PBS Takes On Fox, Liberal Prof Says You Can’t Link Illegal Aliens to ‘One Horrific Incident’

Tuesday evening’s PBS NewsHour covered last week’s brutal murder of a college student by an illegal immigrant on the campus of the University of Georgia. It began factually but descended into typical PBS left-wing apologia — funded by taxpayers like you.

The NewsHour aired tributes from the president of her sorority, then summarized the case in a forthright manner.

We were ignored. Now everyone can see mass migration is ruining Britain

It will be described as a bombshell, but the warning signs have been there for many years.

I have long tried to warn people that UK politics was heading in a sectarian direction, but it was too inconvenient for our political and media class to accept my comments. Mass immigration, diversity and multiculturalism have become gods that we are all supposed to bow down to. The difference this time is that this religious sectarian victory is here to stay.

I’ve been openly saying, too, that this new form of sectarianism will lead to the hard-Left Islamist party getting a foothold in Westminster. Again, people chose to ignore me.

Canada’s ‘unhinged’ housing: 25 students living in basement, room for rent with bed in kitchen

As Canadians struggle to keep up with rising costs, ‘unconventional’ living arrangements are becoming more common.

Earlier in February, Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown announced that 25 students were found to be living illegally in an apartment in a discovery made by the city’s bylaw department. Brown stated at a Committee of Council meeting that there could be about 100,000 residents living in illegal rental units in Brampton and the city intends to crack down on the issue, Toronto Sun reported.

ANALYSIS: Hiking Immigration to Boost Canada’s Economy Amid Aging Population Looking Doubtful

Canada’s mass immigration policy to revitalize the economy amid an aging population has yet to bear fruit. Compared to higher U.S. business investment and productivity, relying on immigration for economic growth has been to the country’s detriment, says a former Statistics Canada chief economic analyst.

“It is a clear fact that these very high rates of immigration have not given the economy a boost. … We cannot absorb this number of people that fast,” Philip Cross, senior fellow at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, told The Epoch Times on Feb. 27.

Besides labour, capital and technology also contribute to economic growth, said Mr. Cross.

Douglas Todd: Population growth squeezing Canada’s young adults like never before

Wondering why rents in Canada are breaking records?

The Bank of Montreal’s chief economist, Douglas Porter, says there is “zero mystery.”

The population of people 20-to-29-years-old in Canada has suddenly shot up 6.2 per cent in a year. That’s nearly double Canada’s recent overall population jump, which is also breaking records.

Is the ‘market value of becoming Canadian’ dropping? Fewer immigrants are becoming citizens

Canada is taking in more immigrants than it ever has. But new data suggests that fewer and fewer of them are becoming citizens.

The proportion of eligible permanent residents acquiring citizenship has dropped significantly, especially during the last census period. A study released by Statistics Canada on Wednesday shows the proportion of permanent residents who acquired Canadian citizenship after they met the residency requirement has decreased from 75 per cent in 1996 to just 46 per cent in 2021.

While the rate of newcomers acquiring citizenship has declined consistently during the past six censuses, the drop was steep in the latest national survey, particularly among recent immigrants with lower levels of education, lower family income and lower language skills.

Another Trudeau legacy – Migrants with ZERO loyalty or concern for Canada.

“Immigrants get candid about why they want to leave Canada”

When Raghunath Poshala immigrated to Canada from India in 2018, he was promised a better life for himself and his family.

“Everybody said it’s a first world country — education and healthcare are free. So, I thought it’d be a better place for us to raise a family,” the 39-year-old explained over the phone.

Canada bringing back visa requirements for Mexican nationals to curb asylum seekers

The federal government is reimposing some visa requirements on Mexican nationals visiting Canada, a senior government source tells Radio-Canada.

The new rules will take effect on 11:30 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Quebec Premier François Legault has been calling on the federal government to do more to slow the influx of asylum seekers into his province. Last week, he said Ottawa should bring back the visa requirement for Mexican travellers.

In less than 24 hours, two separate stories of 14-year-old girls being raped by ‘bad hombres’ hit the news cycle

If police can be held responsible for conduct while acting in their professional capacities, then why not the judges, prosecutors, and politicians aiding and abetting the criminal aliens wreaking havoc and violence?

