UK and France to present Ukraine peace plan to Trump, PM says … Good Luck

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has said the UK and France are to work with Ukraine “on a plan to stop the fighting” with Russia – and will then “discuss that plan with the United States”.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is due at a summit of European leaders, two days after a fiery exchange with US President Donald Trump in the White House.

Sir Keir told BBC One’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg that his “driving purpose” right now was to act as a “bridge” between the two men.

I think the TDS -Zelensky crowd have sealed their fate.

America can’t be expected to carry Europe or Canada on its shoulders forever.

Can Ukraine survive without US aid? The reality of going it alone

After Zelensky’s meeting with Trump, Kyiv must face the prospect of standing up to Russia by itself. Europe’s help may not suffice

The row in the Oval Office between President Zelensky and President Trump has brought the geopolitical nightmare scenarios conjured during last month’s Munich Security Conference closer to reality: an American withdrawal from Europe, a breakup of Nato, even a closer ideological affinity between Washington and Moscow than with its traditional allies. The question of whether Ukraine can continue to defend itself against Russia’s invasion without US support is now an immediate concern.

Former Nato commander warns end of alliance could be ‘days away’

Nato could be in its final days, a former Supreme Allied Commander has warned, as America’s commitment to the transatlantic alliance wavers.

Admiral James Stavridis, who served as Nato’s Europe commander from 2009-2013, said we could be witnessing the “last days” of the alliance and the start of a new “European Treaty Organisation”.

Donald Trump’s insistence on European leaders increasing their defence budgets, combined with his falling out with Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office, has sparked concern among members of the alliance.

NATO Secretary General calls for Zelensky to ‘restore relationship’ with Trump following Oval Office clash

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte called on March 1 for President Volodymyr Zelensky to mend relations with U.S. President Donald Trump following a tense exchange in White House a day prior.

Zelensky left Washington early without signing a mineral deal with the United States following a tense argument in front of journalists between the two leaders. Trump later reportedly ordered his officials to tell the Ukrainian delegation to leave the White House, despite protest from the Ukrainians.

Speaking to the BBC, Rutte said that it was “important that President Zelensky finds a way to restore his relationship with the American president and with the senior American leadership team.”

White House clash ups pressure on Europeans to aid Ukraine without U.S.

European leaders rallied around Volodymyr Zelensky after the exchange with Donald Trump and JD Vance. But arming Ukraine without U.S. help would be a struggle.

BRUSSELS — For Kyiv’s European allies, the shouting match in the Oval Office has intensified the pressure to fill the gaps in U.S. aid with their own weapons and to face up to whether they can go it alone in arming Ukraine.

The public breakdown has derailed days of European attempts to mend Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s ties with President Donald Trump and jeopardized the future of U.S. military aid for Ukraine.

The Maga reporter whose humiliation of Zelensky sparked a geopolitical crisis

Zelensky’s dress style is a Castro like Schtick

‘Why don’t you wear a suit?’ jibe aimed at Ukrainian president came from the boyfriend of Right-wing firebrand Marjorie Taylor Greene

It was a low blow designed to humiliate the president of Ukraine in front of a global television audience and provide a viral clip for social media.

To the delight of a laughing crowd inside the Oval Office, Brian Glenn, a leading member of a new cadre of Maga-enthusiast reporters reshaping White House coverage, ridiculed Volodymyr Zelensky over his dress sense.

No one declared a geopolitical crisis when Ukraine NGO’s supported by USAID began making Kill Lists of troublesome US citizens.

Here Come The Conspiracy Theories About the Trump/Zelensky Clash

We’ve seen this movie before. A foreign leader comes to Washington, demands American blood and treasure, and our media elites swoon like teenage girls at a Taylor Swift concert. But yesterday’s Oval Office meeting between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy didn’t follow the script, and predictably, the left is melting down.

Trudeau voices support for Ukraine following tense Trump-Zelenskyy meeting

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau voiced support for Ukraine after a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy went completely off the rails.

Trump and Vice-President JD Vance berated Zelenskyy at the White House on Friday as the leaders met to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, access to the country’s critical minerals and a potential ceasefire with Russia.

