it’s estimated 41 million people now call the country home, according to Statistics Canada’s live population tracker.

The speed at which Canada’s population is growing was also reflected in new data released Wednesday by the federal agency: between Jan. 1 2023 and Jan. 1 2024, Canada added 1,271,872 inhabitants, a 3.2 per cent growth rate — the highest since 1957.

The Liberals broke the immigration system at high speed. They’re repairing it by baby steps

They filled the pool with a firehose. Now they’re bailing with thimbles.

After years of the Trudeau government flooring the growth accelerator on temporary immigration, Immigration Minister Marc Miller last week announced a tap of the brakes. The overdue move is welcome – though so far it’s more pledge than plan, with many details about execution (not this government’s strong suit) still to come.

Justin Trudeau’s point man says he’s ‘not naive’ as he tackles Canada’s surging immigration numbers

Marc Miller is doing what no other immigration minister has done in recent history.

He’s letting fewer temporary residents come to Canada in the short term. While planning for more immigrants in future.

Barely a year after taking over the immigration and refugee portfolio, Miller is steering a controversial course correction to avert an unplanned and unmanageable surge in temporary residents. By capping overseas student visas, and dialing down foreign work permits, he is reasserting control over uncontrolled trend lines.

Mob Rule Versus Survival of the West: Why Americans Should Be Watching the UK

It’s been hard to watch the effects of forced diversity, multiculturalism, and mass immigration on the tiny island of Great Britain—the most densely populated nation in Europe. At least in America we still have so much land area that most people are not yet feeling the effects of large-scale population displacement stemming from all forms of immigration.
In the UK, however, every day feels like an episode of “Survivor” as people who are being crammed in like sardines are increasingly made to fear that they’ll be voted off the island.

Migrant TikTok influencer probed by child services and admits he tried Canada first —but it didn’t give handouts

“How to have a free high-end phone”

The TikTok influencer who encouraged “fellow Venezuelans” to squat in American homes is being probed by child services after using his baby daughter in his guides to scamming and begging.

Moreno shot to infamy telling his 507,000 TikTok followers, “If a house is not inhabited, we can seize it.”

And on Friday he doubled down, repeating the same message, calling squatting “the American dream,” and defiantly boasting that he had the right to “free speech” in the US.

German 2023 Crime Data: More Crime, More Violence, More Foreign Perpetrators

State interior ministers for the first time admit that rising crime is linked to migration.

Multiple German state interior ministers from establishment parties, who for years denied the link between mass migration and increased crime, have now acknowledged the connection.

The Union ministers’ acknowledgments came early this week as Germany’s 16 federal states, one by one, continue to release their police crime statistics (PKS) for 2023—figures that reveal a precipitous rise in the proportion of non-German suspects compared to past years.

Trudeau government sets meaningless temporary resident targets for the first time this fall

OTTAWA – For the first time, Canada will set targets for the number of new temporary resident arrivals to the country, Immigration Minister Marc Miller announced Thursday.

The federal government plans to decrease the number of temporary residents to five per cent of the population over the next three years, down from the current 6.2 per cent.

The first targets will be set in September.

The Case for Mass Immigration is Dead

‘Diversity’ and ‘multiculturalism’ have never been in such low water.

On Monday night, it became clear to a sizeable Westminster audience that the case for mass immigration is dead. The venue was the Emmanuel Centre, the occasion a public debate put on by Touchpoint Politics: “Is Immigration Good for Britain?” Moderated by The Spectator’s Katy Balls, anyone willing to cough up £20 or so was entitled to watch the comedian Konstantin Kisin and the political scientist Matthew Goodwin, both opposing the motion, go up against co-founder of Novara Media Aaron Bastani and Polly Toynbee of the Guardian.

Neither side said anything new, ground-breaking, or particularly radioactive. But while this created no hiccups so far as Kisin and Goodwin were concerned, for Bastani and Toynbee the lack of novelty was quite fatal.