I actually almost missed the fact that when I came across the “illegal migrant rapes a 14-year-old girl” headline twice, it reflected two separate instances of illegal migrants raping a young teen-aged female—understandably I thought it was the same story.

Ireland Is Burning

As tensions mount over mass migration and a spate of brutal crimes by immigrants, Ireland is beginning to burn. Nationalist sentiments last seen in the twilight years of British colonial rule are reawakening, as a disenfranchised native population resorts to desperate measures to make their opposition to reckless migration policies heard.

Irish state broadcaster RTE recently reported that, since 2018, 23 buildings linked to planned migrant centres have been badly or completely damaged by fire. Ten of these fires have occurred since November of 2023. After Ross Lake House Hotel in County Galway, which was due to house 70 asylum seekers, burned on 16 December 2023, Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar stated, “There is no justification for violence, arson, or vandalism in our Republic. Ever.” Green Party member and Minister for Integration Roderick O’Gorman called the fire “deeply sinister” and “designed to intimidate people seeking international protection here in Ireland.”

Trudeau in trouble as Canada’s ‘student trafficking’ industry backfires

Canada’s radical immigration experiment, which has given it one of the world’s fastest rates of population growth, has run into big trouble in the ring of suburbs and small cities around Toronto.

A post-pandemic surge of international students is causing prices for rental housing to soar and placing a spotlight on the uncontrolled growth of colleges that, according to the government’s own immigration minister, are taking advantage of vulnerable young people with inferior academic programs. Much of the blame is falling on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who oversaw a tripling in the number of foreign students to more than 1 million. Today, about 1 in 40 people in the country is on a foreign-study visa.

Canada’s international student spike was blamed on private colleges. Here’s what really happened

Documents obtained by CBC News reveal which colleges and universities account for the greatest share of Canada’s steep growth in international students, and which now have the most to lose from a new cap on permits to study in this country.

The data, obtained through access to information requests to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), shows the number of study permits granted each year since 2018 for foreign students to attend post-secondary institutions across the country.

That’s odd Miller contradicts CBC’s assertion …

Ottawa will shut down shady post-secondary institutions if provinces don’t: Miller

OTTAWA – Ottawa is ready to step in and shut down shady schools that are abusing the international student program if provinces don’t crack down, Immigration Minister Marc Miller warned Tuesday.
Miller said there are problems across the college sector, but some of the worst offenders are private institutions — and those schools need to go.

“There’s responsibility to go around,” Miller said on Parliament Hill ahead of the weekly cabinet meeting. “I just think that some of the really, really bad actors are in the private sphere and those need to be shut down.”

‘Absolutely out of control’: Brampton cracking down on landlords renting out illegal student rooming houses

Over the past two years, Michelle Gauthier says she has seen her neighbourhood in Brampton significantly change. Homes have been sold off and dozens of people have moved in and out of certain houses, cramming into 1960s bungalows once reserved for single families.

“We’ve gone from houses that have two people living in them, to houses that – in some cases, like the one across the street from me – have 13 to 15 people living in it,” Ms. Gauthier said.

Influx of asylum seekers to Manitoba putting extra pressure on shelter system, advocates say

A growing number of asylum seekers in Manitoba is driving up demand for services to help them and putting pressure on Winnipeg’s already strained shelter system.

According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, 185 asylum claimants in Manitoba were processed this January alone, compared to just 35 in January 2023.

Because these individuals aren’t eligible for employment and income assistance, many have been relying on homeless shelters, said Emily Halldorson, humanitarian response specialist with the Manitoba Association of Newcomer Serving Organizations.

Corporate Media Cover For Biden’s Border Invasion By Pretending Laken Riley Murder Suspect Wasn’t An Illegal Crosser

Corporate media are covering for the deadly consequences of President Joe Biden’s border invasion by pretending the illegal border crosser who allegedly assaulted, kidnapped, imprisoned, and murdered 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student Laken Hope Riley this week was merely a nearby resident and not an illegal alien from Venezuelan with a criminal history.