Both the Trudeau and Freeland posts are being ratio’d.

The Ukraine has a huge recruiting disaster on their hands.

People just will not sign up to fight and many have fled the country.

Unless and until the why behind the recruiting failure is answered it makes little sense to support Zelensky.

I suspect Ukraine became the Deep State’s replacement forever war having lost the Afghanistan trough.

How the Trump, Zelensky meeting went off the rails

Efforts to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine were left in tatters following President Trump’s confrontational White House meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which erupted into one of the most remarkable Oval Office scenes in years.

Zelensky arrived at the White House on Friday with the hopes of signing a critical minerals deal with the U.S. and securing assurances from Trump as he seeks to broker peace between Kyiv and Moscow. But negotiations ended shortly after they started, with Trump calling Zelensky “disrespectful” and saying he was “not ready for peace.”

Media silent went Biden got into shouting match with ungrateful Zelenskyy in 2022

AI but fun!

Zelensky was always prone to grandstanding, an actor he sought time on Hollywood award shows to win the hearts and minds of I don’t know who Rap singers I presume.

But campaigning for the Democrats was the worst role he ever undertook.

Tears and shock in Ukraine and Europe after heated Zelensky-Trump meeting

KYIV — A confrontational White House meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and President Donald Trump drew exasperated and fearful reactions from European and Ukrainian observers, as Kyiv’s hopes of aligning Trump’s view of the war with its own dwindled with each heated exchange.

“I’m just crying because of what I hear,” a Ukrainian lawmaker said of the meeting, speaking on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the situation.

Just the word “wow” is how Oleksandr, 40, a Ukrainian military officer fighting in Russia’s Kursk region, responded to the footage of the argument.

Zelensky claims ‘not sure that we did something bad’ after Trump Oval Office blowup — but ‘of course’ can fix bond

WASHINGTON — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denied wrongdoing Friday night in his first public remarks since a major Oval Office argument with President Trump that upended talks to end his country’s war with Russia.

“I’m not sure that we did something bad,” Zelensky told Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier when asked if he owed Trump an apology — before saying moments later that “of course” the relationship between the men can be mended.”I respect the president and I respect the American people,” the 47-year-old leader said in the interview, without admitting fault for clashing with Trump and Vice President JD Vance earlier in the day.

Canada could be barred from a future peacekeeping mission in Ukraine, expert says

OTTAWA — Canada may have difficulty taking part in a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine after a future ceasefire because it has clearly taken a side in the conflict, an international affairs expert suggests.

During a visit to Kyiv on the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion on Monday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau did not rule out deploying Canadian troops to the region as part of a possible peace deal.

But that decision isn’t entirely up to Canada.

Trump to Zelenskyy: ‘You’re gambling with WWIII’

U.S. President Donald Trump met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday after calling his Ukrainian counterpart a “dictator without elections” last week — and the two had a heated exchange at a photo opportunity after.

Zelenskyy told Trump that promises of peace from Vladimir Putin can’t be trusted, noting the Russian leader’s history of broken promises. Trump said Putin hasn’t broken agreements with him.

Trump said Zelenskyy isn’t acting “at all grateful” for the aid given to Ukraine from the United States for the war with Russia.

At one point, Trump, raising his voice, said to Zelenskyy, “you’re not really in a good position right now.”

“You’re gambling with WWIII,” Trump said.

Not an attack, more like putting Zelensky in his place.

Zelensky is gonna regret his assholism. I’m sure Trudeau and Freeland are euphoric.

Trump: We’ll end Ukraine war and strike ‘quick’ trade deal with the UK

President Trump has offered Sir Keir Starmer a trade deal that could exempt the UK from being hit with American tariffs as he hailed the “wonderful” relationship between the two nations.

The US president and Starmer announced that talks on a “new economic deal” were under way and Trump said that they could happen “very quickly” during a joint press conference in the White House.

Trump also talked up the prospect of an end to the war in Ukraine, saying: “I think we’ll have two deals. I think we’ll have a deal on ending the war and I think we’re going to end up with a great trade deal with you.”
